Im a Ghanaian but just love how the Olympic team of 1996 and the Afcon team of 2000 were dedicated to their country but these days players play without dedication.
This is the reason why Nigeria is not developing, we didn't respect ourselves. If Finidi is a white man,Osimhen will not talk to him like this. our major problem is NFF and our midfielders(Iwobi and Ndidi). All the goals score against Nigeria was cause by Ndidi, try to replay it and see.
Bro....I told a friend of mine that Finidi will fail if he starts Ndidi instead of onyeka... Osimhen messed up big time and I have never seen where Finidi made such statements
We don't respect ourselves thank you. Same us uses hate speech on our president Buhari, Tinubu and you're blaming osimhen from defending himself against a wayward coach
But fools will blame it on coach Finidi George. The Nigerian players act as if they're god but can't do that nonsense in Europe coz they know the consequences of disobeying their coach. When did Osimhen start playing football to insult Finidi on social media? It goes on to show his flawed character
Thank God you know can you go to the church and eat? No Europe is not Nigeria Europe is Europe They have rules Nigeria is Nigeria We have politicians who torment us putting wrongs people in position.
Even if Finidi had said directly he will not beg Osimehn, should players be begged to play? It is merely a statement of fact. I do not see how that amounts to an insult that should lead to him reacting this way.
I just see pride everywhere. You must always submit to someone in this life, If there's no-one you're answerable to, forget it, you might be making money, but won't be worthy of leaving a standing legacy that others will want to emulate.
You go beg you never see anything As a coach player can make coach loose countless job But for osimeh you need to just put him on pitch to open way for order players to score
@@olayanjuakanbi6643 If a coach has to 'beg' a player to play then he has no control of the team and IS NOT fit to be coach. It is the players that have to beg and fight for a place om the team. As a coach, if you cannot choose a team that is begging and fighting to be on the team, then you are not fit to coach that team. The players have to be on their best behaviour and beg to be on the team, NOT the other way round. Does Osimehn's coach in Europe where he plays beg him to play? Why is it that our standards are SO LOW in Nigeria and among Nigerians? smh
Osimhen is simply overrated. Go get me that qualification with Musa. I'm confident. Africa can not go to World Cup without Nigeria! 9 African teams to defend our continent. Nigeria, please! Love from Cameroon 🇨🇲
It's like these small boys no even get sense again, wetin Osimhen don achieve yet. When these men dey play Super Eagles was 8th in the world, so Osimhen has alot to learn from them. Him go just use arrogance destroy him career wey just dey start
@@olatunbosunajagun9705 Honestly e pain me. These Gen Zzz need to behave well and learn. So if Jay-Jay Okocha was the coach, na so Osimhen go take insult am abi?
Finidi and osimhen are not at the same level in football. Finidi won the best no. 7 in the world during his time. Finidi is one of the best world players Nigeria has produced, and this ant that hasn't play anything in Nigeria will be insulting Finidi as if both of them are mate
@@olatunbosunajagun9705 The Super Eagles, with Finidi George at number 7, were actually ranked number 5 shortly before USA '94 World Cup. Let that sink in for Osimhen.
Is Oshimen content with winning just the FIFA U17 world cup, 1 Africa footballer of the year award, no FIFA world cup appearance or goal? He hasn't lifted the AFCON and has Yekini's goals record to break. I will advice he put he's career into consideration rather than allow he's ego and emotions to get the better of him. Finidi has achieved the best he could as a footballer, Oshimen is just starting, so he needs to stay focused and humble. There's still a lot to achieve
Finito has won nations cup and champions league. Played and scored in the world cup and FIFA also picked him as the best outside right in the world in 1994 and was selected in FIFA best XI. Finito has been a consistently humble character. Osimhen will grow up it's youthful exuberance. What Finito did in his playing days for Nigeria, Osimhen is yet to meet 50% record of it that's where he earns the name FINITO.
@@ib6435you need to check facts before responding to anything as a professional. Till date no one has a recording of Finidi blaming Osimhen. So what was he responding to? Earsay
Even if Finidi had truly blamed him, would he have reacted that way to his clubside's coach or a foreign coach? We need to start respecting each other as blacks. And I wished his management had better advised him, and managed the situation in a mature manner.@@tolua.3094
Bro osimhen is a fool, what did he think he's,can he come out to Napoli coach like, how many times has Napoli call him names what's he done, let him get out, there are so many young players out there,
@@gudbeatzent4665 That's tell you Finito is a consistence humble man start from his playing days in super eagle. Either Finidi said what Oshinmen claim he said about him or not, I think as young footballer, he over reacted. He didn't response to Finidi alone, but entire Nigerians who loves him so much, not even NFF.
When u go to u17 camp you will see all this players begging and praying to play for nigeria but immediately they get to Europe making money they disregard the country that made them
England or any European would ever tolerate players arriving late to the camp. Strong Displine is needed. Use homegrown players whom are hungrier to explore themselves
Mr Victor was insulted in Napoli he did not use this energy to attack the club he displayed level headed maturity but there was a hearsay about his national team coach he went ballistic that's definitely a double standard and it is the lack of discipline and high standards in Nigeria national team that makes us not to perform football is a team game not a one man game the earlier the players become disciplined the earlier we get results
in as much as i condemn Osimehn's reaction, i put it to you that your question is not necessary, because VO9 still has years to play. or have you ended his carear already?
@@pedroifesinaeke3896that’s not true if the formation is bad and you have the best players you won’t still get a good result they will only depend on individualism and not team play
This is why CR7 is unique and will always be a legend. He is always willing to play for his home country, Portugal, despite his criticisms. Osimhen should learn to be calm and respectful. Please, get us local players who are willing to play for our motherland, and bring us J.J. Okocha to head the team. A player cannot be bigger than his coach.
I hate seeing someone people love misbehave, a cultured person should always know that whoever he is, age is an important thing that must be respected in people. A morally upright person will never lambast an elderly person simply because he criticize him. Not withstanding his unsatisfactory performance in the Super Eagles coaching capacity, Finidi remains a legend, a respectable and an accomplished ex-footballer, a man of great exploit and feat and an achiever who does not deserve such kind of ridicule from Oshimhen. It is quite unfortunate of him!
Osimhen has not handled the matter as a sportsman. This is a double-edged sword and he is at the receiving end. Finidi is an icon in Nigerian football even Osimhen Cannot lace up his boots so he deserves respect. A former football Chief in France was forced to resign for making disrespectful comments about Zidane! We know and will never forget the sacrifice that Finidi made for Football in Nigeria and the World! I believe even FIFA will not condone characters like Victor Osimhen!
@@ucheukponu877 is it the all-time score in our football history? He's making noise how many trophies has he lifted? When you talk about great players you know the yardstick to measure. Has he lifted nations cup, uefa champions league, has he played in the world cup yet or talk of lifting it? We should stop supporting bad behaviour and stupidity of any form. Encourage him to hail insult at his Italian coach and see what will happen to him. What a he can't do to a foreign coach he's doing it to Finidi George who has made this country proud. I'm proud of Finidi George anytime. See players like Balitoli, Pogba, Patrick Kluivert who acted like him how did their football carrier end? You support and encourage his stupidity because he's made more money today because of the wicked devaluation of our currency. Does being a millionaire make one a saint?
@@thomasassim-ita1787 VO9 is the second all-time leading goals scorer after Rashidi Yekini, and with his prolific form, Osimhen will surely surpass the great Yekini's record except Osimhen doesn't play for Nigeria anymore. If you are implying that I'm supporting Osimhen's purported bad behavior, you are not correct. I only responded to your question about how many goals he has scored for Nigeria. In the same vein, it is not good to ignore hard facts about the lad's utmost dedication to Nigeria's Super Eagles more than any current player because of this unsavory episode in a bid to lambast him. Nigerians do this a lot and we should learn to place things in proper perspective.
Some people are just so bittered and hypocritical. Despite the fact Finidi has debunked the lies said about him, these people are still justifying the insults Osimhen poured on Finidi. Don't worry, one day lies would be said about u.......u go explain, explain tire because there won't be evidence. Nigeria is a country where we respect elders.
He denied it bcs there's no concrete evidence to back it up, which means some of his Team mates may have pass the wrong information to him or he misinterprete the man. But I wonder why he didn't fight Napoli fans when they abuse him.
🛑 Yes Yes and Yes. For a game as big a forthcoming world cup, NFF should have look for experience and season coach and not a trial coach like Finidi. With all due respect for Finidi, I will put him for CAF but not for world cup preparation..
Colin Udoh! I remember him. He will say "I am Colin not Collins". He's been quiet but it's awesome to know he is still in the thick of things. Legendary.
This foolish people are jobless, Na one root Aller be super Eagles problem? You didn't prepare , you have lost you cannot face NFF AND CIACH ITS FOOTBALLER YOURE FACING. FIOLISH PEOPLE
Ofcourse he is not supposed to beg Osimen nor anybody. If they don't see it as a duty to play for the national team, so be it! They must be taught to play patriotically not for money nor gain! Please start a new Super Eagles team!
Media has really costed us a lot in the present world. My question is did you watch the interview.? Those that were there made it clear he never mentioned anyone and true why should a coach beg anyone to play and I am very sure he can never say such I mean Finidi. If he does not apologize openly, you will be shocked how his career will nosedive. Imagine at his age, major clubs are turning down offers, it's now Saudi that is keen on him. That I think should be what should be his main concern and not someone said this or that. Football is not only about akils but character as well. Part of what will earn Jude the balon d'or is his character. So he needs to do something as fast.
Although finidi might be at fault but with this altitude of osimhen I don't think I have ever seen such, footballer want turn Instagramer, ticktoker or content maker, this altitude can affect his price tag, it is not necessary to lambast lik that, even if you speak out they are professional ways to speak airing ur views , clearing urself without insult, he spoke with anger . It's unprofessional to respond dat way, how many top players do u see come out live to attack their coaches on jus media speculations. In Napoli the owner, media team and fans spoke bad of him, even worst, why didn't he come out live to bombard them but here he insulted the coach and even the Nigeria fans , media in his comments. Thats why footballers have agents that manage their affairs, his work is to use his legs to perform
I once told someone during the afcon that I perceive Osimhen needs prayers that there are spiritual forces against his career. Maybe because of my inclinations. But I know what I am saying. If he is not careful and prayerful his bright career may go crashing earlier than expected. My submission is subject to spiritual scrutiny. Pray for Osimhen
It about time players start speaking out because when ever indigenous coach Emerged they will this organised the team then set Nigeria backward because they are jealous they don't want those boys to do better than they did in their time that's it oliseh did the same thing and shamefully resigned after destroying the team why are we not seeing it keshi did it to Sunday MBA he killed that boys carer because he signed for European club when he asked him not to. Nobody talks about it it is only Nigerian coaches that always having one problem or the other with our players because they want bribe from the players refuse to bribe them and you will not play
Osimhen overreacted. Too rude. No matter what He could have said the same without all the insults. The NFF is really very unserious They are too arrogant.
I agree that Osimen should not have over reacted but still this seniority thing that we use to commit painful crimes against those we feel are our Juniors has to be looked into, being an elder does not give one the right to hurt and harass others
I concur, the reckless reporting and deliberate misquoting of people for viewership and following played a significant role in this mess. That said Osihmen must work on his emotional intelligence.
Yes that's true ..but even at that maturity sometime may seem like foolishness... Victor osimenhim in the first place should have confronted finidi privately in a respectful manner even if it's true ...that's maturity
Sincerely speaking, Osihmen take it too far. He shouldn't be talking like that. He need to be respectful sometimes. Nigerian national team is bigger than than him, if he did not play Nigeria will still move on.
I see this as we personally condemned our own player not to be among the world class player. This is bad of us. We know him as street hawker who can para for any customers who refused to pay him for his service.
to a point osimhen was wrong but you guys should take hes words in context he said he had been keeping quiet so before now it means theve been a lot of things hes heard or seen in past but decided to keep quiet and secondly osimhen didnt just wake up and start attacking finidi he was only reacting on what he has seen or heard at that time so lets be fair on this matter cause he felt betrayed if he had called d coach informing him of hes injury even sugested to be in camp and later for him to see such bad things said to him it wont be fair we are all human beings abeg
If the player said his injured and he spoke to u abt it,why saying u can't beg him to player for the nation,no player will take blame of what he didn't commit same as to ETH and Sancho,do NFF take proper care of players when injured NO....I don't blame the player if a coach can't fix his team and kw his players his not fit to coach....
Everything goes wrong where things go wrong as a way of life. We've managed to have people across sectors who are moving with anger due to what they perceive as targeting. Maybe, there's a lot behind the scenes that we really do not know. I hope that we'd focus on the world cup qualifications as it should be and leave all these fights aside.
@@cmichael2967 what was he doing there? Was he employed to just collect salary and put no effort like some of you who live deeply in corrupt practices? If you don't know that everything rises and fall on leadership you be mugu
What role did Nigeria as a country or our Ex international play in the life and development of our players that will make them have influence over the players?
It is never the Coach or the players fault, it is the systems, there will always be rebellion against a faulty system period. Na so we go dey see am for every small small group for this Naija
Mr Osimahn, Take am easy o you never reach any where o you are still on a journey and it will take you a long time to achieve what Finidi has achieved both in Nigeria and outside Nigeria as far as football is concerned Finidi is a legend in Nigeria football and a legend in some of the European clubs he played and I think you should know that by your self, As for you you never be a legend anywhere.
Yes, Nigeria is not worth dying for but same Nigeria made Osimeh through the opportunity of playing for under 17 and under 21 ,the two platforms showcased him to the world.
Osimhen put himself on the line. Just watching the eagle play you will agree no hunger for victory no commitment hence Finidi statement. Without Osimhen does it mean we can’t qualify. It’s an embarrassment.
Nff employed Finidi, because they thought he is a yes Man, players don't want him, osimhmen insult Finidi because Amunike is his boss. Error error error, from top to bottom.
Is Amunike a better coach? If you say yes, what make him a better coach. Again why is the NFA not going for Sanson Siasia? Can you compare Amunike to Siasia?
My take, I love the way Oshinmen didn't play, during the nations cup a lots of people said Oshinmen was useless and couldn't score a goal not knowing that he was the one doing the dirty job about 3 people tackled him alone.... But Nigerian were shouting Lookman... The team shouldn't depend on any player and need to work on team work... Also, Oshinmen need to deal with pride also.
Pls my own take is that the man knows he can't handle what is before him and he want to take his own account into the pitch he would have call all and have one and one talks their are some people who played with their Herat but looking at the squard most of them are not there why
The issue is that 80% of the SUPER EAGLES PLAYERS wanted AMUNIKE & AMOKACHI to be their COACH but NFF forced FINIDI on them.🤷🥺☹️🥺 FINIDI went further to Bench EKONG & Co.... rearrange his team other than what PASSEIRO has, WHO DOES THAT??😮😮
NFF is our bad luck. Quite unfortunate that they didn’t see the importance of qualification for World Cup. Why Finidi for such sensitive assignment, why?
I have never seen where the coaches of the Argentinian, Portuguese, Brazilian or the French team had ever begged Messi, C.Ronaldo, Neymar, or Mbappe to come play for their National teams. Never! Let alone Osimhen that have not earned or achieved even 5 percent of what the aforementioned players have achieved. He should get out!
