the controls and camera is always working against you, but sometimes, just sometimes you will get a 1 in a 100 amazing kill move that satisfies your blood lust
@@BradenSG yep, just get use to the control but with some tutos it helps to learn some moves. So I decided to make videos of my progression too. Now I am able to do a left swing 3 times on 5 but I can land a hit once.
Очень круто. Надеюсь, они запилят не только локальный мультиплеер, но и что-нибудь для серьезных ПвП разборок по сети, чтобы все эти скиллы можно было применить в настоящих дуэлях.
I'm very excited for multiplayer as well bro. If I recall from the Bare Mettle discord, there won't be any serious pvp going on, like rankings or tourneys. However, I don't believe that stops the community from hosting their own types of events. It will be interesting to see how it plays out, given the lower ping requirement for the game to function properly, but, we'll see in time.
Considering I played chiv and mordhau back in the day, I imagine I would be doing some 360 reverse overhead accel bullshit and look like a complete idiot.
It's kind of hard to describe, but every weapon has its sweet spot for getting good hits in. I've gotten quite consistent at getting the RtL and LtR at head level during the start of the swings. You can get them at head level towards the middle and end, but it's difficult to get it consistent in the moment when fighting, however I tend to have success when purposely/accidentally missing the first swing, and hitting head level with remise. My favourite is getting a false edge headshot to remise headshot combo, it's unbelievably satisfying. All I can really say is try to get a feel for your character and how they swing, rather than specific cursor position. When I'm in the moment, I'm not paying any attention to the cursor, but the way my character is moving instead. Once I become conscious of my cursor, then I focus too much on it and I play worse (unless I'm going for stabs). Here's a little clip of me smacking the dummy around. In this clip I'm also not paying mind to cursor, but the position of the blade and anticipating where it will be and where it will hit etc. streamable.com/5wbfk6 It's wayy simplified in this clip and won't always go smoothly during a fight, as you'll need to play off parries and have accurate ripostes to get your flow going, but with practice you'll definitely start to get the feel for it. Practice and patience really are key, it's okay to get frustrated but try to remember that no matter how much progress you're making, you are still actively getting better, and it feels REAL GOOD. I hope this is helpful, even if only in the slightest. Good luck mate, and don't be discouraged! P.S. Check out GilGamesHello, he has plenty of great guides for a lot of techniques you can pull off in game.
Funny that you mention it, while recording these clips I was playing on supersampling x8, which did indeed make the game noticeably slower and less responsive haha
if you meant gameplay, consider that the game relies heavily on physics interactions, meaning the player has to actually interpret everything that's happening. this naturally makes for slower gameplay than, say, pressing a parry button when an enemy flickers white.
