Shame you didn't have Sonic Mania installed but still THANKS for being the only one to show these rereleased retro games being able to be displayed properly. Everyone else is trying to play stuff that doesn't make any sense on a CRT.
Is there a way to toggle between downscaling and no scaling with this device? Some games I would like to play at 240p while others I would like to play at the highest supported resolution.
Yes, you would have to set a preset in the menus and adjust your desired resolutions accordingly. I believe there's a pass through option as well, but I haven't tested it out.
I'm trying to get my smartphone (outputting 1080p via HDMI) connected to a consumer CRT with component inputs. Would this device help with that? I've got a VGA-to-YPbPr transcoder if that helps.
Yeah I have. Instead of setting the output resolution at 720x240, you simply set it at 1280x720 or whatever desired resolution you want. Looks just as good as you'd expect.
@@Ex_Savior Hi guys, I have myself a 2255, I just can't find a way to display e.g. Megaman 9 or 10 properly from the 480p of my xbox360 to the 240p though the corio on a pvm. The pixels are not aligned correctly, no matter what I tried to do to improve the situation with the corio. It's easy to see that with the energy bar on megaman, on the texts and on megaman itself. Very annoying. I have the same problem you have over the texts on top on Shovel knight or all over the texts at 19:07 in your video (see the top parts of clear and Xavier, or the bottom of circles just under, two lines on the bottom, only one on the top, there is a problem. Do you manage to fix that with the Corio since you made the video ? I noticed that the more the game is simple looking the more that problem is obvious, mainly on the texts but not only. I Have no alignement problem on my 360 using 480i scart output, so I thought going 240p will be easy and quite perfect with the Corio, I was wrong. But may be settings can fix that.
