@@midshipsport Korey is more of the straight man. You need someone like Korey to ground Billy and Martin, cause otherwise it would get too chaotic (i.e. what happened during Collider Live).
Alexisnaranjo same! I was watching this with my cousin the other day smoking herbs and we was crying with laughter! The video was entertaining - the way these guys break down the movie! I
I remember actually being excited to see this movie for months and when it was over I was like "wat". I think I was 9. basically same feeling I had at the end of the phantom menace opening weekend
Van Damme, Rick James and Macho Man Randy Savage are the 3 reasons we lost the war on drugs. Van Damme specifically looked higher than an eagle’s ass during this film and “Street Fighter”.
The war on drugs was started to eradicate Vietnam war vets and devalue black owned properties and destabilize the family structure. God bless reagan bush 1 and Clinton. Three headed demon
It honestly looks like a toy truck 😭 9:00 Out of my way!! 😂 12:05 That tiger is a snitch! 👀 17:37 Dennis smash! 😂 43:27 Aw that poor clown 😭🤡 22:24 Those glass must be destroyed! 24:34 Something definitely up with that guy voice 🤔 34:10 Why is the parachute shaped like a basketball? 😭😂 44:16 So forgot how bad this movie was, well at least Dennis rodman was fun. 💯
When is the MTV Dub for Volcano High gonna get a Review?? A South Korean martial arts film with the English Dub done by famous Rappers including Snoop Dogg,Big Boi,and Andre 3000 honestly shouldn't be forgotten.
Even when I watched the Nostalgia Critic's review of this film, that entire scene where they blocked the explosion with a Coca-Cola soda machine will always make me laugh. Best death ever indeed.
Still got a soft spot for this one. Even as a kid, you could tell Van Damme's 90s run was winding down. Still more watchable than his next one "Knock Off". And Double Team's Coca Cola Ending >>>>> World War Z's Pepsi Ending
No his career had turned into a frozen lake by the time this came out in 97.Timecop was his last hit in 94.Sudden Death bombed in 95 bcuz people had grown tired of those kind of movies.Even Steven Segal movies had cooler down with Out For Justice being his last big hit
You can still love bad things, just dont expect people to be nice about them. I love Howard the Duck regardless of all the hate it gets, but i cant honestly say its a good movie
The movie is ass. It's trash. Delightful trash. Nothing wrong with that. You can enjoy things that are objectively not good but are entertaining anyway.
My ending idea The baby cries Jack:what's wrong? Yaz: The baby is hungry Jack: but we have no formula? Yaz: but we have something even better Makes the baby drink a bottle of Coke
I thought it was quite good the first time I saw it in the cinemas as a kid. It was kinda like the basketballploitation period where you have Michael Jordan in Space Jam, Shaq in Kazaam, and Rodman in Double Team made sense that time.
Bro the laughter alone from all of you guys is why I can't stop watching your vids. And then nailing scenes I always died laughing too are icing on the cake.
I saw on Ebay an original 35 mm film print of this movie for this going for about $500. ? I was tempted to buy it, but I thought it would be a waste of money.
I saw this in theaters back in 97', and I remember being me and two other people. But regardless of the films stupidity, the action is awesome! And actually cut very exciting! The fights are well done as well. Van Damme was on the drugs during this film, Rourke was struggling to stay relevant, and Rodman was just a cheap gimmick to keep Van Damme's floundering career alive.
"I read that this was the first time coke was in a product placement" Martin obviously never watched Leonard part.6, good movie for a bad movie roast btw.
Probably around before then Because Clint Eastwood banned all coke products from his movies and movie sets when his son lost the karate kid role to Ralph macchio
This was made during a phase where Van Damme was bringing in the top Hong Kong filmmakers to make his movies..., the Hong Kong action approach is very jarring with a Hollywood budget but its entertaining nonetheless.
Double Team is weird to say the least. Van Damme and director Tsui Hark did another movie right after this called Knock Off in Hong Kong where he teams up with Rob Schneider (you can do it) of all people. Have y’all ever seen explosions with green flames? 🔥
This is one of those movies where it can be ridiculously stupid but at the same time, it's entertainingly hilarious.🤣 Especially with Mickey Rourke blowing up with the tiger.🤪🤟
This movie is definitely bad, but this was one of those movies I'd watch whenever it would pop up on HBO back in the late 90s when I wasn't playing videogames 🤣
I complete ly enjoy this movie even today. As cheesy this is !!! One of the best hand to hand combat scenes, plus the escape from the island and Van damne training himself to make it possible.
I was just watching this movie and I had to see if anyone had reviewed it in a funny way because I was laughing my ass off the whole movie. I was in stitches when Jean Claude was using a bucket of rocks to heal his leg. 😂😂😂
I remember sitting in the cinema to see this hot mess. The only reason I went to see this movie, I was a huge Jean Claude Goddamn fan 🤣🤣🤣🤣. Now I have my popcorn let the laughter comencé. Happy Veterans Day 🙏🏾💚🌺🤙🏾
@@lenindominguez1986 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 this movie was bad all around town. I have not seen this movie again since I saw it back in the day. I totally forgot Mickey Rourke was the bad guy shoots I totally forgot what this movie was about 🤣🤣🤣🤣.
I think they had 2 different screen plays that they combined into one. They had the island screenplay and probably couldn't find a way to make a 90 min movie with a beginning, middle and end with it and they had the generic secret agent vs super villain screenplay that was too boring. So they mixed them together then added Jean-Claude, a little Rodman and a dash of cocaine (or a lot of cocaine) and just like that, they had a 90's action movie.
I can't recall the name of the critic who said this movie is absolutely terrible but Dennis Rodmans lame basketball references make it even worse...HILARIOUS
@@lenindominguez1986 I just realized that JCVD was wearing chucks and Mickey Route was wearing those dress shoes. Error or not, the movie is still ridiculous.
That's standard in media for foreign people to have american like names which can happen but the got to reason for is so the normal audience won't have trouble pronouncing their names if they were from a foreign country which is why whenever there's an asian lead they have something simple like Lee or Jin
I remember watching this movie on Black Starz when I was a kid lol Either Black Starz or Encore Action. It was one of those damn channels. This and Simon Sez 🤣🤣
