This situational problem is analysis/ investigation of DRB USD using NSCP 2015; therefore compression and tension reinforcements are given. The general approach in calculating Mn that was discussed in the basic concepts was used in this problem.

Andali ko pong naintindihan. Napakalinaw ng mga concepts. I already watched all your lecture videos and sulit na sulit Sir. More example sana sir sa Design ng Doubly kasi analysis lang yung meron. Yung nagyield at hindi nagyield sana sir sa design ng doubly . Thank you!!!!!!

sir pwede ba icheck yan gamit nalang p act at pmax . Pmax NSCP 2015 yung may 3/7at 3/8 (tension controlled)?

0.004 and 0.005 rin ang gamit ko nung college. Actually marami ring usapan dyan kung ano ang gagamitin e. Sinunod ko na lang yung inistate mismo sa NSCP

Saan nakuha yung Beta1 =0.85 kapag F'c is less than or equal to 28 MPA

Sir tanong lang po, bat ginamit yung 0.004 na strain if wala namang Pu to compare sa 0.10f'cAg.thank you po.

Kung iintindihin natin yung sinabi sa structural code: Pu is the axial capacity of the member (beam) and if it is less than 0.10f'cAg, pwede natin sabihin na ina-analyze natin yung beam na mas maliit pa sa 10% ng axial force ng concrete yung expected na kaya nyang buhatin. And since walang sinabi sa problem na subjected ung beam natin sa axial force, na-satisfy na nya yung condition na yan. Kumbaga ang gusto sabihin ni NSCP, yan ang analysis sa beams na nineneglect na ang axial force. PS: The main and common purpose of beams is to carry flexural bending stress of a structure; and columns are to carry axial loads. Thank you for the question! :)

Bakit already givem na ang effective depth? Paano kapag hindi. Paano ba ang process?

Ang pwedeng mga ibigay sayo na given pag walang snabi na effective depth: total depth, steel cover, concrete cover, clear concrete, diameter of stirrups. Pag meron yan macocompute na eff depth

@@CivilEngineerMachan salamat po. Parang singly lang pala. Pag hindi naman uniform ang distribution ng bars? Like 1st layer is 4 and 2nd layer is 2. Then I'll use the Varignon's theorem centroid.
