idk about that, gackt at least made the first two games close by bringing leo to last stock. Leo was def the better player here, but I was surprised to see how close each game after seeing that leo had beaten gackt 3-0
@@nathanforsberg1816Fair enough. I’m not saying Gackt didn’t put up any fight, but it is crazy to see a player of such high caliber still seem so far behind compared to Leo. Again, anyone who knows Gackt can attest to how incredibly skilled he is. It’s sometimes hard to believe there are players so much better that they can win with such dominance. Leo went to last stock in one of the games due to a stock trade with Gackt’s recovery, and the other one ended with him still having taken no damage on his final stock. I’d still say it was pretty one-sided.
@@MCWaxC yeah that's fair. I guess I'm used to smash 4 where "a good showing" for a top Ness player against someone on MkLeo's level would've been not getting 2-stocked every game, lol
What's crazy to me is how the first game is super close, the second game was a little more tilted towards leo and the 3rd was just a massacre. My boi on some high quality wifi, because he downloads that shit fast.
Surprised Leo isn't pressuring Gackt's recovery more. Not that he needs to, but Ness's recovery is pretty easy to mess with if you know when it's coming and can get to him before PK Thunder hits him.
a player of Gackt's caliber would mix up recovery to go high or air dodge to ledge if Leo started going offstage more to pressure recovery. In that situation, Leo would be putting himself at risk for a reversal or at least big damage/disadvantage. Leo is so good at ledgetrapping that he prefers to hold stage and pressure the ledge getup instead of the recovery unless he has a stock lead, which we saw him do in this set.
@@juniperrodley9843 i wish hed realize that a delayed flick side B has more range than backair. Not in this set, but it hurts me when he misses bair over and over when side b would hit. That and id love to see more grounded throw but grounded throw is a different beast so i cant blame him
@@juniperrodley9843 yeah but when done right it still true combos. By delay i simply mean its not buffered/input at the same time as the jump. Just delay it a few frames and make sure to smash input. When done right it reaches further than a backair
Byleth covers the most problematic MU's with G&W and Ness, with things at worst being even. Out of all of Pika's ideal secondaries, I find Byleth the most fun.
@@hijinks1546 I don't know if the effect is significant enough to do that. If you go frame by frame it definitely looks like the tether shouldn't have hit, but maybe some hurtbox shifting did happen
This Ness isn't the best I have seen. All he does is spam airs like their buy one get one. And why isn't leo punishing him off stage. The Ness has only done one of two things ever time.
Oof Yeah that's this mu. Reminds me of the time I 3 stocked or nearly 3 stocked a ness in a local. Next game was closer but I still won. Love Leo's byleth. Wonder if he knows sour spot fair combos into fair.
