I lived in Whitehorse for 18 years, I left in 1998 so a lot has changed but while I was living there I loved it. The people make living in the Yukon the best place to live
14 Years I lived there...Whitehorse, Yukon. April 2008 to August 2022. The wilderness city will always be in my memories, a great place to live and call home.
Hi , that's great, congratulations. Can you answer me a question please? It's difficult or ease to get a job there as International student? How is the job offer there, I hope go there next year, and I would like to know different aspects...thank for your answer
@ Reinaldo Chacon Whitehorse, Yukon, is booming with population growth, plenty of jobs available in all employment sectors, government, hospitality, retail, construction and trades, recycling to name a few. Apply for jobs at companies and businesses, job search done mostly online, although doesn't hurt to drop off resumes in person. Acomindation is a challenge and a possible struggle though, realestate and rental markets are highly competitive due to increasing demand of people moving into the Yukon territory to Whitehorse and the short supply of housing availability. Winters are long, dark, cold with extreme low temperatures and lots of snow, basically brutal, Summers are 24hr daylight with 19hrs of sunshine each day around the Summer solstice with pleasant warm temperatures, watch out for mosquitoes, there really bad, and the ravens, don't leave groceries unattended in a pickup truck, they will go to town feasting and making a mess. Hope this helps, myself currently reside at Calgary, Alberta.
