Hey not sure if you still pay attention to these but I have gigabit internet and I was wondering how you get the speeds so high on your PS4? I have a PS4 Pro and the most I get is about 200-250 down. Thanks in advance!
I had that dial up till 2008 when 0.5 MB was finally offered in my area! Stayed on that shit till 2015 when 4 MB was offered and what I am now using...
So with 10x the speed the download time was about 3.07x faster, pretty impressive. Might not seem like it at first glance but 1 gig is meant for multiple devices at once, and the console won’t be able to take advantage of all the bandwidth at once anyways due to hardware limitations, even if it’s directly connected to the modem. So while the download is 3x faster, it leaves a lot of headroom to perform other tasks without them being negatively impacted (to a large degree) by the download
Used to get 15Mbps or so but it's gone down to about 5Mbps or even into the Kbps, but getting spectrum self installation kit and going to 100 Mbps. Lets hope it works.
Just got my own 100 mbps plan from AT&T for $30/ month and honestly I can’t wait till they come set it up because multiple people watch Netflix 24/7 in my house I can’t take the lag no more 😂
i have 50 mbps net should i go for 100 mbps there is also 200 mbps but it's little but to much i don't have enough to pay every mounth so 100 mbps will be good even for streaming?
How are you getting the hardwire to fast.. The max in getting is like 380mb and when I did a speed test on my phone over WiFi I'm getting like 450mb.. Is there any settings that needs to be changed??
I have 100 Mbps a update just came out for apex......when I run a stat test it tells me I have over 100 download..........but if I look at run the game is downloading.....it bounces around from only 5 to 15 mbps........whats the deal
ninochargers92 as you saw with the ps4 speed test the upload speed was slow at only 200 because ps4 does that cause the ps4 servers can’t handle 1 gb you know
ninochargers92 atnt comes with their own modem router for free so if you using atnt you might as well just do that. If you’re using something like Xfinity (which I’m switching to), a router is worth it
Hi I recently upgraded to a gig plan (900down and 40up) but when I test the speed on my ps4 only goes up to 100mbps-130mbps download and 2mbps upload i also upgraded my modem (netgear cm 1000v2) and router (netgear xr500) I did all my settings on the netgear i also changed my DNS the right way (getting better connections from my laptop with LAN I used the dns benchmark) I know we can't get the full download and upload speed but I thought I would be getting a bit better speeds more like around 300-500mbps download and 20-30mbps upload because I'm technically getting the same speed from my last speed plan (400mbps download and 20mbps upload) does anyone know whats going on?
How do I get 100 or 1000 Mbps cuz I don't understand the concept. Do I have to go to an internet service provider or do I just buy a router that has these speeds? If I buy a router that has 300 Mbps, is this the only thing that I need to buy to have internet or do I have to buy something else? I'm sorry I'm really dumb and new to the internet thingy. I'm 12 and I get frustrated to my ping when I play csgo.
It's 1 gigabit per second. Gigabit and gigabyte aren't the same thing. 1 gigabyte would be 8 times faster than 1 gigabit. That's why it took almost 8 minutes to download and not 20 seconds.
Can you please explain to me why if a person has 400mbs download the PS4 will only show roughly 200mbs downloading. But in reality it’s downloading at around 10mbs. Like with yours. You have 1000mbs. The PS4 or Xbox would display “200mbs” but in reality the game is actually only downloading at around 20mbs. If it was 1000 or even 200mbs the game would download in a minute or less. Thanks! Amazing videos.
Jorge I understand that most servers will not be able to push that out. I just don’t get why neither the Xbox or PS4 display even remotely close MB/S download speeds. I would rather it just show how much the game is actually downloading at instead of my overall speed.
Depends on the modem honestly if you have a modem that can only handle 100mbps an you get 1000mbps its still gonna work but not be as fast unless you get a upgraded modem that can handle that output
I have a 940mbps 2G and 5G on Spectrum. I am paying $129.99/month. I paid a $250 subscription fee 1 time payment. It was very fast. The whole family can use it.
The speeds you're downloading :- 1000Mbps speed = 49MBps 100Mbps speed = 16MBps You should get 125MBps for your 1Gbps internet and 12.5MBps for your 100Mbps internet but, you're getting less than half with 1Gbps and more than what you should get with your 100Mbps. Why did it happen?
Is it true that the router that at&t gives you can't handle 1000 mbps and you have to get your own? Im getting the at&t fiber 1000 mbps thing on Thursday and I want to be prepared.
How do you get 1000 or like 800-900 download speed? I have cox 1GB or 1000mbps for download speed and 30 up. But I only get like 200-300 download speed and 8-9 upload. Any help would be appreciated
Could be the modem. Most internet providers recycle there modems so just cuz you got it doesn't mean its new. Or it could be bad wiring or the modem you have needs to be upgraded
