This is the exact liner, with the exact same mode of installation we got with our pool install in 2008, buried with 12" above ground, and have a 7' deep end. We did not do the slurry, nor the drainage - we simply filled the dirt back in. We also built a large deck completely around our pool 8' out. Our liner was just fine until we had grapefruit-sized hail in 2016. The replacement liner is now six years old and still doing fine.
Nope, not one single hole or over-stretched seam. Our first one (identical) was still excellent shape, though a bit faded, after eight years of full sun all day. Hail destroyed it in 2016 (grapefruit-sized hail). The replacement liner was done the exact same way and still no holes, rips or stressed seams. And we are still using the same exact pump (2-speed) on low and filter, which run 24/7/365 and have never had to change the zeolite sand in the filter.
Adam, that's what we thought 14 years ago with our first install. But looking at the folded portion some years later, there was no damage at all to the liner. It's 20 mil. Not sure about the lower-mil liners, but ours was 8 years old when we had to replace it because of hail and the foldover had no damage at all.

A beaded liner is only an option for non-expandable liner applications (no deep end). In this case, the pool has a deep end and it is using an expandable liner. That type of liner can only be installed in an overlap fashion.
You replace the liner. The thing is with doughboy liners you aren’t replacing them anytime soon your looking at 15-20yrs of life with a 25yr minimum warranty. So unless you poke a hole through it your good. And they have easy clip liners, this crew just did it differently
