These two teams are trying to be the first to bounce a ping-pong ball inside the bucket so they can spring into the lead with twenty dollars, and gain control of the craziest game show on TV, Double Dare! And now, here's your Double Dare host, Marc Summers!
"These two teams are doing the opposite of making a mess, they're _cleaning it up!_ Whoever mops up the most mess into their bucket and past the line will win 20 bucks and control of Round 1, on the messiest game show on television! It's... *_SUPER SLOPPY DOUBLE DARE!_* And now, here's your host, _a man who makes a clean sweep in syndication... MARC SUMMERS!_ " "Thank you, Harvey! And welcome to Super Sloppy Double Dare. This is the show where our contestants run through a very messy obstacle course to win eight fabulous prizes."
@@TBONE_2004 "Aaaand Hands Across the Water, Hands Across the Sky as these two teams rise to the occasion but only one can 'Kick the Bucket' to collect 25 ducats, and take control of the game where we're glad to lend a helping hand! Iiiiit's **FAMILY DOUBLE DARE**!! And now, here's your Family Double Dare host, a man who went through maroon boot camp in an hour and 20 minutes, Captain Marc Summers!"
@@JoshFreilich "Thank you, Harvey! Hello, everyone at home and here at Universal Studios Florida, welcome to Family Double Dare. This is the game show where families compete to run our Family Double Dare Obstacle Course to win eight fabulous prizes, including a brand new car."
I READ THAT EXACTLY, TOO, (without the Family part) AT THE END WHERE THEY REMIND US, TOO! Of course, Nickelodeon studios is no longer there, it's that Blue Man Group, IF that's still even there?
Double Dare started here in my hometown of Philadelphia before it moved to Florida for Nickelodeon. It was also one of my favorite game shows as a kid too.
I was on Super Sloppy Double Dare back in the day. This theme really took me back. Sweet sweet (Sloppy) memories...Thanks for posting. I needed a trip in the way back machine.
This theme song is such a timeless classic and instantly brings back a lot of great memories of watching this on Nick back in the day. With ABC reviving classic game shows in the last year or so, i would love to see them bring back Double Dare.
the best game show on television, hands down...especially family double dare. between the outrageous family fun and just literally getting down and dirty, who doesn't wanna be on this show?
When we were watching this on TV in the 80s, our parents and older siblings were probably scoffing at us, thinking "Man, TV was so much better in MY day." Nostalgia has a funny way of making everything seem perfect. This was a great show, but there's good shows on now, too.
If you have this flag in your hand in 60 seconds or less....you'll win today's grand prize.....A FABULOUS NEW CAR!!!! Double Dare was THE show that put Nickelodeon on the map, and one of my all time favorites too.
Ahh, listening to the theme brings back so many great childhood memories! Definitely one of my favorite shows of all time. I would always watch this show while trying to do my homework...lol.
This song brings back so many fond memories of watching this show, much to my Mother's dismay of saying, "No you can't watch that." I wish I still had my copy of "Double Dare: Super Sloppiest Moments Ever". Oh to be a kid in the late 1980's again.
I don't know if those who watch with their kids noticed, but he once announced for Jack Barry on The Joker's Wild and Bruce Forsyth on Hot Streak. He had at least a little announcer experience under his belt.
I am so happy to have grown up during the golden years of kids' television: Double Dare, Nick Arcade, Guts, Legends of the Hidden Temple. What passes for kids' entertainment these days? "iCarly?" "Spongebob?" "Big Time Rush?" Boy, today's kids are really missing out.
This just reminds me of the golden age of tv during the 80s & 90s. When you had a show to watch every night & sometimes had to pick between a few good ones. All the game shows would run after school, then the cartoons & at 8pm, Nick at Nite would start. Then they extended Nickelodeon to like 9 then 10.
When I was a kid I was absolutely POSITIVE that at some point Double Dare must have had an actual intro with a lyrical version of this theme, purely because the "da-da-da" parts evoked the title so clearly.
Man! Hearing this theme brings back the memories! I I really miss this show... I always think about it whenever I hear this music I luv this theme!! :)
"Ah ha! Burying the enemy in a rockslide, just like I totally planned!" "I thought you said you wanted to avoid killing too many people!" "Huh?" "You buried our would-be allies..." "Someone get the shovel..." "...and leveled the city at the bottom of the mountain." "TITS! Allright, forget all this noise! It's time for a good old-fashioned ass kicking! Ladies and gentlemen, it's go time!" *theme plays*
+Jonathan Martinez I hope The Splat will have a Double Dare week dedicated to the show's 30th Anniversary with less Hey Arnold,Rugrats, and CatDog over and over.
My childhood, which I would give anything to have back, brought me here! The show is simply unforgettable, and this theme is still one of the best ever in any name show!
In Brazil, SBT was inspired by the program Double Dare to create Passa ou Repassa (a program that works in the same or similar format), one of the games that was successful among teenagers in the 1990s was Torta na Cara, at the time the program was presented by Gugu Liberato
These two teams are about to head to head in the sloppiest, messiest, and wildest show on television don't miss all the action here on D)UBLE DARE! With your host Marc summers!
Back when kids were allowed to get messy, bruised, and hurt also known as having fun. These days a precious snowflake winds up with a scratch you can bet they will sue for as much money they can get.
@tbone2004 It seemed like every mall near me had one, disappeared off the face of the earth - it really was fun being a kid and wandering though Kay Bee, and ToysRUs
William Scott These two teams are really putting their hands together by popping these balloons. Whoever pops all their balloons first wins 20 bucks and control of Round 1 on the craziest game show on television! IT'S DOUBLE DARE! And now, here's your Double Dare host, MARC SUMMERS!
I agree. But let me make one little correction... GAK! (Not slime) Just thought it was funny as a kid to hear Marc say "gak" during the physical challenges and obstacle courses...and funnier to see everybody covered in it 😂🤣
My lifelong dream is to go back in time, grab 8 year old versions of me and my best friend, and take them back further in time to give my younger self a chance to be on this show.
Here's How we Play Double Dare. Marc will ask you a Question. Answer it Correctly, and You'll Win its Dollar Value. If you Don't Know the Answer, You can "Dare" your Opponents to Answer it for Double the Dollars. You must be Careful, because they can "Double Dare" you Back, for Four Times the Dollars. At that Time, You must either Answer the Question, or take a Physcial Challenge.
double dare was my fave show i nickelodeon i used to wish i was on the show geting all messy marc summers now hosts unwrapped on the food network i glad to see marc hosting
This is your announcer Harvey speaking Double Dare has been filmed in front of a live audience at Nickelodeon Studios at Universal Studios in Orlando , Florida!! XD
This so easily could be a late 1990's WCW mid-carder theme. Just imagine Tony Schiavone with his blathering when this starts playing. "IIIITS TOMMY STEVENS!" Or "HERE COMES RICK O'BRIIIEN!"
Good luck to both teams, here's the rules of Family Double Dare, they go a little something like this: I'm going to ask you a question. If you don't know the answer or think the other family doesn't have a clue, you can dare them to answer it for double the dollars. But be careful, because they can always double dare you back for four times the amount. Then, you'll either have to answer the question or take the Physical Challenge.
these 2 teams r cooking up trouble as they beat the eggs 2 make our staff breakfast. the 1st team 2 crack up enough eggs 2 pass the line will get $25 n control of the 1st round on the most egg-citing show on tv. ITS FAMILY DOUBLE DARE. and now here ur family double dare host, a guy who is always cracking us up no matter what meal of the day it is MARC SUMMERS.
retroflashbackdude Thank you Harvey! Thank you so much, and welcome to Family Double Dare, here at Nickelodeon Studios in Orlando, Florida. This is the game show where two families make a huge mess in hopes of making it to our Double Dare Obstacle Course to win eight fabulous prizes!
@tbonesfa Exactly. I bet a part of Marc Summers inside was screaming in fear every time that pesky slime made an appearance, or it was some sort of pie throwing Physical Challenge. YOURE MESSING UP HIS FLOOR!!!
