I love the fabrics you used especially the wavy stripes as well as the sashings with the faux pinwheel print as corner stones. Great ideas, Tracy. Thanks for sharing multiple block placements and sashings.
I am definitely going to make these blocks. I have lots patriotic theme fat quarters and yardage that this would be fun to make as a table top, runner, pot holders and placemats too! Great tutorial.
They both look great and that's a great idea about swapping fabrics for a different kind of a pin wheel. I liked the dark color of the pin wheel. The fabric would go great for cloth napkins for a meal too.
I'm just noticing your brilliant idea of a commands hook on your square ruler. What a GREAT idea. I'm off to do the same. 😊 I greatly enjoy your channel. Thanks!
YES I appliquéd a butterfly, because done is better than perfect. For me. The clapper absorbs the heat and really makes a huge difference. I didn’t think it would make a big difference but it does!
Tracey, I hope this fabric holds up. It is beautiful!! However, Jenny Doan of MSQ shared on a live Q and A that she purchased fabric from Walmart and it all faded and shredded and she was really sad.
Great quilt design, Tracy!!!!! I've been wanting to make a patriotic quilt for quite some time, but never really found a pattern that wow'd me. And now I have! Thanks for sharing this video and especially where you acquired the fabric! ❤️🤍💙 BTW: Yes, I made a HUGE cutting error on a whole layer cake pack. The miscut fabric is now in my scrappy quilt fabric bin. Oh well!
I feel your cutting pain, my granddaughter pointed it out when I used a quilt top as a tablecloth. She was just doing a silly game of match up to amuse herself. I hadn’t noticed too she spotted it.
Just found your channel and love this pinwheel design! Your tutorials are great and all the tips are appreciated. I like your easy, friendly style. Thank you!
I have made cutting makes. I had dogs barking like crazy, should have cut 5.5 inches, cut a complete row at 4 inches. To distracted listening to dogs and not stopping to check on the problem .
Very cute block, I plan to make these for July 4th quilt projects. What tool do you have on your rulers for ease in handling? Just found your channel, looking forward to more tutorials. You are a natural teaching & explaining common errors.
Have you ever used the forked pins to help hold opposing seams while preparing to sew the seams? The best. I would love to know where you got your iron. Thanks.
