It's funny that the thing holding Diluc back the most is that he's a slow claymore user. Llike if his attacks were a bit faster he'd compete more.

It’s so crazy how people swore up and down when she came out that Kokomi was awful. She was really judged unfairly and I think part of it was people blowing off steam/taking their anger from the anni out on her (and her fans and her CN va too sadly). They knew 100% what they were doing when they designed and released Kokomi. And this just shows it. Also. Small edit. I do think that even though he’s fallen from the dps leaderboard, he’ll still put in the work if you still want to use him. You’ll just have to keep his flaws in mind and it’ll take a bit longer for you to notice results compared to more updated pyro dps’s

I recommend checking out the #1 Mona simp LACola for some sick Mona clips. She may be stressful to set up for vapes but when you do it right it feels so damn stylish.

Something to note is that this abyss ruin graders have high physical resistance so its hurts kokomi bubble damage a lot

This video seems to come at the right moment for me since I just pulled Kokomi and Mona in the same ten-pull two day ago. Immediately build the two of them and upgraded most of their talents, including normal attacks to level 9 (because yes, I am an absolute madman even though now I got no resources left lol) and I was really surpirsed to see how both of them could achieve 40-50k with a vaporized charged attack! They can dish out some serious damage! This says a lot about some characters that are universally acknowledged as pure dps. I mean, Diluc here (and probably others) got beat at their only job!

This is the reason why i tell people that they shouldn’t be afraid of kokomi making the team’s dps go down by a lot. Even a c0 kokomi could output at leasy around consistent 30k in just 3/4 seconds if you need heals (if you use HP/Hydro/healing bonus) during her burst. She’s an emergency button for people with skill issues.

people who don’t have kokomi are just not gonna understand kokomi 💀 in addition to everything kokomi already did (hydro enabler, healer, tank, i mean seriously if you manage her cooldowns, not being at 100% hp is the real endgame challenge) her artifact set almost gives her albedo-like sub dps, just as physical damage. i’m not gonna say she’s INSANE UNFAIR BROKEN POWERCREEP EMBODIED overall obviously, but her role compression truly is NOTHING to be scoffed at, so if you want that let me tell you, it’s extremely valuable and you will not regret getting her (if you like her character too obviously)

happy to see my queen (Kokomi) holding her own very well 😊 I run her with C6 Fischl, Beidou, and Aloy to maximize AOE damage and her bubble pops, and the team is so much fun to use and basically plays itself. I get a similar sense of satisfaction from it as I do from a Raiden National team, but without the headache caused by flashes from Raiden's skill

But why couldn't we let Bennett destroy the shield in the first demo so Diluc's Burst can hit the plant without the overwhelming resistance like the others?

As a Diluc main... he really needs vape or melt... he just does not work without reactions 💀 Seeing his performance without reactions is just painful, given how slow he already attacks

For the spiral run, electro charged might be better for Kokomi. Electro charged gives her AOE and is very effective vs wolves.

Fun fact: You can cancel animation mona's auto with her skill at the end of her combo, this will help her tremendously when dpsing with c2

I think Mhy's balancing is if your character has a higher skill floor or constraints, they'll have higher damage More specifially, if you need ton of energy for your burst or lose your infusion on swap, you'll tend to have higher damage It's not completely consistent but it may be a risk vs reward thing

Man, Diluc is in a dire need of a rework. His DPS was painful to watch and unlike Koko and Mona he doesn't have an excuse for it.

22:05 the comparison of kokomi and mona brings 2 points that everyone looks over 1. kokomi in freeze team is faster than mona bc she takes less field time and her hydro application is just better plus she can heal while using ttds, very good against pyro lectors, wolves, primordial bathysmal vishap and so MAYBE more enemies in the future. 2. venti is preffered in speedrunning in this specific abyss' first half even though most of the enemies are unsuccable bc compared to kazuha, he requires less field time and restores 15 energy for ayaka and shenhe w the cryo infuse of his burst for the next chamber.

I've noticed that in that Diluc abyss team (which is also one of my two standard abyss teams with a c0 diluc and I still manage to get 36 stars) his damage goes up when you start with Xingqiu to absorb hydro into Kazuha's ult and then swirl pyro off Benny's ult after because Diluc vapes consistently like that instead of Xingqiu. I don't know if I explained that well but that's just what I've noticed when I played.

I really wish people would stop shitting on Diluc. So annoying to see such an awesome character get clowned because he doesn't do a billion damage. But then people will complain about powercreep and trivial endgame in the same breath 🤔😒

Diluc might get worse every patch, but he's still one of the more fun characters to play, to me. Very easy because his infusion isn't lost on swap, and very fun because you get to just spam his flashy E skill and big autos. Wish I could get some constellations for him instead of the C4 Keqing I have...

Paradoxically for Mona " Song and Wine" catalyst is more practical even if is a 4* weapon. The raw "damage per second" is lower, but is more consistent in a long fight.

I got Mona over a year ago and have her at C2 now. Yes, she is slower and a bit clunky, but I love her so much that she's always somewhere in my teams 🥰 When I'm doing Abyss she's my support and for exploration I use her as my dps and sub -dps

im confused. how come in the azdaha, maguu kenki and masanori tests, kokomi and mona get to have geo resonance while diluc only gets a mono pyro + honorary zhongli? is there any specific reason for that team comp? i assumed that maybe yanfei was there to hold TTDS but this might not be the case since at 08:17, 10:46 and 13:44 yanfei dropping her E generates white particles (so fav codex ?) but also because the TTDS buff wouldnt last long enough for diluc's dps window. also for your abyss showcase, would taking advantage of kazuha's c2 help diluc's damage? like xingqiu EQ > kazuha EQ > bennett Q > kazuha E (pyro swirl) > diluc's Q ? ofc this rotation also boosts xingqiu's dmg but the rotation you used (pyro kazuha Q) steals diluc's vapes iirc which prolly affects dilucs personal vape damage

I just want to point out that for floor 12 Diluc is using what is arguably his best team comp while Kokomi is using a team comp that maximizes her personal damage but minimizes her utility. Kokomi Taser is absolutely insane but I get that it would be difficult to showcase it without bringing the attention out of Kokomi. I'm sure Kokomi's case is also true for Mona, but I'm actually not sure what Main DPS Mona's best team comp is. I would assume it's a taser comp as well. edit: coming back to the replies, I now realize this was actually mentioned in the closing statements of the video. Electro-charged Kokomi really is the better team comp for her (where she is the main on-field DPS/driver). Obviously, she's better utilized as a support for Ayaka.

To be fair to kokomi in Abyss, she's works better with a Taser team there, Fischl and Beidou/Raiden. Might've taken out Geovishap faster too with Koko/Mona/Fischl/Beidou, maybe

I WANT YOU TO TRY OUT 2 teams with ayato for his release. 1.ayato freeze with venti rosa mona ayato 2.ayato yoimiya vape with yunjin and bennet.(ayato can be used as only E with shiminawa set and yoimiya can use 4set cw or 2cw and 2 nobless and both yoimiya and ayato will dps like raiden eula).the team has good aoe and good single target dmg if it works .yoimiya ult have low icd)

As an OG mona main dps user, this video is making me smile. In the early day of genshin, I said to my friends that main dps mona is underated and this video just prove it to everyone else. Just a tips for main dps mona, N2C is your best combo even if you have her at C2 but if you played her as beidou driver than N4 jump cancel is the best.

What I think is the situation here is that Hoyoverse expected every player to *eventually* have a C6 Rsomething Diluc even if their luck is horrible and they lose practically every 50/50 on a limited banner dps character, they really should stop bumping up health pools to the point where even a C6 Diluc feels like you're slapping a brick wall with a wet rag. The fact that Kokomi, who is specifically designed to have an extremely low ceiling on her damage at worst just keeps up with him but beats him more often than not is in my eyes, a design oversight that they should at least try mitigating.

I thought Mona is a better option in freeze than Kokomi because of Omen buff and she can use prototype amber so I expect a big different. but it’s very surprising Kokomi did it just slightly faster here

Hey man, I hope you make a comparison/review type video about the characters coming up in next update.

Accounting for the RNG component as well human variance in the quality of each run it seems like it would be worth doing 2-3 runs for each and then using the average times as your reference instead of sticking with your first run for each. Considering each run is only around ~30 seconds it wouldn’t take that much extra time for you and be well worth it for more reliable data imo

i actually retired my keqing so kokomi could be my main dps in the abyss pairing her with mona, rosaria and sayu (for vv purposes) makes her damage insane, and mona is a good battery, allowing kokomi to have a minimal downtime definitely the best investment i ever did for a unit

In conclusion, I didn't regret build Mona. Mona is the only standard 5* characters that I used till now. Meanwhile I bench my Keqing (I was Keqing main, crowned her talent) and Diluc (lv90, talent 9-9-9) since Inazuma comes. So sad that those two characters who I heavily invested not so reliable anymore in this current abyss. In contrary my low invested lv80 Xiangling, lv70 Diona, never absent from the abyss.

So i remember someone said when you dont crit you lose 70% of your damage and this showcase shows kokomi when getting enough er and battery is the reliable dps. And thats why i got salty getting engulfing instead donut. So sad the batman got nerfed till even healer deal more damage than him 😭

I played Taser Kokomi (C0, TTODS, TotM) with Yae (C2 R1), Fischl and Sucrose (both C6). I was quite surprised for the amount of sustained damage, while comfortably clearing everything in F12 at 100% HP. I think this Abyss is overall easy, and more rewarding for sustained than nuke damage, still I never thought I’d be able to clear it so easily without using my Ayaka + Ganyu freeze teamcomp.

Diluc’s nice. I got him with an R3 WGS. But man. Even if I didn’t have Hutao, I’d choose Xiangling more this time around in the end game. Diluc’s BiS artifact is the Crimson Witch. Which you need 4pcs and lets be honest. Its one of the shittest tier domain. You’d get 3K Lavawalkers before getting one decent CW. This alone already makes building him troublesome. Add also the lack of decent claymores to work with, as there’s only a few choices. Xiangling can work with The Catch, a literally grindable considerably OP polearm, some decent EoSF 4pc set, and she can already perform really well. AND you’re not wasting much of your resin, bc both artifacts are useful universally. And this is with both having the best support too. Bennett, Xinqiu, Kazuha/Sucrose. I also doubt they’d revisit Diluc for a rework. Nonetheless, he’s a husbando collection must for most.

I hope we eventually get some buffs or updates to standard characters..

Why not pair kokomi with fischl. Fischl c6 and kokomi fast auto attacks makes them a great pair

Kokomi is the best hydro applicator and, in my opinion, the best in freeze team since, instead of Diona, you can pick another damage dealer character like Rosaria or Shenhe since Kokomi is the greatest hydro applicator and can also heal.
