Matt my good friend, great catch, always wanted to fly one, never did. Had a friend who flew one for an air cargo company out of Hogan airfield in Hamilton, Ohio. He said they were very reliable, but the controls were very tight & stiff including rudder pedals.

Never a more beautiful bird... (well, I'd allow arguments for the Constellation) Years ago, I booked a trip from Boston to Nantucket on Provincetown Boston Airlines (PBA) and at the time they flew a couple of DC-3's including one with the record for the most flight hours for a plane still in commercial service. Three of the four legs of that trip were on DC-3's and I was over the moon!!! (You know you're an aviation nerd when the plane you flew on was as exciting as the weekend on the beach)
