Trawling through comment sections in these compilations I find it so interesting to see how different experience people had with the game - whether random or due to choices made in play-through! You see, to me this is something that I heard him say pretty often but some other lines (like one that made me cackle out loud: 'Mountains, cold - let's bring Dorian!') that I haven't heard!
what really gets me is how he's like. one good hit from getting knocked out in so many of these clips. like yes king your banter is so clever please drink a healing potion 😔😔😔
Omg i was playing yesterday and heard the "sometimes the ones you love are also the ones who disappoint you the most." banter.... what makes it even worse is after that cole goes "get out, you are no son of mine." and dorian is like... "yes, like that" and cole goes "he wishes he didn't mean it." LIKE STOP ITS SO HEARTBREAKING
The “this conversation’s taken a turn for the moronic” is one of the funniest moments for me, especially in context, and is probably the moment I fully started adoring the D-man. Everything’s all sad and grim and awful, and Dorian’s just there with “*fuck*, you guys are dumb.”
At 1:47 , if you're romancing Cullen Dorian adds that he really doesn't want to explain to Cullen you died by falling off a tree, which is even funnier trying to imagine that conversation
Dorian actually helped me come out of the closet 10 years ago. He was the very 1st gay romance i had in a game and helped me overcome internalized homophobia to realize being gay is perfectly normal. I will forever love DA:I for helping me be my true self ❤
That is so damn incredible! I am a trans man and Dorian helped me a lot to come to terms with my sexuality as well. I always had kind of imposter syndrome, because I am not super manly. This whole "my footsies are freezing, I hate being here, I'm too pretty to die" shit could all be me, but I always felt like it wasn't manly enough so to speak. Dorian really helped me understand that there is no point in giving a shit. Be yourself, be awesome and do it with style!
They really hit bull's eye with Dorian. It's not just the sass, it's the intelligence and sensitivity underlying it. His being quite the eye candy, besides... Can you love an animated character? Because i think I have a gynormous crush on him.
It's absolutely normal to have a crush on a character that isn't real...millions do it every day with eejits such as The Kardashians... Oh my, Dorian is rubbing off on me! 😉🌈
i never heard the coughing clip at the end and OH MY GOD ok all of the coughing clips are incredible bc it's so over the top and they're literally all just running around fine while they're acting like they're dying but i love how dorian just. shouts. just "HAU-" ok dude this is why you fill your wineskin with water instead of actual wine when you go into the desert, glad we learned our lesson
@@SoulEaterFan13 This is what happened to me! I’ve got several playthroughs from when the game first came out, and just played the romance with Dorian for the first time 2 1/2 months ago. My favorite has now changed and I’ll be playing make elves forever.
Me another full lesbian: I'll probably never play as a male inquisitor but I make sure that Dorian gets together with Iron bull on every playthrough because he deserves to be happy.
I love this man so much :) Dorian's pretty much always in my party so I hear him say "I can do this all day!" and "I'm too pretty to die!" all the time though. Between that and my Inquisitor shouting "Dorian!" every time an enemy sneezes at him, I fear that we're the annoying gay couple terrorizing Thedas as my party is just done with us 😆
I always loved Dorian as a character. He walked away from everything to fight the fight his country would not. He knows Tevinter can be more, he knows it could be magnificent, but is so mired in corruption it will never become that. Tevinter is seen as the source of everything evil and terrible, all our encounters from tevinter in the games showed us this, from the slavers in DA:O, to the slavers hunting Fenris in DA:II. We have never seen anything to change our minds. Then this magnificent and dashing fellow arrives and is determined to do the right thing no matter what, refuses to let corypheus win without at least one mage from tevinter standing against him. This is a man who is willing to fight to change, to fight for his country - even if it is not what his country wants. Surrounded by corruption and despair he is the one who stood up and said 'no. I will NOT be a part of this.' and it cost him literally everything. His social standing, his family, his country. He is now a pariah for wanting to do the right thing. Great character. I hope he and his father fix their relationship. His dad genuinly seemed like he regretted what he wanted to do to Dorian, but only realised when it was too late.
I’ve never played whatever this game is but this character makes me want to buy it Watching this and having no context for anything is about 10 times funnier I imagine
I'm a hetero male so at first I just wanted to go for a different female romance each playthrough. But damn, I feel like I might do one more playthrough just for this charming fellow.
