i as a teenager hooked up the 32X to my brothers JVC X-EYE with absolutely no issues it was smooth and looked the best to display, door was trapped but i had only cartridge games worked first try 0 mods i did it in 1995
This made me lose faith in LED TV every LED TV models to my eye are all trash. Sony perfect the picture quality on Sony WEGA in 1998 and in 2024 All Mini-LED TV don’t look quarter as good as the Sony WEGA. I hope LED TV go extinct soon they are too crap. 4K mean nothing if black level is horrible along with blurry motions. My Toshiba CRT TV performed 100x better than Hisense U9G
Hey! Thanks for the tutorial, unfortunately i have an issue, i dont know if its memory card related, will try with others when i can, but unfortunately i just get the free mc boot logo then black screen/no signal, any ideas?
I just purchased a monitor like this. It's going to arrive in the mail tomorrow, so I'm watching your video to reduce or increase the level of anxiety,
@tvdetubo240p, IMO, if you could only own one CRT, this is the one. Multiformat, high TVLs, nice design aesthetics, good screen size, easily moveable by one person, less finicky than a BVM...it's easy to gush over. Enjoy it man!
EN EL CASO DEL VIDEO, EL PROBLEMA DE MI PSX ES QUE CUANDO LLEGA AL MENU, SOLO SE MUEVE LAS OPCIONES POR SEGUNDOS Y LUEGO SE PARALIZA, Y YA NO SE PUEDE HACER NADA MAS :(
I have the 34" version of this set. Bought it used in 2008, absolutely blew me away. Still the best TV I've ever owned, and that includes several Sony LCD LED sets
What are the advantages of this chip over the Pseudo-Saturn KAI cartridge? btw someday I tried to install a similar modchip on my Sega Saturn (a regular Japanese model with round buttons), but for some reason it only worked when the console case was removed)) and so I decided not to waste time setting up the modchip and bought Pseudo-Saturn KAI. this cartridge solves three problems at once: regional protection, playing with blanks and saving
Can't the ps3 output 480i anyways? Also in the video when you talk about stretching the image, did you mean you weren't able to stretch the picture wide enough?
I believe it's because the anti flicker controls on the VSC700 make for a better picture for when you then use the RGB 203's DDSP mode to get 240p. So you could skip the VSC700 but it's nicer with its flicker controls
Thanks!! A question, the problem is the same if you disconected the audio jack? For example, you have the megadrive cd without the power cable and the audio Jack IS unplugged, but the megadrive and mega cd is connected by the slot, is the same problem?
Maybe a bit late, but couldn't you use the freemcboot tool... how it was called? there's one that allows to enforce certain outputs, to enforce 480p and use this instead of HDMI mods or adapters?
well on my HDTV a RGB Scart cable will not output over 576i nor will it work with progressive scan what am i supposed to do? Do i need to somehow get my tv to work with RGsB
Thank you for this! I need to replace the disc id laser (recording laser) and before I do that I want to clean them to make sure its just not a dirty laser and was trying to figure out where the screws were in the DVD drive to carefully remove it
Shame you didn't have Sonic Mania installed but still THANKS for being the only one to show these rereleased retro games being able to be displayed properly. Everyone else is trying to play stuff that doesn't make any sense on a CRT.
Another thing to keep in mind is on the bottom where it says SCEA, that's the consoles home region. My Net Yaroze is from Japan and when I put in a Japanese game, it says SCEI on the bottom since that's the default. Because when I put in a US game, it doesn't say SCEA on the bottom because its not the default region.
Hey more content of the Navi Hi saturn! Love your monitor btw. Is it a 20F1E? I think I recently saw one you put up in a listing. Also wow Mega man 8 looks incredible!
Wondermega loose sell for $1000~$1500, I would *NOT* do any kind of physical mod of it's casing at all! Good news is Krikzz is developing a Mega Everdrive Pro *2* that supports running 32X roms and Sega CD Iso along with genesis and Megadrive roms as an all in one solution. so a 32X unit would not be needed as that would be handled by the FPGA chip(s) and software hard coding in the new Mega Everdrive Pro 2"
I always have think that sony and other companies should release the source code for olds devices that they no longer support. This would alow to restore a lot of psx for example.
Hi can you help? I have a wondermega that cannot power on its mega cd half. It also is not outputting sound. Can you point me in the direction of where a fuse may be located on the mega cd half?
!00% understand how you feel. I can tell how much these things mean to you. And its tough to see the stuff we cherish tarnished, but its bound to happen here and there as time goes by. but as you've learned and said its not the end of the world, and you still have the console and can enjoy it. That aside... the guy did an impressive job and its great that he repaired + compensated with some nice monitors.
Maybe 🤔 Compatibility: If your PlayStation number starts with 7, example: 70008 then any version of FMCB is suitable for your ps2 If the console number starts with 9, example: 90008, then opentuna and funtuna are suitable for your ps2. If your console is the Fat version (retractable drive), then only FMCB 1.966 and similar numbered versions are suitable for you.
Huh, Quackshot does it too! Streets of Rage/Bare Knuckle 1 also uses the Japanese/international region jumper on the motherboard for auto-adaptation rather than region-locking! I think the strangest example is Puyo Puyo 1...for the _Game Gear!_ Bet you didn't know those things even _had_ a way to identify the system's region! On an international Game Gear, Puyo Puyo 1 will call itself "Puzlow Kids" and be in English! What makes this especially fascinating is that we didn't get a localized Puyo Puyo 1 besides Mean Bean Machine, and also what little dialogue was left inside the Game Gear version matched the equivalents in the English arcade version of the game - the first sign that the latter was not just some bootleg!
Cool videos man. I am looking at an ebay listing for one of these cib w freemcboot and english menu… i would def need a matrix mod chip installed right? Where can I find one today? Can you link me to one? Thanks.
