Look , if we have kept our eyes open , we would have seen this coming. It's happened many times before. Buster Douglas ? Mother dies. Gets knocked down and THEN KO's Mike Tyson ! Jordan Spieth ? His sister has Autism , goes on to win the Masters . Tom Brady ? Mom diagnosed with cancer . Goes on to win the Super Bowl. Loyola-Chicago ? They have a nun. She carries a rosary. She's in a wheelchair ! You can't compete with that. I have Loyola-Chicago by double digits in the Championship game.

Also shows you these "experts" are not at all. Gotlieb went to ND and was a good player but he has become one of these sports casters that makes statements to get his name out there more than being credible.

I hate how hard he comes at Cal. He gets to coach these guys for barely 2 semesters. They are basically high school seniors. They are playing against college teams with veteran players with more developed bodies. Kentucky is basically trying to win games that require execution with athletic ability and talent alone. These kids want to show out to receive attention from NBA scouts, but Cal gets them to play like a team in under 2 semesters worth of time without veterans. Coach Cal is amazing. 1 teams wins the National title every year; and that team is rarely the best team in basketball.

It was the Scottie Reynolds and Dante Cunningham team that went to the final four.... Also, the same number of future pros are on this team as the 2016 team. Both Brunsen and Bridges were on that team as well as Hart and Achidiacano (who are both pros).

Is it just me or do I think Colin and Doug are both better together? Like I obviously am subscribed and watched Colin’s stuff but sometimes he gets a little to crazy with the stuff he says. I just think if Colin had a co-host this show would be much better.

Nah, it is just that Doug is finally talking about a sport that he is an actual expert in. Colin doesn't talk crazy when he is talking to someone about a subject they know very well. Doug falls off when he speaks on other sports like an expert when he is only really an expert about college basketball.

Amazing how a guy who has never coached at collegiate level can dis on somebody like Calipari. The guy was one or two shots or free throws from going to the Elite Eight and possibly the Final Four with a team full of Freshmen. What a putz.

Villanova winning it all. But if Kansas wins then I think they'd beat Loyola or Michigan too. Basically winner of the nova and Kansas matchup will be the champion. Like Oregon vs UNC last year

I agree with your point but not with your comparison. Oregon UNC didn't decide the winner last year. Gonzaga almost beast UNC. They were up the whole game and they really controlled the pace. Its not like UNC blew out Zaga. Not even close, far from it.

NOVA recruiting is disadvantage cuz its small liberal school with program where expect them to be a team guy and stay Jr. Sr..

Know The Ledge What r u talking about? Why dont you look at players who NOVA recruited but went to Duke, UNC etc.. Few may select to come NOVA but most top players are not.. NOVA has disadvabtage.. Those big schools whoever become a coach, players still will come. NOVA need Jay Wright without him, they wont even consider top players radar.

Umm. The guys going to Duke and UK are one and dones. Those aren't the type.of players Villanova are recruiting. They will show interest but they won't give out the promises that a Duke or UK will. They are winning with the guys have brought in. So how is recruiting a weak point? The guys they have there can start on most if not all NCAA teams. Plus a National player of the year and a lottery pick. They're in the business not development. So how is recruiting a weak point?

NewYorkNYKer I'm not doubting the work Jay Wright has put in the Villanova program he is a legend there. However that can be said for many teams. Before coach cal name me the last top recruit Kentucky brought in? So that point ur making is weak.

Know The Ledge LoL Now NBA allowing only player after one yr in College.. So Kentucky really wasnt the same situaton they are in now and top high school prospects didnt really need to go to College. Weak? Coach Cal, Coach Pitino, Coach K, Calhoun, Beiheim all different selecting players and thoughts on early going NBA.. and those are old school type except one in UK and Zona now lol..

NewYorkNYKer but ur missing my point. Even with their history they couldn't bring top recruits until coach cal went there. The one and done rule was there before Coach Cal was at Kentucky. he did recruit Tyerke Evans and Derrick Rose to Memphis so many guys go to school with coaches.. please explain ur point.
