Say what you want to say, Nana knows what's what. She walks in and starts barking orders, telling the kids to pick up after themselves and help with chores. She does more parenting in an afternoon than Lush does in days or weeks.

Dash says some of the rudest things ever. Alisha does nothing about any of it. Bodhi might have autism but that doesn’t give him the excuse of throwing temper tantrums and running wild. He needs to learn to deal with his disability. Alisha let’s him act however he wants. Let’s not forget Harlee. An I phone at 4 years old. I never even saw her open it. When I was 15-16, now 24, I wanted a huge full length mirror closet doors for Xmas. My family has always been well off, so my sister and I always got what we wanted. So, Christmas rolled around that year and I didn’t get the mirror doors. I got so many gifts, I think including a laptop that year, but I was livid pissed about not getting the closet doors. I had no clue they needed to be specially installed, measured properly, and probably cost so much money. I remember crying and being so mad at my parents - eventually getting yelled at to shut up about the doors and be thankful I got anything. Although I didn’t understand at the time, even when told to be grateful of the other gifts I received, it took me years to realize and learn this lesson. Today, I tell my family if they insist on getting me anything, get me a $10 Amazon gift card or just take me for McDonald’s one day. I tell my boyfriend he could get me a diamond necklace or a dollar cheeseburger and I would be no more excited for one than the other. Although I can say that, I genuinely mean that from the core of my soul. I’m blessed to have people who love me enough to take care of me, material gifts are a bonus. I will never forget this life lesson that humbled me so much. I feel guilty still for giving my parents such a hard time.

The most well mannered child in that household by far is Bree - they didn’t show it in this video but whenever I’ve seen her on a live unboxing or any of that type of thing she is always SO polite and gushes her thank yous. I can only presume this comes from her earlier life and not life with the DDs but it’s truly a pleasure to witness. Side note; I have nephews and nieces who, much like these kids, weren’t raised to use their manners, never instinctively said thanks for their gifts nor were prompted to etc - so I stopped giving to them. I was prepared to explain the reason if ever asked but they too receive so much shit they nobody ever noticed. Manners cost nothing and mean so much - I hate hate hate seeing kids acting ungrateful, just sets the tone for the kind of adults they will become and it’s so sad.

Agree! We stopped having birthday parties for our children when we were young! I HATED watching children rip open presents without a care and focus on how many presents they got and what so and so got them…. The materialism and disrespect for what they had and received made me feel sick… now they get a day off school for their birthday and they get an experience and dinner and get a couple of meaningful presents!

So true. I feel sick whenever I watch Josh watch these vids. Like, ill, looking at all the consumerism and waste in every video. It’s overwhelming to watch, I cannot imagine living it. I have a basement full of things, mostly family heirlooms, hard to get rid if but am sorting through…so when I shop now I think of that pile and “does this item have a place to go.” For birthday parties I ask first that parents just bring their child (guest) which they never come empty handed but I think it makes the gift pile smaller. I want my child to appreciate what they have.

Now, I am not an excellent homemaker by any means. I frequently have dishes just piled up in my kitchen sink and won't sweep for days. But I consider my home somewhat clean. My MIL (who we lived with for about 3 months) has 3 kids and several animals. Her home always smells like pee, floors are dirty no matter how many times she mops or sweeps, and everything is just a bacterial breeding ground. She told me one day she just stopped worrying about cleaning. Like she literally gave up and only would do the bare minimum. She spends most of her time outside never doing housework. Her home always has roaches and mice. She just moved into a new home a few months ago and this new home has the same infestation as the last one. It literally drove me nuts to live in a grimey home for 3 months. I know she was helping us out while we found a house but my husband and I were literally relieved when we closed on our house. I say all this to say. There is no way 14 people live in that small house and the dirt isn't piling up. We only ever see Lush clean in the kitchen or do laundry. Maybe wipe down a table for a party. No way she has time to clean and I highly doubt she hires someone. And Josh isn't helping her. Maybe Alex or James are, but it's not the older kid's job to pick up after their younger siblings.

I Agree. Also she rarely buys cleaning supplies. She did in the latest shopping video but it wasn’t much. It’s just my hubby and myself now and I use more cleaning supplies than she does. No way even vinegar used as a homemade cleaner as she has never purchased it on a shopping haul. The place has to be grimy. I said as much in one of her videos a few months ago and the next day she bought toilet bowl cleaner lol. I try not to give her engagement but I was early on the blog and curious to see if she read the comment.

At her daughter's birthday party her daughter went up to one of the kids there and told them they needed to shut the f up before she beat their a**. The little girl is only 3 years old. Hardly knows ABC's but can cuss like a sailor. All of the adults (except me) laughed like it was so funny and it solidified to me that my child will not be hanging out with her kid. I don't cuss and definitely don't cuss at my kid. It made me so mad that none of the parents corrected their child's behavior. Just laughed so she'd keep being disrespectful.

There’s so many things that I see that these kids, especially the older ones they don’t know how to do. I didn’t realize how my kids are like the complete opposite because in my mind in parenting them for the last almost 20 years that just goes without saying you teach your kids certain things They also learned by your example they pick up these things kids are smart and I see Alicia’s kids and it’s like they’re all stunted. They’re all emotional toddlers because that’s how they get treated. That’s all they’ve been taught. And experiences and independencies that they don’t have they’re not competent in or capable of doing so many simple every day tasks that even my younger children do completely unprompted. It’s really appalling the more I see the more shocking it is.
