Well he is right. Underage Smoking is a problem especially if cartoons for kids show smoking. Which explains why kids cartoons nowadays don't have smoking. To my knowledge.
man i miss robin he was so good it break my heart when i found out he died like god thats so sad the genie and fender from robots are my favorite charcters he voices
0:57 The fact that Pudgy the Parrot has a cigarette shoved into his mouth, is morally irresponsible. *THIS IS A CARTOON, OK? THIS IS NOT A FRIGGEN OPRAH WINFREY SPECIAL!* Lol
This is a cartoon, ok? This is not a friggin Oprah Winfrey special...that part makes me laugh...and I love Robin Williams...I will always miss him... great actor
@@bcrunch4232 Some 90's cartoons had smoking in em. But they were never trying to promote smoking. They were mostly like an anti smoking PSA at the time. Now and day cartoons banned smoking in their cartoons for good.
Always remember, if you hate your job and are seriously wanting to quit, before you do so, put in applications elsewhere so that way you can have another job (even if it’s just a temporary one) lined up before you quit the one you hate. That way you aren’t going days or even weeks without a paycheck, you don’t have to go through the hassle of filing for unemployment, and you can quit the job on your terms.
@@bcrunch4232 Yes that is a crucial factor. Although I would assume that in the movie, Miranda does very well financially, I’m not sure what her job title is but it seems she’s not hurting for cash. Maybe Daniel knows this and uses it as justification for hastily quitting his jobs, although that’s really not a good excuse
Terry McGovern Who played the ADR director Lou he was so heartbroken that he could miss Robin Williams so much and he was the voice of launchpad McQuack in the head Disney cartoon ducktales
Funny enough, this was actually based on the fact that many of the animators from Disney's Aladdin could not stand Robin Williams and his constant use of improvisation as it only made their jobs animating the movie much harder thanks to Williams's use of improvisation.
What's interesting is that when cartoons of yester-year depicted smoking, whether it was Disney or Looney Tunes, it was always in a negative light. Someone was always bothered by and choking on the smoke, whereas here, this cartoon is making it look positive.
The immortal words of the late Robin Williams essentially sums up my sentiments over the recent death of Rev. Louis P. Sheldon, the founder of the far-right Anaheim, CA-based Traditional Values Coalition and a staunch homophobe.
Let's ask the technicians. Do you think it's morally right to promote smoking to the youth of America? (Whistles) they're biased, that's a mistrial. I actually find it wrong that even child friendly cartoons to promote smoking to the youth of America, cuz as Robin Williams just said millions of kids see this cartoon it's like sending them all a packet of cigarettes and saying "light up!" DON'T PUDGY, DON'T SMOKE!
I think lou is confusing cartoons of the 90's for the 40's. If your gonna make cartoon characters smoke, You need to add some sort of positive message or PSA's about the dangers of smoking. But IMHO I think lou and daniel were both in the wrong. Lou doesn't want any positive anti smoking lines adlibbed in the script and Daniel just gives up a lucrative job that he needs to support his family.
