Seeing Barbara Sturm on daytime TV with no makeup I'm sold on her skin care line. Just one small problem is I can't afford Barbara Sturm so, I'll just stay being impressed and continue to purchase the skincare products within my budget.
Ladies, I'm turning 44 soon, and I never paid attention to my skin until the last few years. In fact, I would go as far as to say that I abused my skin (e.g. entire summers suntanning with jojoba oil for hours a day). I have no wrinkles, no fine lines, no sun spots, no visible damage, and I have had no skin treatments/procedures; in fact, my skin has improved over the years. What is not being told is how much genetics and nutrition affect the aging of skin. I spent the last few decades dedicated to plant-based, mostly organic, UNPROCESSED foods (and lots of weightlifting). I really believe this has been the key to my youthfulness, and why I shock most people including Asians. Don't buy into the hype. Beauty works inside out. This is not to say that a daily routine isn't necessary; however, you don't need to spend ridiculous amounts of money. I use Cerave hydrating cleanser, Beauty of Joseon sunscreen, Dr. Jart+ ceramidin moisturizer, and Paula's Choice 1% retinol at night.
I disagree with you.. I disagree with you on ignoring or abusing your skin. Infact.. by eating well and exercising, you honored your skin because you took care of your body. So I agree it's from the inside out. You are awesome ♥️
Dr. Sturm's gives good advise about an anti-inflammatory diet - "eat food not too much mostly plants says Michael Pollen" Make a healthy diet a priority as best we can; I too can not afford her products. There are affordable options out there for daily skin care; Number one is use sun screen!
Inflammation is everything! That’s exactly why eating an anti-inflammatory diet (no sugar, no processed foods, lower carb), it shows up on your face big time!
@@fafafifufu weed isn’t a problem but smoking it is. Putting any smoke into your body/lungs is harmful. If you smoke every once in a while it’s not going to affect the body as much as doing it often but any smoke of any kind in your body is toxic and it’s harmful.
You don’t need such expensive skincare products workout eat clean drink a lot of water wear spf! That’s a big one I’ve been wearing it since I was 14 I’m 30 now and everyone thinks I’m 23 not that I care but prevention is key!
la prairie cost that 1000/50ml eur just for one product and people buy it. we are obsessed with youth. the Bible offers the hope of everlasting life from Jehovah God, soon to come and we turn our back on it. let's pray for God's Kingdom. Matthew chapter 6.
I never had problem skin and fell for the hype of Barbara Sturm products. Her products would just sit in on my face and if I tried to layer another of her serums on top it would pill horribly. I tried several things to eliminate this including waiting between applications several minutes. I truly believe her products work for some but they just didn’t work for me, unfortunately and I WASTED my money. I even bought the smaller size of items but they were still costly. Not to mention I believe my face became more acne prone from using her products because they sat on my face and clogged my pores. I’m back to following DrDray’s (on RU-vid) recommendations of Cerave cleanser and PM moisturizer and tretinoin 😊❤️
@@fatoumaidris1248 I have nothing to gain by lying. This was my experience and I was even refunded my original purchase price , by Barbara Sturm, for my purchase because it peeled so bad..I sent the company photos as proof. Again these products may work for some, didn’t work for me. End of discussion.
When I was in my anatomy and physiology class, Dr. McMahon said that the molecular structure of most beauty products are too big to penetrate the skin. That was over 30 years ago.
Drink water, use sunscreen, exercise, eat fruits and vegetables, sleep 7-8 hours, reduce stress, and have meaningful relationships, and help other people. Also, cheaper products work just as well. Do your research.
I think we spend on what we deem important to us I know people who spend between $1,000.00 - 2,000.00 on units and hairpieces and wigs I think that's crazy.
If you allow a guest too much freedom they get long winded and stray from the point. It's good that the host navigates to keep on topic and focus on the man points that the viewers need to know
Every other doctor says the same as she does. She just repackaged it to sound nicer for tv and regular people.e.Reducing inflammation is good for the whole body and skin is the bogy largest organ. What is innovative here? Her skincare line has no innovative ingridients yet very high prices. Sunscreen and retinoids on consistent basis and you gonna be fine. What is incredible apart of 300 bucks price tag?
It's amazing what humans do to try to remain youthful and live forever. However, we can't escape the truthfulness of the creator when he stated... the outside will waste away. However, the man on the inside is being renewed from day to day. So, the inside of a person is more important; the exterior will fade regardless.
Add a lime or lemon to your water everyday and save a wedge for your face, neck, and back of your hands. Give it a month and you'll see a difference on your skin.
Yep, Barbra Sturm is too Rich for my blood, I'm an everyday working woman, not with Star Angela Basset type of money.. Maybe she should have thought of the average woman, but hey at them prices I see why she is rich, only the Kim Kardashian's and the Angela Basset's can afford it.... I'll just stick with my Oil Of O'Lay products when she thinks of us everyday working folks somebody let me know... it's a beautiful thing, but it is too costly for me, the average 61 yr working woman out here.. I guess the cost of beauty is high!.... My DNA & oil of O'lay will have to do it for me...
Rumor has it the line is not even all that. Like if it works for those who can afford them cool but products worth a tenth as much can give the same results.
Totally agree. I fell for it and bought two of her cleansers, toner and moisturizer. What a joke. Did nothing other than gave me a bit of acne at 41 years old. Gave them to my sister-in-law, who had the same thing happen Nothing special about these ingredients, and there are RU-vidrs, who put out dupe videos of her products that are almost identical to hers at a fraction of the cost. It’s all marketing and she loves to promote using celebrities.
When I was a teenager, I had really bad exzema and Then I had a dream more than twice about my face sweeping up with blood like someone whipped me and blood was bursting under. I believe God was trying to tell me look into that dream deeper. Wish I did. She is amazing
@@Hollysays You would need : 10 oz of fresh cloves 15 oz Fresh Rosemary leaves, fresh ones preferably. Put them in a medium size pot add 2 cups of water and bring to a boil. Let it boil for 10 minutes and then reduce the heat to medium low for 5 more minutes. Let it cool off, pour water into a receptacle using a filter to separate water from cloves/Rosemary and allow to cool off some more. Water should be dark in color. Apply to hair using a spray bottle. Concentrate on the roots, massage scalp and let it dry. Beware that the water can stain your hair if it isn't dark. I also use the water on my face and upper torso/arms as a primer Please exercise due diligence and do your own research prior to following this instructions.
Omg, well done lady on becoming so hugely successful😃🌼 she looks incredible for her age and no make. However, I agree with others commenting on the price, waw its expensive, and clearly only for the wealthy, not something I could afford. Interestingly though, the anti-inflammatory diet is something anyone could do and it was something she was encouraging and not selling. In all honesty, eating a healthy diet, exercising as and when if possible and taking care of your skin with affordable products as well as enjoying life as best we can is all we need. We are all beautiful in our own way and I encourage everyone to 'be free to be you' xxx 🌼
I started out with the mini kit as well… I’ve definitely seen a huge difference in 30 days. Once you start purchasing they will send samples 🙌🏽 good luck on your journey!
Ridiculous prices for items that just are not worth the price tag and a bad con. NIOD multi-molecular for example has complex hyaluronic acid at a fraction of this cost - around $30 I believe. Watch Madaboutskin on RU-vid who reviews this line by Dr B Sturm (B and S spring to mind here!) You do not need to spend huge sums of money on skincare and this line, as regards cost, is a con imo. Celebrities endorsing this over-priced stuff are probably sent these items for free and if they pay for them they have more money than sense imo.
Hehehehe…….😂….a guy here. I brought one of her face moisturizer …. Not sure if it’s day or night, but I used it for ONLY one night. It was awful - I had watery burning eyes, red irritated skin with tiny pimples(?) about 1.5 hours after application. Took the entire white jar and dumped it in the trash. When back to my $14 Vanicream face moisturizer.
I don't quite understand the logic that an orthopedic doctor somehow becomes an expert in dermatology. There is certainly a lot of marketing at play here.
Go Vegan (eat lots of fresh veggies & fruit, beans, avocado, etc..not vegan junk food!) Drink TONS of water, always wear a chemical-free SPF and get plenty of sleep-your skin will look amazing. I've been doing this for 15+ years. I'm older than Dr. Sturm and frankly, my skin looks better than hers. Sorry but you do NOT need to buy all of this ridiculously expensive stuff. 90% of the way your skin looks is lifestyle (stress, smoking, diet) and genetics. My go-to beauty product is a jar of $8 Coconut Oil 😉
Go vegan 👀😳…… R U OKAY? The vegans I’ve seen, they all look half dead with pale skin, dry eyes, unhealthy looking skin and hair. I’ll stick to my milk, eggs, beef, pork, chicken, pasta, beans, veggies and a slice of angel cake.
Sorry but i ve been using Clay on my skin for years and drink it sometimes, i m 53 and my dermatologist told me that my skin is perfect..Yes she did told me that. Clay is cheap sometimes free, so give me a break with your expensive products. Keep in mind that only people with no health problem can drink Clay, but everybody can use it on the skin, Clay cures a lot of problèms!
Seriously? Her skin is beautiful…looks like she is wearing no makeup and yet she glows.. looks younger than 50 and yet she looks natural..not fake or botoxed…
She looks 55!!!! Plus her neck looks horrible & telks her age plus her face is starting to droop, No matter the skin care white women will ALWAYSSSS age faster & like spoiled milk!! Look at Tamron next to her!!!🤷🏻♀️
I’m so happy to be getting older and don’t give a …. about wrinkles. To be wasting money on her products that maybe work for some, is wasteful. Making her huge profit while draining my bank account. I’ll take the gray hair and wrinkles and keep my money.
People come from different areas of the country, of the world to the shows. Look at some other shows like late night TV and you'll see that they have on masks. The person sitting to you may be very compromised health-wise and in my area we're still having deaths due to covid and now there's RSV. This pandemic is not over yet. Best to err on the side of caution.
Ok, regular people can't afford these products at all. But I guess you have to showcase it because you can afford to purchase it. I will stick to paulas choice. Ridiculous
I'll have to check out her neck@! That's the one thing you can't hide your age. But I am sick and tired of them over pricing, like they think we can afford that outrageous cost!
@@marymargaretmorrissey2160 I wish it was not so expensive I have medical problems with my skin and even soap. Is to sensitive for it. Wish I could afford your products
@@marymargaretmorrissey2160 no they think we believe the hype and that we would sell our children to get a product that will keep us looking younger when their products out there that work as well as they can but equally as well as overpriced products. Some of the affordable products actually work better.
A $300 hyaluronic acid serum?!? What a scam!!!! And a joke. Skincare is not rocket science. She is saying what every other dermatologist is out there saying. Only she is acting like what she is saying is somehow new + innovative. Yea, pass.
her cleanser does nothing, dried me out I use cetaphil gentle. as good if not better . it does not take make up off lol no wipes? cmon now.. i use a makeup remover rag its microfiber u should seee the amount of foundation that comes off after using her cleanser! buy from a store u can return... I do like her moisturizer BUT the augustus bader is wayyy better, for dry skin .. the anti pollution drops i liked , the rest eh too expensive. I'm 48 .. so.. oh and those glow drops lol waste of money!!!!! i cant even... lol
Masks for your audience yet you are maskless and hug your guests. Do you not understand you are all breathing the same air. Your audience is being portrayed as slave class. Shameful.
