Hey guys, in today's video, I'm going to be showing you how to create a mechanic in which you have to double tap a button to do anything you like. For example, sprinting, interacting, picking something up, toggling a flashlight, etc.

@@MattAspland yes i already see your video and move the camera but i dont now how to change the mesh i've seen a videos about how to change your mesh but i dont now how to create one i create a lowpoly hand with blender and export it as fbx and i import it after i go to the third person character bluprent and i didnt found the hand i create :( the problem is from blender or UE4 ?

@@Kadilamri123 Ah right okay, I assume you probably have it imported as a static mesh then, not a skeletal mesh. I believe for it to be a skeletal mesh, it needs to contain a skeleton too, which you use to animate the mesh with. If you don't want a skeleton and animations that way, you can use a static mesh instead of a skeletal mesh in the blueprint.

Ok i have a Request here Matt i wand to side roll and front roll. on the same buttons as left right forward but they need to share the Double tap it :) it makes no sense have a separate button for roll.

if i want to trigger multiple animations with the same key press more than 2 times how do i do it? So far with this method i can play 2 animations : the 1st one when i press it 1 time and the 2nd one when i press it 2 times. I would like to do this when i press it for a third,4th and multiple times. Help pls.

when i press another dirrection, for example if i'm double tap w, sure it's work and got my run animation, bu when combine it with another direction like A, S, or D, it just got disbling the run, any solution ?

This does not work in UE5. In my case, I played animation montage with delay after double tap and the animation played even when pressed only once. Also, If you push W + A(For example) the animation triggers too.

@@MattAspland Actually I was meaning more like going prone. So you would have 3 functions: single tap, double tap, and hold (say, 1 sec) and each could go off on its own line to trigger different things.
