My hats off to Ayesha Siddiqui and I realy enjoyed every second of her talk. Another brilliant, intelligent and really intellectual personality Pakistan unfortunately failing to recognize like other intelligent and so famous personalities due to below average, one sided and narrow mindset nourished by constant one sided indoctrination and media with no freedom to alternative narrative.
This woman should be our role model. I get in awe at her brilliance everytime i listen to her. Pakistan owes so much of its intellectual mobilization if any to women like ayesha siddiqa.
One of my best Pakistani personality who ever talk about the establishment regarding their intervention in political, and as well as social , economic affaires. Being a student of politics i really glad to go through her book , “ Military inc “ .
I realize how intellectuals could deliver the best of their experiences without any premium. Over the entire session , I marked the timestamp 33:25, where Tahir saheb actually made an effort to pin it hard on Ayesha sahibaa for her say...😊😊 .. been a casual watcher of Gora saheb's sessions on RU-vid so far, and I have appreciated the fact that it's always carried out at a different dimension, devoid of any differences, at least with the humankind. Us all being human, gelling with nature still remains wayward. .. How I wish if such realization percolated well down to us at all levels..
Dr Aesha is spot on on the Pakistani identity crisis I have been following her for long and she is an unrecognised assets of an ungreateful nation The fact that reasonable people are not respected is itself a pointer of a decaying nation
In my opinion, the biggest reason the military rules in Pakistan is because the civilians are divided along ethnic, tribal, religious, sectarian, linguistic lines to name just a few. Second, most people still admire the military because they think it provides them "protection" against the external threats. Third reason is financial and social status, social connections, political reach, and for stable and secure future of their families. Pakistanis have never learned a thing from the British Raj and the Company Rule in the Indian Subcontinent.
Arif Raza. Youre absolutely right. There is such a lack of conceptual discourse in our country which I think is due to the staggering amount of obscurantism coupled with coersion. Its not that we are unable to see things because its our decision. We are stripped off of eyesight.
Arif Raza Dear, India is much more divided on lines of Caste, Religion, language and Customs than Pakistan. Each State has it's food, language, dance, dress, culture etc.
@@zaighamjanjua3177 I have similar views. The most troubling thing about Pakistan is obscurantism, mullaism and too much religious fervour in society that keeps any talk of modernism at bay.
Ethnicity and DNA we carry is God given and we must live in harmony with it. Otherwise you land up in a mess like Pakistan. That is what Dr. Sahiba concluded. Religion is man made but ethnicity and DNA is in fact God made! The day Pakistanis accept that they Indians and are part of subcontinent and that they are converted Muslims, Their conflict with in their own mind will end and so also external conflict
What a analysis! I wonder, if pakistan is having such a great mind and clear logical thinking personalities, who the hell is "establishment"? Throw them out of country!
Excellent discussion by Mr. Gora with Dr Ayesha. Pakistan becoming old-KSA can make KSA, Iran nervous as then it would interfere more in Islamic-world's affairs. So it suits KSA, China (uighurs issue) to keep Pak financially-dependent and carry 'Kashkol'. Pak-establishment, the real-ruler, sees things in terms of security, protects own interest and subjugates political-class. The state could unravel like soviet-union :-) Pak will be stress, identity-crisis unless it becomes a moderate/democratic state.
Our Army is worlds best Army. Such women are bitches... traitors.. work for money watch this link to clear your mind ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sZitGgYFxz8.html
One important observation is none of pakistani like what they talk. This shows they are heading to be doomed sooner or later. Very few pakistani people accept that their ARMY is really most roughed army in the world. And they feel proud for their ARMY.
Very useful talk. Resolved many unsolved questions in my mind. I was put under virtual arrest in 2013 and it continues till today. House bugged. Car bugged. Wire tapping. Pursuit. Being a "dissident" Punjab Government ousted Officer. Even continues after being ousted. Dr. Ayesha you may not be surprised that I am being pursued by more than 100k field agents in the last 6 years out of which 32k to 36k are motorcyclists. If same person tails you twice, you can stop and ask him but if there is different person every time, you cannot ask him. It was their demand to "surrender" or "just submit" and I still don't know what does that mean?. Not any military agency rather a civilian agency and that too private one I think. Dr. Sahiba I guess Sharif Brothers have outnumbered the State institutions by creating their own spy network and an army, and that is why they are suffering these days. I filed a constitution petition before the Supreme Court and it was fixed before Hazrat Justice Saqib Nisar who refused to interfere despite he said that he understands that system!
Brilliant insights by intellectual who lost to Pakistan & have settled overseas and who helplessly watch Pakistan slipping into a mire led by mediocre men of the Pakistan Army surrounded by enemies created by its past actions. Nathan Sekhar Sydney Australia.
Why I get the feeling that establishment is treated as an enemy here in this program? Why can’t we have a balanced discussion with their perspective being taken seriously or discussed?
Pak's have nothing unique or special to offer the Chinese or the world wants - unless one is looking for Islamic Jihadi and/or suicide bomber training. :-)
it amazes me endless on how the people of Pakistan let the army establishment fool them. The army keeps feeding them this false rhetoric of threat from India and the people keep falling into that trap. The only hope for Pakistan is for its people to unite against this establishment. For that to happen, all the political parties need to come together first, including the ruling party. But, if that happens, the army, which has been hiding behind Imran Khan and running the show will come out into the open and its martial law all over again. Sad state of affairs.
Tabdili aayi to sahi jo pokistan jina. Ke mutabik secular tha Bina vaha ke dusre Dharm ke logo se puche Islamic republic porkistan kar diya Islamic , republic both are controversial ye tabdili he?
Pak bhaion ke liye sirf ek masoura hai ki aapka army hi sab samasya ki jad hai. Inka ek hi matlab hai Awam ko India ka khaup dikhake Apne swarth Ko kayam rakhna hai. Aap logon Ko pata hai ye generalon ka kitni property Kahan hai. Baki rahe apki maulanaon. Inke bare mein kya bolun. Ap logon Ko pata hai. Ye donor tapkonse dur raho.sab thik ho jaega
Honestly speak that our Army is the only one institution that always sacrifices for our people and for our country we also know that gready people for money always against our poor people and our Army,we pashtoon alWays with our Army and stand for the defence our country, every day we see that FC,police ,rangers, army and others security agency are martyred daily so for what??only and only for the sake of our people ...Pakistan zendabad pak Army payendabad.
Rudee Boyyy jammu and kashmir abi bhi India ke paas hai jhaa Kya ukaadletha ukaadlee tu aur Teri heartless soulless army and country, pathunistan sindhudesh balouchistan banke rahega just wait and watch punjabipigtani
Phir Gora sahab kya mainai apna mulk chor diya? Kya mainai kisi sai nationality mangi? I still love my country. These all negative elements will be eliminated very soon and this country will get its true freedom. Our true freedom and unity is just in Islam.
