Terry loved cali - the intersectionality crowd run absolutely nothing at all. Not if you continue to not understand them, which is the correct response. You see, you and I run things unless we give up and pretend we don't have the power of reason.
I am a Black American man (there's a reason why I declare so), and I'm floored by this video and another I've just watched on London Real. I'll come away with much to think about. Thank you for such a provocative treatment of the topic. The passage about Kanye West's "black card" being revoked caught me. At the time I hadn't thought much of it. Now I've got to rethink things.
Istvan Creghi I’m a white European woman who loves Candace Owens , It’s not about colour , it’s about those of us who can see through the bullshit and how we are being manipulated
@@tillyt4054 I DON'T love Candace Owens though. I sense she's a political opportunist much like Dave Rubin. I can tell because they seek "allies" to bolster their positions, but they're not running for any political office (Kanye West?). And from what I've heard, their opinions sound too absolute in a world of nuance, which screams "agenda!". Personally, I don't think I'm being manipulated. There's a mountain of misinformation designed to do so, but I'm just open to new information that sounds and feels logical.
That red Chinese dress was gorgeous and she had every right to wear it if she wanted to. It was the envious, jealous, mean girls who tried to embarrass and harass her. Those bullies make me sick.
Agreed, she looked stunning in it. Aside from that, she should have been acknowledged for the modesty of the dress . These days , the prom dresses lack modesty so this should be shown as a good role model for choosing properly when shopping .
Is the same said when the Chinese wear American blue jeans? Give us all a break! I thought globalism is the goal for all these leftists. So that does not include clothing choices?
Susan Tulley I guess it's something about the fact the dresses are so deeply embedded in Chinese tradition. That said, I have no idea why the should disallow someone to appreciate their beauty and wear them. Nothing disrespectful about using one. If leftists want to apply the logic that no one is entitled to another culture, then I don't see how they can be so obsessed with uncontrolled immigration.
@@susantulleynehus5054 I remember when that was going on. What makes it even worse is Chinese people weren't even the ones complaining. There were 1 or 2 Asian complains, but most actual Chinese people loved it and some were actually telling her how she good she looked in it, and how they were glad she liked it. I think most of the people complaining were just professional members of the PC brigade.
The courage to speak out against what? Douglas Murray opposes all progress made in the last 50 years. Wakeup. He is a racist, sexist, lgbt hating, climate change denying bigot.
Just as well that he knows the greater limits that being gay, and having a good education lets him go because he is pointing at the root causes of societal mistakes.
@@MikeNewland You're acting as a prime example of the division and more extreme positions he's saying we should avoid. He's nothing like Farage. Farage is devoid some basic morality and is prepared to lie to achieve whatever his goal is. His behaviour is at times disgusting.
Douglas Murray' rationalism is exactly what we need in this confused hysterical time. His last two books are absolute gems, and if our "leaders" and the brainwashed public would make the effort to listen to his message, we just might find our way out of this house of mirrors we have created.
19:29 I am watching this in June 2020, with all the protests raging around the world for the killing of George Floyd. This is exactly the reason why we SHOULD NOT be tearing down statues, monuments and burning books. We need history to remind us of the mistakes we have already made so they are not repeated.
There are plenty of Lenin and Stalin statues throughout Eastern Europe today, and will stand for a long time. And if you seriously have the nerve to compare Colston and Roosevelt and others to these vicious mass murderers and villains, that shows your ignorance. And no - statues should not be torn down by the mob. This demonstrates the radicals’ ignorance of history, their entitlement, and their inability to hold a civil discussion.
Full credit to this interviewer who is way ahead of his generation. He asked intelligent questions, waited patiently for the full answers and sincerely thanked his guest at the end. Take a bow and I hope the rest of the world learns a valuable lesson from your example. Well done!
I agree in that I'm no fan of overly emotional and confrontational interviews, but it's also weak interviewing to allow a guest to express their views unchallenged. This comes across like a paid book promo rather than an interview. From the off he says things that are simply untrue such as claiming equality has been achieved, the interviewer should have brought up the evidence of institutional racism and the gender paygap surely. By allowing Murray to go unchallenged throughout the entire interview passively validates everything he is saying which isn't an impartial and unbiased interview.
@chrisb8932 I've looked into it and it still exists, I'm also aware of those like Murray who twist and misrepresent the stats and figures to suggest otherwise.

this guy has got such a tremendous insight into difficult and often undiscussed issues of today and probably nobody can communicate it as clearly as him...amazing
Douglas Murray is a brilliant man and he’s nailed it by saying that they can’t have the issues both ways. Equal is equal not superior. (I’m always grateful of all the interviews Douglas Murray does and I’ll never tire of listening to them!)
I don't really see too much evidence that claims of superiority are being made, I think the real problem is when claims of "privilege" are made to justify active discrimination in favor of those who claim they are seeking "equality" -- affirmative action, safe spaces, quotas, etc., -- these are not the tools of those who feel superior but of those who seek to drag the other guy down. This is not advancing society but is allowing the bottom-feeders to reduce us all to the lowest common denominator. It will be the end of us, if allowed to continue. As Douglas Murray put it, these activist minorities are making war on those very people and institutions who have extended the respect and opportunity of equality to them. This will only be tolerated for so long...
@@googsey101 I don't see too much evidence of it either. He could not have chosen a woman to quote who represents the common woman any less than this big banker of bankers weilding her cutesy Lehman Sisters quip!

My god. I have been thinking many of these things for the last couple of years, and now I hear it said, verbatim. Such a refreshing, enlightening moment to hear someone articulating it so well. Thank you Mr Murray, you are a voice that must be heard.
@Isa They're both useful. We need as many people as possible speaking common sense. I don't get why we have to like one or the other. Peterson and Murray have done talks together and have tremendous respect for each other.
He is, as they say in horse racing, hitting his stride, warming up. He's right when he says that we need people like him to bulldoze the way so that others may discuss these important issues. I feel like it is very dangerous to keep stuffing people's emotions down by silencing them. Best wishes.
@Isa Neither Murray nor Peterson has said any of those things. Stop with your simplistic holier-than-thou condemnations. To anybody who has lived an adult life and kept their eyes open, it's obvious that there are women who exploit men as well as men who exploit women. You sound like some sheltered, babyish SJW who sees everything in neat little bumper stickers. "Men oppress women!" "Whites oppress POC" Grow up and realize the world is more complicated that your stupid theories.
I like Douglas Murray because he says it is how it is doesn’t care if he gets called racist like politicians who don’t want to give themselves a bad name
Possibly the most succinct and objective way I’ve ever heard these issues communicated. This stuff should be taught in school and taught precisely this way
I have read The Madness of Crowds. Thank you for putting what so much of us are thinking very eloquently into words. What a weird comment. Why would you being straight make any difference? Are straight people not normally allowed to agree with gay people? You either agree with someone or you don't. Your sexuality has nothing to do with it.
A sign of the times, your sexuality, skin colour, nationality or hair colour should have nothing to do with your opinion on Douglas. The lefts grip on people is unreal
@clips & commentary I thought the last of you lot got intellectually killed off by Sargon of Akkad back in like 2016? "Ethno States in Space" was the last thing the rest of us ever heard of you
Yeah. I had to check the timestamp to see if this was posted this week. But no. It was last year. Douglas was right about that and no doubt more to come.
@passius1 There's no right to do this. Violence to resolve a violent process does not make any sense. Someone hurts/kill you today and you think it's cool to fight back 500 years later? I ask America's minorities (that i'm part of, oh no, i just realized that white gays are just straight and very privileged, homophobia inst a topic in the pride mounth) if they will turn against the statue of liberty in the name of the absurdities that the USA cause in the world, as much as it is not as white as the US, somehow the other minorities only have the lifestyle they have as a result of this exploitation and they benefit from it. If the situation is sad only when it happens to you, we are facing a demagogy.
passius1 if minorities start a ideia of revenge, cuz now we can fight back this is gonna be the war, we gonna fight to find the stronger (?) Doesn’t it make any sense. I’m gay and I do not support this ideia, and yes, gay people wasn’t treat like King’s in the past. The major problem it’s to think that some groups can be superior than others, and in the quotidian the minorities start to think like this “ we are superior of or the rest” and the problem is, all of them think like this, it’s everybody against everybody.
Joe Maguire and u gonna responding saying the same thing ? Oh gosh, it’s seems just like a children’s quarrel. In nowadays we are betting on a very curious situation “we need is in places of power ( which we ourselves recognise as oppressors) because in that way our demands will be heard, in saying this we agree that there’s no objective judgment so the problem is not the monsters, but the fact that we are not the ones who frighten. This is not human rights, this is demagogy.
Michael Harold Douglas is courageous because he voices his opinion and you can’t or won’t? Courageous opinions. Hmmmm. Another term defining true capitalism is savings, willingness to put your savings at risk in a free marketplace to acquire more savings. The problem we have now is that people equate the intersection of government granted money and privilege to capitalism.
Every Douglas Murray interview is different, not in the sense of changing ideas, but that he always brings up different illustrations, clarifies connections.
While I've always disagreed with "conversion therapy", I think pushing young people into "gender changing" drugs and surgery is far more dangerous. Someone can walk away from conversion therapy and while maybe mentally traumatized by it can still recover from it, whereas the drugs and surgery can have long term permanent physical effects and you can't just "detransition" from (sterility, increased cancer risks, liver risks, etc). I wonder how the medical profession reconciles that with "do no harm"?
I foresee a ton of lawsuits years from now when people who have had hormones pumped into them from childhood onward suffer the effects. The same people who rail against hormones and chemicals in food and won't eat anything that isn't "organic" somehow think it's safe to chemically sterilize people?
