@@vitaminademorango It's fantastic. And Neil naturally put his whole effort into the role and knocked it out of the park. Love Fibonacci the sentient fish
No, he's quite stupid. In the original and BG2 he has an Int of 8. He's also way, way overdone in those games. Frankly, BG3 did a lot to justify Minsc as a character. I never had him in my party during BG 1 and 2
At first I didn't think I'd like him bc he's too forward and then I realized that's kinda who I am but I'm not a powerful wizard who bed a literal goddess. But with such an active mind it takes me very little to get the "I wanna marry them, get animals, maybe have one kid and adopt more bc one pregnancy is scary enough... Omg would their mom like me?" but I don't text for sht and come out of the house once a blue moon so we are friendly but they aren't sure I actually like them. Bah.
@@deepseasnailfishbut like, he does say that our adventuring situation is not ideal for family life AND he has a bomb in his chest, so I don’t blame him for saying he’s not father material BUT he doesn’t say he doesn’t ever want to be a father… Forgive this random online person ranting about a fictional character
You missed the best part after reviving Astrion. If you say that the tadpole was supposed to make sunlight non harmful to him, he answers "Well, apparently there's a limit. Somewhere between a nice summer day and THE CONCENTRATED POWER OF THE SUN!!!"
i know it's all fake for Astarion, he does it to hide his true self, when i'm 100% sure that Gale doesn't even realize how goofy he is and that makes him the funniest guy of the team
At 6:52 when you fell and then all your companions fell in a little row, i died. imagine you walk behind your friend, watch her fall over, then do the exact same thing with your other friends
Another great Minsc and Astarion moment: If you take astarion and Minsc near the garden south Lady Jannath's Estate, north of the steel watch foundry, astarion will yell at minsc out for talking to boo because he doesnt believe that Boo actually talks to Minsc. And Minsc replies something like "Well, Astarion. Boo is of good breeding, and so only speaks when he has something nice to say. Perhaps this is why he has never seen fit to speak to you." and Astarion goes "How delightfully vicious! I'm beginning to like the hamster..." I love this moment its so funny.
Gale is truly endgame to me. He has such a wet dog energy sometimes, like how can you be so charming and handsome - but also lowkey sad at the same time 😭 like so dramatic and fast to pour out his emotions, such a nerd and simp as well, yet so innocent and classic about love. Everyone dunking on him is just the cherry on top. I love this "coming on too strong, too fast" energy honestly. Such a well-written character like most of them.
4:59 "Now shall we go? Or do you have any other chaos you need to unleash here?" - Skips to next clip where a whole freaking building goes up in explosions. xD Good timing right there.
@@vitaminademorangoisn’t it though? I started making a list of all their creepy lines. My favorites are “pave my path with corpses, build my castle with bones”, “intestines throb, blood whispers” and “they should all be running”
Anything Minsc says is just so adorable and hilarious I just can't. When you first meet Boo you can say "it's a honor" and Minsc will reply :No - it's a hamster" like come on
Omg I missed Minsc on my first playthrough because Jaheira had died at Moonrise but now I am going to do everything in my might to keep her alive so that I can recruit the both of them
Yeah, he really is haha. On my second playthrough I got him as early as possible and took him almost everywhere to see what he says. If you take him along for the final battle he can even give a speech in front of all the allies! Definitely a fun guy to have around.
Omg Gale's comment about the Owlbear never leaving your side because you fed it and 'the hand that feeds is the hand that loves' 😂 Like, yeah, we've been feeding you magical items, I get it. Just fully projecting.
Dumb moment me and my friend had in the phase spider cave. We sent Astarion out on his own to sneak around the spider matriarch and we had several 'oh no he's fucked' moments. He managed to get back with the gem and we avoided the fight entirely. We spent the entire time humming the mission impossible theme.
Mental note - make a valiant effort to keep Jaheira alive so I can eventually recruit Minsc. Edit: Minsc is 100% worth saving. Haven't laughed so hard in ages! (thank you Larian and Matt Mercer!) XD
@@elenalizabethwait lmao does he choose the highest approval companion out of jealousy? That’s hilarious considering he said shadowheart on my first durge playthrough and I was still deciding who to romance between the two of them (I picked him in the end though) 😂
@@statementofjoespooky1660 yeah I didn’t realise until my 2nd playthrough that he chooses “who maybe could be killed” out of jealousy. Like he tries to act like he isn’t really into Tav/Durge and just “having fun”, but really he is down bad really fast, even if he won’t admit it (or maybe just too scared to lose someone he loves so he pretends he doesn’t love them). Because I played things so different the 2nd game - like getting Shart out of the pod on the ship boosted her approval much quicker, etc I have a high approval with Shart but only medium with Gale (which is kinda amazing because in my 1st game he approves of everything, so I’m having to be a pretty big asshole in the 2nd game to not have him approving haha).
Allright I gotta know, if you tell Astarion you rather kiss a leech will that lock you out of the romance or can you continue to playfully insult each other because I'm all for it if so.
Tav : "Gale, how about added another person into our relationship> Gale : "What? like a child? I neve---- Tav : *sweating like waterfall think how to tell him its local DILF in your area*
I remember being near the Sussur tree in the Underdark and if you interact with the Sussur bloom as a magic user and Gale speaks to you, you can make a comment about something with ducks and Gale's only response is "Quack."
It's in Act 1, you have to get the Book of Thay and the pearl to open it and you have to give it to Astarion to read. It's a special book, if a companion reads it, you can't give it to another companion
Matt Mercer. And in BG1-2 he was voice by someone else but similarly. Same with Jaheira, different voice actor but they did a good job imitating the original
