One thing i wanted to say about the Dennis Gross products. I recently bought the Dr Dennis Gross Hyaluronic Marine Oil-Free Moisture cushion which is his moisturer. It uses good ingredients which i like. I have oily facial skin and liked the fact this moisturizer was oil free. I must tell you when i tried this moisturizer for a week, i couldn't believe how oily and greasy it felt on my face. There is no way this moisturizer is oil free. It just feels so oily on my face. Right now my regimen is Ole Henriksen The Clean Truth Foaming Cleanser. Ole Henriksen BALANCING FORCE OIL CONTROL Toner. My favorite moisturizers are either the Olay Complete Daily Defense All Day Moisturizer With Sunscreen, SPF30 Sensitive Skin, 2.5 fl or the Olay Total Effects 7-in-1 Anti-Aging Daily Face Moisturizer. Both Olay moizturizers are oil free and fragrance free. Both feel very silky on my face. The top of the line Olay Regenerist Moisturizer which has the Amino peptide ingredient which the other 2 Olay moisturizers i recommended don't have. The problem is the Olay Regenerist Moisturizer is not Oil fre,e so that's why i'm not interested in that one. I'm trying a few Serums like the OLE HENRIKSEN Truth Serum, Coui Super C Serum and Timeless 20% Vitamin C + E Ferulic Acid Serum. Let me see after a month which one i like best.
I just bought this an in 5 days I see a brightening! It is great - I have been using Timeless for two months; a good product for the price, but because I have good skin for my age, I was not seeing anything dramatic. Thanks for this review and info!
Your skin is beautiful and radiant! I would have never guessed you weren't wearing foundation. I think there is a huge difference in your acne scarring from your earlier videos. I just ordered the alpha beta pads and the eye serum. I only ordered the 5 pads to make sure I can use them. I have really sensitive skin. If they are too strong, I'll try the ultra gentle. I'm already using a Vit C serum that I like a lot and my skin loves it (Drunk Elephant). Thanks for a wonderful video! I love skin care! and makeup. well really everything!
The Drunk Elephant Vitamin C is the first C I've been able to use ever. I've been using it for about 1.5 years and LOVE it. It has made a huge difference in my skin. My skin is much brighter and lighter dark spots have faded. I love the container which has an airlock and non see-thru bottle. The product is guaranteed to stay fresh for 12 months (If I'm remembering correctly). Some complain that you can't see how much you have left but since I'm on 3rd bottle I can tell by the weight and I always have a backup. I use one pump every morning and it is enough to do my entire face and neck. One bottle lasts me close to 6 months. I also like the company's philosophy. They do not use a bunch of fillers in any of the products. I also use DE Marula Oil and B Hydra. For reference, I have mature (very), sensitive dry skin.
I haven't tried the DDG Vit C. I'll probably stick with the DE C-firma because I know my skin likes it. It is pricey but it lasts me close to 6 months so for me it is worth it. However, I did just order the new DDG C+ Collagen Brighten and Firm eye cream. I'm always trying to find an eye cream/serum that my eye area will tolerate.
I had used the DE for 4 months when I got this. I used this for about a month then went back to DE to see which was best for me, and the Dr.DG is way better. It is a lot more potent, and has lactic acid which helps to gently prevent breakouts. I also like the texture better. The only problem that I have with the Dr. DG is the smell, but because of the gel-like texture (which is way better than the DE) it soaks in immediately.
Mona your skin looks amazing! Could you do a comparison between this vit. serum and the drunk elephant c-firma serum, and even others on how they compare? And why you choose the ones you do. Thank you so much!
I used the vitamin c . I had allergy reaction . I used at night then in the morning my face is red ,swelling and itchy . I guess is so strong for my skin

I just start using this c serum and my cheeks and chin is very dry . I’m noticed flaky dry skin on my chin . I’m wonder if I have allergy reaction of c serum is too much for my skin
Hey I've heard that vitamin C oxidises quite easily in heat/sun, and the oxidised version is less effective and can even irritate, Does the product instructions recommend night time use?
Hi dr Mona, so I recently started using this product. The only thing I don’t like is that it does get me red on certain areas of my face and it stings just a tad. Could it be that I’m allergic or just too strong ?
I must say that I hate you a little right now... You have the cream already?!?! Did they happen to say when it will be coming out? I was able to get the serum early from Sephora because I am a VIB Rouge, but have not seen anything about the cream. I used to use the Drunk Elephant C-Firm, but Dr. DG far surpasses it! The Dr. DG also has lactic acid as the 5th ingredient, so that also helps to keep the skin clear (no breakouts) and moisturized. My only hate is the smell of vinegar. I hate anything with vinegar, and can smell it a mile away, but I will say that as soon as the gel soaks in (basically immediately), I can't smell it anymore.
Great review! Love DDG products. If you are going outside, do you apply an SPF? Doesn't vit c make skin more susceptible/sensitive to sun damage? Thanks so much!
Yes I always apply an SPF but I didn't include my SPF application in the video because I completely forgot! I didn't realize until I was doing my makeup later that I didn't apply SPF. Whoops!!!
Have you tried the DDG Sheer Mineral Sun Spray SPF 50? I got it last summer and really like it because it isn't a white or tinted cream. I usually just spray it in my hands then put it on my face. with the Spray, you can spray your arms or whatever.
I have tried his regular SPF 50 that's in a tube and liked it. I always switch up my SPFs because I like to try out different ones. I'm glad that you spray your hands first and then apply the SPF to your face. You never want to inhale SPF because it's damaging to the lungs. I cringe every time I see people spray their face directly with SPF sprays!!! Yikes!!!
Love his ferulic and retinol serum. Also the alpha beta pads. Going to get the Vit C serum. Could I apply every other day with vit C and the the retinol?
Gail Perkins: This is a year after you asked but it's still true: As per DDG himself, you use the Alpha Beta Pads in the morning and then apply his ferulic and retinol serum every day. If the pad strength is one that you can't tolerate every day, that's fine but do apply the ferulic and retinol serum in the morning; daily. At night, use the Vit. C serum and cream. If you use his retinol pads as well, alternate them with the Vit. C serum at night. If you use his Weekly Peel, use ONLY the ferulic and retinol serum in the morning and the Weekly Peel that night (with NOTHING else). I've been using his products for a LONG time and I can tell you that his peel pads and serums are all you need to see amazing results. You can use his mositurizers and cleansers but as long as you use his peel pads and serums, you can use any brand for everything else (cheap or not). Wanted to add that his spf 50 (chemical or physical) is the best I've found and my oncologist recommends the physical one to all her patients (she's not a fan of chemical spf's for anyone who has had cancer).
