യൂറോ 4 standard പ്രകാരം 2009 കളോടെയാണ് ഡീസൽ വാഹനങ്ങളിൽ dpf technology ഉൾപെടുത്തി തുടങ്ങിയത്. അന്ന് മുതൽ ഇന്ന് വരെ ഓരോ വാഹന നിർമാതാക്കളും വ്യത്യസ്ത രീതികളാണ് തങ്ങളുടെ വാഹനങ്ങളിൽ ഇൗ technology പ്രവർത്തികമാക്കുന്നതിന് അവലംബിച്ച് പോന്നിട്ടുള്ളതും.
DPF regeneration രീതികളിലും ഇൗ ഒരു വ്യത്യസ്തത ചില നിർമാതാക്കൾ പുലർത്തി വരുന്നു.
1- വാഹനം ഓടിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന സമയങ്ങളിൽ regeneration നടക്കുക
2- ഡ്രൈവർ ക്യാബിനിൽ ഘടിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന സ്വിച്ച് മുഖേന നിയന്ത്രിച്ചു regeneration നടക്കുക
3- DPF regeneration സമയമാകുമ്പോൾ വാഹനം നിയൂട്ടർ ഗീയറിൽ ഇട്ടുകൊണ്ട് പാർക്ക് ചെയ്യുകയും regeneration process ആരംഭിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്ന വിധത്തിലും ചില വാഹനങ്ങളിൽ dpf technology പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നു.
DPF regeneration സമയങ്ങളിൽ വാഹനം പാർക്ക് ചെയ്യുമ്പോൾ/ ഓടിക്കുമ്പോൾ വാഹനം തീർത്തും മറ്റ് വസ്ത്തുക്കളിൽ നിന്നും വളരെ അകലം പാലിക്കേണ്ടത് അത്യാവശ്യമാണ്. DPF regeneration സമയങ്ങളിൽ exhaust gas temperature 600°C വരെ ഉയർന്നിരിക്കും. exhaust gas ന്റെ വളരെ ഉയർന്ന താപനിലയിൽ വാഹ നത്തിനടുത്ത് ചെടികൾ, പുല്ലുകൾ മറ്റ് വസ്തുക്കൾ തുടങ്ങിയവ എന്തെങ്കിലും ഉണ്ടെങ്കിൽ അവക്ക് അപകടം സംഭവിക്കാനും കത്തി പോകാനും സാധ്യതയുണ്ട്.
