How come everyone is talking about Osimhen's disrespect of Finidi George but nobody talks about what Finidi said and how it made the social media go after Osimhen despite the fact that Finidi was duly notified of Osimhen's situation? That's too unfair on the young man. Finidi simply said he didn't mention any name but his utterances have equally caused Osimhen some pains because social media users went after Osimhen thinking he was faking injury and so his absence contributed to Super Eagles' poor performances but nobody feels sorry for him over that. Only his action for coming out to defend himself is what people are blaming him for. Why do people judge in this manner? Comparing him with Bellingham that is being celebrated when he, Osimhen is being hanged for his teammates' poor performance while he is actually nursing real injury. I think the Arise crew should be as objective in football as much as they are while analyzing politics because they exercise greater objectivity in that area. Now, to the substance of the entire argument, Couch Finidi is blaming those that couldn't make it to camp for whatever reason - whether fake or for real. Does that mean all those that were able to turn up for National duty are not a match for South Africa and Benin Rep.? Or that he, Finidi was unable to utilize those he had?

Any manager that is not good at managing people will always loose the dressing room. That's exactly what has happened. It is not a case of local managers, we have seen local managers in the past who did not have issues with players. The issue here is Finidi has failed to qualify us for the world cup not osihmen. If he has won his game, are we going to be discussing osihmen and Finidi? Let us talk about Finidi's job, did he do it very well? Or is it because of Osihmen that he did not do his job very well? We just like to leave issues to discuss other things.

Greetings fellow comrades. In my opinion, Osimhen messed himself up. Finito is one of the most decorated Nigerian player - in terms of laurels and fat account. Played in big clubs as well. Shoe get size. People wey know know. Osimhen was loyal even when his club (Napoli) maltreated him. But had the effontry to come out and rant on the social media. Finito is one player in the national team and club side you will not find in the wrong reasons. He has paid his dues as one of Nigeria's best winger of all time.

Greetings my brother. Your opinion is valid. But to me , Osimhen in my opinion has no moral justification on the show of shame he displayed on the social media. Finito at this point has achieved more than him in the round leather game- trophies, club size and wealth. I can't remember seeing Finito in any outburst with his coach both in the club and national team. Resignation shows that Finito knows his worth.

You probably didn't here him well or probably can't comprehend what he said. To help you out, he said this is the "PG" version. "PG" means parental guidance meaning they edited the video to meet the standard for public consumption. Most of what Osimhen said in that video isn't healthy for publicly consumption they edited it to suit the required PG standard.

Well, the earlier we come to the realization that a team doesn't just win games because of popularity and quality of players, the better it will be for Nigerian football and indeed sports in general as far as this nation is concerned. The blame game does not solve any of these issues. However, it is clear that the NFF is poorly run. Teams win because of structure, ideology and identity. When these are replaced with corruption, selfishness and vain glory, you have what we are having with the SE. There's still six games to play in the WCQ. The NFF is the main problem which began with their handling of the process of Finidi’s appointment before we even talked about the meeting to demote him. Osimehn is ill-mannered given his outburst. If he thinks of himself as something, he obviously does not come close to the technical depth that Finidi George had in his playing days. I doubt if he would be able to make the Super Eagles team of Finidi's era. Agility alone would not sustain you, cool-headedness will. Let's even assume the coach said so, should that be enough reason to hand him this level of public disrespect? Could he have taken his father to the cleaners? Finidi is old enough to be his father. Had Osimehn been an English player he would have suffered verbal convulsions after many unrestrained weekly bouts of open criticism by ex-players like Roy Keane and Gary Neville. Yet Harry McGuire has kept his cool even if that has cost him the Euro 2024. Osimehn should ask players like Mido who toed this line before. No player is indispensable. I recommend that the NFF come very heavy on him. By now I expect his endorsement contract to have been put on hold if there is any to serve as a deterrent. My common sense question is when the finidi statement about osimhen began trending on social media, did anyone (including Finidi) refutted it? Did anyone try to defend Osimhen then? The answer is No!. Everyone started assassinating Osimhen's character online as if he was the reason Super Eagles failed. I agree with you that the system is rotten. Until we clean a rotten system that is the NFF, we can't say if a player is showing gra gra or not! Finidi has shown the whole world that he is not capable of coaching the Supper Eagle. Yes, he has an issue with NFF over his circumstances, and he decided to resign.
