Sometimes you just want to play a Compton! This piece is one of my earliest memories of hearing a theatre organ. I recall as a teenager hearing a recording of Sandy MacPherson on the BBC Theatre Organ playing this piece - "Down The Mall" - the 1937 march by John Belton. It brings back memories of the glory days of these instruments.
Its a great piece which evokes all the Royal pomp and ceremony seen on this famous London thoroughfare leading up to Buckingham Palace.
Here played on the Wyton House 4/16 sample set from Melotone Sound Production for Hauptwerk.
