Something tells me you don’t actually want kids to grow up to be active members of society who are willing to make their voices heard. No I think you just want your kids to be compliant and grow up to be compliant adults so you people and hog all the power in this country. Seems pretty selfish if you ask me.
It’s not about the dress code it’s about the fact teachers say their outfit attract boys and that’s disrespectful saying that making that look like the girls wanna be luring men
Ok. I understand the frustration. Especially with the weather. Thankfully I never had that problem in high school. The weather didn't get too hot until after school let out in my area. My only issue I had was back in my junior year we had to wear shirts with collars. That got changed when parents complained about red marks on the back of students necks. Turned out those students had skin sensitivities and the dress code for collared shirts became a health risk. But yeah I think the dress code should make exceptions or not based on weather not sexuality. They also need to be less strict with girls. Heck if they knew how native American women handled the summer heat the school would be appalled. In short schools just be glad girls are wearing tops at all and BACK OFF!!!!
They're going to end up giving boys and girls uniforms. School is not a fashion show they're going to school to learn. In many countries China, Japan, UK, Mexico, South Korea, India, and Russia they already use uniforms. Uniforms help lower income kids not feel poor and promotes less bullying since everyone is equally dressed at school. In other countries this also promotes safety as k-12 students are easily spotted amongst a crowd and if ever kidnapped they're easier to identify. Private schools in America even use uniforms. Uniforms should be used and made more common as schools are learning institutions not fashion shows to show off vanity and name brands.
WRONG it’s called Individuality and Self-expression. One of the main arguments against wearing school uniforms is that students will lose their identity, individualism, and self-expression if they are made to wear the same clothes as everyone else. If this happens, then everyone will end up looking the same. They come up with their own style which have their own personal touch based on their taste and preferences. Some like to wear pants while others might prefer skirts and so on and so forth. It is through clothing that people are able to show who they are while also being able to showcase and display their creativity and how they are their own unique person.
Young girls you have to understand that the clothes that is being designed more now is even for young girls and always has been to mimic grown women. I don't like the way that their dressing young girls nowadays and I'm a female myself but I think it's best to cover up always really have
That’s YOUR choice for YOUR body. These girls are just wanting a fair and reasonable dress code that isn’t sexualizing skin that doesn’t even show anything. It’s so silly. Who defines what is “too tight” or “disruptive and distracting”. Those are subjective terms. People want to make comments like this but then freak out if a school tells kids they gotta wear a mask 🙄
Exactly. When I go into a clothing store every item is either a crop top, short skirt, revealing top, tight clothing. And it’s always for TEENS. It makes no sense.
And I'm just thinking back to the girl at my high school who had to transfer to DA because of her... um... less than pristine rep. Because of course DA would protest a dress code in the middle of a pandemic when millions of girls just lost their rights to education in Afghanistan and half the planet is on fire. Priorities.
You can’t just transfer to DA. It’s an audition only school, and auditions are only held for entry at the beginning of the school year. It’s a prestigious school and not somewhere you send kids because they have bad reputations. It’s actually academically rigorous and the kids work extremely hard in their arts areas.
What can these kids do about those issues right now? They are trying to effect change in their worlds on their levels which is vital to them learning how to solve the bigger problems as adults.
@@iluvzchocolate1 what problem? That they need to dress correctly inside a building that they don't own but the staff does(technically). If someone makes rules for their home or establishment you follow them
