In Orangeburg SC we dont have a little wooden church but I have seen the Holy Ghost hit my mother I want it so bad I got baptized in November of 2019 I want to receive the Holy Ghost. I have seen the miracle of God work for my mother and myself. I remember the songs we sing I can't wait to go back home I miss my church!
I remember my Mom used to play this when I was a kid. I didn't know anything about it, but I thank God for her prayers and ministering to me when I was growing up. I used to be grouchy when Mom made us go to church. But I thank God for it now. At 44 years old, God has truly brought me through a lot... Thank You Lord.

I remember the morning bench and the first time my cousins and I had to go up there and the people came around and said stand up for Jesus. We all just sat there and went back the next night and knew that we had to stand up when the preacher said stand up for Jesus
I just love these old Gospel songs. I may be 16 but I love going to church ⛪ every Sunday. My mother taught me how to be a child of God. Every day I be listening to Gospel music and I love praising God
I remember in that little church in Green wood Mississippi, with my grandmother and my family what a good time God came in and touch everyone, THANK you for this song
My moma was from greenwood and my dad was from Clarksdale I could remember going down their when I was a child the outhouses because we didn't have a indoor toilet I would be so scared to go to that outhouse being from the city but you talk about a good time running and playing nothing could beat it.
AMEN, makes me think about how my mom made me go the church every Sunday, and because she did ,I am saved sanctified filled with the holy spirit, I did stray away, but God brought me back to him,and I thank God that he didn't let me forget how my mother raised me to be a Christian, and that I belong to him,I give God all Glory and Honor and Praise in the name of christ Jesus 🙏🙌❤
You can bring a horse to water, but you can't make him drink. At one of those services, you had an awareness and change of mind, and when you thirsted after righteousness, you drank!

As I let my mind go back I can see the little wooden church Sitting by the railroad tracks Just a little shabby ole place We used to sing Amazing Grace Talking 'bout a good time Oh yes, a mighty mighty good time Someone would put up a tent In an open field (you know what else) Folks would come from miles around Going over rocks and rivs Very little money was raised But so many souls were saved Talking 'bout a good time Oh yes, a mighty mighty good time (You know what, I can see ole Deacon Johnson over in the corner when his soul caught on fire.. y'all can help me sing this) I love Jesus! I love Jesus! I love Jesus! Yes I do (And you know what by that time, ole Reverend get in, he'd get up and say church, I don't 'bout y'all this morning but..) None but the righteous None but the righteous None but the righteous Shall see God (By then my Big Mama be happy... tears running down her face, she slowly get up and raise her hand and say something like this) I know I got religion I know I got religion I know I got religion Yes I do! (We got one more yall here come a momma on the mother's board, she got happy yall and I can hear her say Rev I got something to say!) Take me to the water Take me to the water Take me to the water To be baptized Talking 'bout a good time A mighty mighty good time A mighty mighty good time A mighty mighty good time A mighty mighty good time You know what Just a little shabby ole place We used to sing Amazing Grace Talking 'bout a good time Oh yes! A mighty mighty good time!

Thank God for our Grandparents, and Parents teaching us and raising us up the right way. And giving us a foundation through Jesus Christ. I will never forget going to Church every Sunday going to Revival as a child and young man.
Dottie, I remember when there were not but a handful of full folks, and the lord came in and blessed everyone there. Not to mention the shut-ins at the Holy Miracle Church-God.
I remember the old wooden church and I'm 62 I've been going on 63 and 2022 and baptized in the morning bench I went through it all nothing but the love of Jesus
the road was grovel, and dusty. Ushers had to fan to some of the peoples filled with the Holy Ghost. I was a Teenager, but I still now remember in my mind see them having Church
Early this morning, something got a hold on me. I was with you this morning Lady Dottie. On my 65th birthday today, I know I’m blessed. I am spending my birthday celebrating with all of you. I want to be near the anointing. That I would have 65 more years of ministering to all those I may come in contact with.
Story of my childhood! This song touches my soul. I grew up going to a little wooden church that sat next to railroad tracks. I love me some old school gospel! Our culture is everything!! ❤❤

Since this ( Virus is still around we should thank God for keeping us alive!! I love Jesus! I love Jesus , yes I do . None but the righteous !! ) Thank you Lord !!
I love this song. This is when gospel was gospel. I had a mighty mighty good time listening to Dottie Peoples & Choir singing this song and singing along with them. I can just picture what she's singing about. It takes me back home. Thank you for posting this beautiful song. Keep up the good works.
This reminds me of the old church my grandparents attended. It was an old wooden church, but the preacher laid it out- fire and brimstone, pounding on the pulpit. Their music was not as rousing as this, though. As a young girl, I was quite impressed by the preaching. As an adult, I am still a follower of Jesus!
It is not about the building. The little church where I got saved, will forever remain in my heart I got saved and fill with the Holy Ghost and that with fire. Been serving in the army of the Lord every since. Sanctified and Holy
