Im an ex carnivore. I was on the diet for half a year. The reason i stopped the diet was chronic fatigue, hypothyroid symptoms, cold hands snd feet, chronic stress, panic attacks, muscle loss and harder time losing weight
I would love to not be on a carnivore diet, but the its cured my autoimmune diseases, allowing me to enjoy life for the first time in 19 years. I've been feeling incredible and motivated 24/7. I'm only missing a few food I used to enjoy and eating carbs for a bigger pump in the gym.
While you're on it take a look at Frank Tufano's experience on carnivore so you can prevent what happened to him after going carnivore for 8 years. The problem with carnivore is that it's another dogma and it won't fix everything for everyone and it will cause problems for some, we need to be more free in our thinking about how we approach diets and if something doesn't work adapt.
I have celiac disease, but I would never cut out carbs completely. I can’t eat gluten and I choose to not eat refined carbs. Your body reacts negatively to a low any macro diet because it’s not natural and your body needs every macro to function properly. My carb choices are low glycemic types of rice, boiled sweet potato, and Quinoa. I’d be very shocked if anyone couldn’t tolerate those. They are gluten free complex carbs and don’t spike insulin.
@@philmcrackinnow I have said this before- but I truly feel that colon cancer is NOT silent at all! Our bodies are warning us up to that point in stages when people eat plant based foods, processed or whole (raw or cooked) - doesn’t matter which type you digest- does the same to your colon! These are stages that our colon warns us that we are damaging it before we hit colon cancer: Stage 1: IBS symptoms- (Cramping, gas, bloating, constipation, diarrhea, extended bellies!) Stage 2 if you ignore stage one: Diverticulitis, diverticulosis, crones, celiac, ulcers, polyps, leaky gut, lactose, and so on. Stage 3: colon cancer! We need to be listening to our bodies! Doctors say it’s normal to have IBS- but NO it is not! It’s not normal at all- it is a warning that if we ignore, our guts will get damaged over time! There is no silence with colon cancer- your body has done so much to warn you but you just didn’t listen! Remove plants from your diet and go the human ancestral way of eating- the carnivore lifestyle! It is not a fad- it’s is the human way of eating! To watch Dr. Chaffee and Dr. Sally Norton on plant toxins. Then go watch Dr. Sean O’Mara on visceral fat from plant based foods and muscle health. Go watch Dr. Baker on people healing from carnivore, even celiac! Go watch Dr. Baker on Mondays 7pm CST for his live Q&A sessions. You can get all you need from meet! Any diet that includes plant based foods is not good for the human body! Go look at the data on people getting sick that eat 85-90% plant based using the scam food pyramid! All illnesses, diseases, and cancers continue to rise and during that time plant based foods rise and meat sales decreased!! Your articles and studies you mentioned are paid off or funded by big pharma and big plant food industry as well! They want people to get sick! Your celiec is still there on plant based foods and you probably have more health issues connected because your gut is saying “no more plant based foods please!” I have people in my family with celiac, and they too have other issues as well! I plan to stay carnivore because I don’t want to develop celiac! That is brought on by plant based toxic foods.
Since we are talking about people curing things with carnivore diet- here is my story! So everyone knows I am 46, turn 47 soon- but look like I am in my early 30’s. I am now 122lbs and 5’7”. I have done a zero carb carnivore diet for 9 months now. Before I was saved by the carnivore diet I was 165lbs (weight would continue to creep up since I was 40 years old.) And I had so many other issues that are now cured. One was i had fibrocystic issues before carnivore. It built up over a six year period of western / SAD diet. Doctors said it was normal, nothing we can do. “Part of aging and now normal.” Nope! Then I tried the Mediterranean scam grain diet for 6 months- made things worse and even put me into peri menopause and many other issues like cysts that got to be quarter size round, so painful! Fibrocystic masses too were big! I was fed up and decided to go dig and dig to see if anything would reverse this! Found Dr. Baker, Dr. Berry, and Dr. Chaffee with carnivore diet! Then found out cruciferous veggies can ruin your thyroid and prevent natural absorption of iodine found in foods! I had eaten lean skinless chicken breast (a half of one maybe once a day), rices, and broccoli for 6 years- age 40-46 and daily! I want ladies to know they need to avoid cruciferous vegetables like broccoli, cabbage, Brussel sprouts, asparagus, and cauliflower to prevent fibrocystic breasts- but plants in general cause it! Your body needs iodine for your lady organs and all other organs, but especially your thyroid! They really mess up the thyroid which messes up your hormones and causes all other issues! One big domino affect! I ask people to go watch Dr. Chaffee with Dr. Sally Norton on plant toxins! Fibrocystic breast issues are now what doctors have settled as “normal!” I truly feel it is considered an auto immune issue / plant toxic illness of inflammation that can be reversed with carnivore! If you look the rates of fibrocystic illnesses is drastically increasing- including breast cancer- and it’s posted on line that nobody knows what causes those! They tell people not to eat saturated fats! I eat fatty meats of beef and eggs- and 8 months on carnivore no more cysts and i have only one smaller fibrocystic mass left that is super small- continues to shrink- not the large mass it once was- shrinking drastically on carnivore diet! Carnivore diet cured so much for me! * No more perimenopause- completely reversed! *Period cycles all timed perfect with 4 week intervals. And no PMS symptoms, but only the actual menstrual cycle itself! *No more night sweats *No more waking every 2 hours at night! *It used to take me 20 minutes or longer to fall asleep at night when I would first go to bed at night- before carnivore. Now it takes like a minute or less. Haven’t noticed since I am out fast! *No more life long eczema *No more cold hands *No more cold body temp in general! Used to feel like a reptile - only warm in texas sun. *No more IBS symptoms (gas, bloating, stomach pain, constipation, diarrhea) *No more feeling low energy by 12pm and zombie by 4pm *No more purple looking hands in winter *No more brain fog *No more arthritis that I felt in hands, knees, and hips- or elbows *Lost 45+ pounds from former baby weight and peri menopause weight. *Always had 20/20 vision with slight stigmatism- but in March doctor said my stigmatism is reversing! *Don’t sunburn as easily anymore and tan well. *Wrinkles around eyes seem to be much less. I am 46 and look like I am in early 30’s. *Gums look super healthy. Dentist seems irritated as my teeth are not dirty when cleaning every six months. Think they know they won’t make money off me. *No more sore chest from monthly periods- no swelling feeling of fullness or discomfort that prevented me from sleeping on my stomach. Now I sleep every night on my stomach! *Fibrocystic Breast issues reversing! Almost all gone after 6 years of buildup! *no cravings unless they are for meat *no more angina symptoms before a period- which started about 3 years ago. *No more feeling weak like almost passing out and dizzy around ovulation and periods * no more fingers swelling- that started a few years ago- rings kept being tight- is pattern I noticed. One ring I had resized larger and it’s super loose now. Will have to resize smaller. *feel stronger- now lifting barbells not just hands weights. Dr. Baker said since I am 46, and 5’7” at 122lbs- need more resistance training to add more muscle weight. . So bought a 47lb barbell off Amazon and have 40 extra pounds added to it. Will continue to progress with that. * i had started growing grey hairs in one of my eyebrows, few hairs at a time, but no grey in my blonde hair yet - but assumed it was coming before Carnivore. Now on carnivore I have had no new grey hairs growing in eye brows and still no grey hair in my natural blonde hair. And in the sun it gets super light highlights. * no more body odor! * I used to get a little anxiety with large crowds- like if attending special events- but since on carnivore I don’t get it that much. *I was a bit OCD before carnivore, but so much more relaxed so barely like that. * I was a relaxed person before, but somehow am even more relaxed and never stress about things. *Since I was a young child my sense of smell has been terrible. But 9 months on carnivore my sense of smell has gone crazy! I smell things even far away! Amazing! *no more allergies! I was allergic to cedar and oak pollens- and mold- but since carnivore I am no longer reacting to those outdoor pollens which is amazing! If I think of anything else will add. ☺️👍🏻 I know when people go on carnivore they are trying to heal something, but if they aren’t like me and notice small things- they may not notice they are healing way more than they realized- things plant foods were causing! And they need to remember, processed foods are made from plants- but so are whole foods (raw or cooked!) they are all toxic! The carnivore diet cures! ☺️👌🏻 The body is a network made of multiple gears- and if one gets messed up it causes a whole domino affect of problems like I had! The carnivore lifestyle is not a fad, it’s the ancestral human way of eating! Go Carnivore for a few months and see how you feel! ☺️👍🏻
@@dongentelman7858 everyone has a story to tell on how carnivore heals and this is all facts on my healing- not as long as others that have healer more than me! ☺️

100g of carbs in the early evening. It helps me sleep aswell

The decrease in performance only happens temporarily during the adaptation period. Once adapted there's no difference except for endurance which gets better. (My experience matches this; also my energy tanked when I added milk and cheese.) Gluconeogenesis can use fat, everyone in their right mind recommends eating more fat, not more protein. Also gluconeogenesis upregulates as people stay in ketosis. It is true though that it's harder to force myself to eat more. SHBG increase appears to be only the case in people who overeat organs. (My experience: SHBG is normal.) The thyroid issue is purely a hypothesis and I've heard of nobody who had the issue.
Well, I tried adapting for over a year on the keto diet. 3 times I tried carnivore. That's what I don't like about many carnivores, they speak like vegans. Like there is only THEIR truth and if you cannot make it work, you are not doing it correctly. Rather than... Not everyone CAN adapt effectively. My sleep got worse. My strength got worse, no energy for high intense exercises. Instead, everyone should use a repeat - test mindset. Discard what doesn't work. Listen to your body. Add what works. Just because I cannot do the carnivore diet, doesn't mean I cannot eat more grassfed beef and eggs. My preferred way is, skip breakfast, exercise at lunch time. Take one apple, immediately post work-out to refill glycogen without insulin (because of high intense sprinting or calisthenics). Then a low carb lunch. Then a high carb dinner (rice or potatoes).
I find a Mediterranean diet that has high fat, healthy proteins, a variety of vegtables and fruit provide the best outcomes for me personally. Ive tried extremes but balance and mindfulness of what and when you eat is key. Honey is a staple in my diet due to my allergies. I source it locally to boost my immune system and it adds more carbohydrates to my overnight oats with fruit which fuels my morning workouts and activity. Ive done vegan to the point of saatvic diet, fasting, ketogenic diet, the carnivore i could not maintain for a long period limiting my personal understanding to a short anecdotal experience. My body operates better with a diverse diet that limits caloric intake and focuses on healthy macro and micronutrients. I rarely use supplements as my bloodwork show nominal levels across the board. I do still adopt the carnivore diet when i need to build muscle mass but its just a small cycle that is targeted for growth. My normal diet is attenuated for homeostasis and long term sustainainability.
Would be great if you could add links in the description or a pinned comment to the studies you showed in the video, as well as others that you've used in your research on the topic.
@@JennifertxCarnivoreThe moment you mention our ancestors you lose all credibility. There is very little research on the carnivore diet. It’s disingenuous to recommend it until more data comes out and we better understand the effects of if long term. We are vastly more healthy than our ancestors and a lot of that has to do with our ability to have a more diverse diet. Just because our body can adapt to a limited diet doesn’t mean that diet is more healthy. We simply do not have enough information or understanding of this diet. Because they want to make money off us being sick- but want us buying plants first before getting sick. They want us to live shorter lives and want to depopulate the country with things like cancer!
Yea cut out cheese tho not gonna explain why but the main reason is that cheese is a quite processed food and it has a added ingredient not listed on label I forgot what it’s called but it causes memory loss and Alzheimer’s and also dairy is linked to an increase in acne I still eat yogurt tho and cheese occasionally ur right for the most part tho

Good information but recent literature is starting to show that even at higher % VO2Max output the body can shift more & more into fat oxidation depending on the current diet etc.
It’s not true that the “only” reason the carnivore diet induces weight loss is because of a reduction of calories. Sure, that’s obviously a huge part of it, but we use and store calories much differently when in ketosis. Not all calories are the same.
@@739jep which is…obviously true. Lol. Unless you think walking and sprinting a mile have the same affect on the body. Thank you for supporting the facts I laid out…?

Nutritional studies do not take into account the amount of months it takes to actual start to burn more fat during intense exercise. To go from 200 to 700kcal per hour of fat consumption takes several months, and no study is long enough.
Derek MPMD once said that carnivore diet depresses testosterone and free testosterone, showing some exmaples. Also, there's iron oversupply and possibly toxicity.
Whole foods is key. No matter what they are for the most part. In my opinion It's a performance vs longevity arguement. Balance. I don't eat meat unless it's grass fed and rarely. I'll keep it simple and eat some salmon and sardines. I would rather keep it safe
There is also a concern / risk for strict carnivores who are having multiple smaller meals per day and keeping their insulin levels permanently very low without any "spikes" that come from carbs or a very large protein intake from a large meal. The issue is that the body requires insulin for the enzymes that convert T4 into T3. Hence without regular insulin bumps you may be affecting your metabolism by getting low T3.

That's why eating larger meals less frequently is generally recommended in the carnivore communities.
Good info. Appreciate you saying that carnivore/Keto is better than the average American diet and would benefit the average person. Any potential downfalls of meat based are far outweighed by the downfalls of the average diet.
Yeah but you can still just eat a well balanced diet and be even healthier than doing Keto or carnivore. ( unless you have a disease or diabetes etc) the average healthy person doesn’t need the keto or carnivore diet.

black or green olives in brine- they very very low carb so youll stay in ketosis- mostly made up of fat and fibre so no more constipation. Just check the label. but over timeyour body will adapt and youl go toilet as normla
I started eating fruit and honey after watching Saladino, and I’ve seen a recent shift in mentality towards certain carbs from a lot of the keto / carnivore guys.
Vitamin C is important for the body, I never liked the argument that being on a carnivore diet requires less Vitamin C. While it is true, it is never a good idea to focus on the minimum requirement for anything. You want to reach the optimal level for nutrients. I believe even ancient humans who were hunters that rarely ate starchy carbs and would still eat fruit they came across it. Ancient humans were nomadic, they only set up camps where specific plants could be cultivated like the starchy ones, they had no farming practices. These hunters would probably view the starchy vegetables created from cultivation to be inferior food, it would be mostly women that ate it as it requires camps to do the work, and would also provide a place to raise children as a home. The men who had no interest in parenting and focused on hunting and war would be the guys who preferred meat, mimicking mostly a carnivore/keto diet. Our ancestory roots would actually explain why women tend to respond better to vegetarian/glucose-focused diets while men respond better to meat/fat+protein-focused diets.
Those who were “saved” by the carnivore diet will never embrace carbohydrates. They truly see them as the enemy and are evil. They can’t distinguish between healthy unprocessed carbohydrates and candy/cakes

How are you defining ‘need’? Getting the bare minimum to survive is a different thing entirely from optimising your health. While I acknowledge there’s a lot of variance between individuals there’s pretty overwhelming evidence that fibre is beneficial. The ancestral diet is general is very weak. What I love about carnivores is how they will outright deny a wealth of data on the foods they consume and promote while making claims they cannot once support with evidence. The sheer denial of the environmental impact also makes me laugh as narcissists really do so much mental gymnastics to avoid acknowledging any faults with their behaviour so they don't have to change anything and imply they're less than perfect, even as the planet burns directly due to this behaviour. Furthermore, the trope has always been that vegans look unhealthy but if you look at people like Jordan Peterson or Paul Saladino you can see the sadness and rage in their eyes, which is behind their beliefs and view of life and desperation for power and control by manipulating very susceptible people for gain. Fear-mongering the plant kingdom because your body can't handle a minute about of plant toxins (quantity based and effects differ between species) does not mean they are 'bad', it means you need to improve how your body functions and not reduce everything to its worst component. And no, regenerative ag is not more sustainable or applicable to 8 billion people, nor would your ancestors be impressed with you cosplaying as them and destroying what they suffered for.
