Hey BWB, since Thanksgiving is about a banquet of food, make either one of these banquets for Thanksgiving: 1. Peanuts- the banquet from A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving: white popcorn, buttered toasts, jelly beans, pretzel sticks, ice cream sundae, pumpkin pie, & turkey 2. Shrek 2- the dinner banquet when Shrek, Fiona, Donkey, Harold, & Lillian were having: turkey, lobster, fondue, ham, grey fish, banana, crackers, walnuts, & pig roast 3. I would've joined in and made sour cream donuts, but I forgot to round out my ingredient list and was part way into some alcohol when I remembered the stream. And the A5 don, to me stands out because out not because of the dish, but more how instrumental that episode is in establishing the tone for Soma's food wars (shokugeki). It's his first one at school and sets the ground for his relationship/friendship with Ikumi Mito, with her joining the Don RS and reviving the club over the course of the show as a result.

I noticed that the dough was really sticky when I followed the ingredients as well, I had to compensate with A LOT of flour. Either there was too much milk in the ingredient list or too little flour. The amount of milk did look like a lot more than what you had in the first video, so that might be the error.

If you ever forget the piping tip for something like jelly,, i.e. non-decorative piping (or you don't have it): just sellotape the piping edge to stabilize it.

Expand it out to the varieties of dumpling, and it's worldwide. Perogi, pot stickers (jiaozi), mandu, gyoza, etc. Sorry everybody for just knowing Perogi and the more popular Asian dumplings, but I'm sure there's more out there (although that could grow to be a rather large episode, especially if you do a different sauce for each one).

You did nothing wrong with the first donut dough. Donuts are supposed to be naturally very soft and supple..very tacky to the touch. You don't add extra flour. You add a little sprinkling of flour, and then you take the really tacky dough and knead it for 10 minutes or so and it will become soft and bouncy and not sticky. I really hope you didn't mess up those donuts by adding extra flour because donuts are light and airy and they are supposed to have a very "fluffy" dough texture. now I'm not classically trained like you, but I love cooking just like you and I'm a little more well-versed on the dessert end of things than the savory end.
