I’ve done exactly the same as you. The only difference is, I cut it into half and use the other half the next day. It’s too pricy, so why not and still see great results.
I love it ! Using it for past 3 years now, and suggested everyone around me to use it. This works great at night and before makeup as well. Makeup looks great after using this. And everybody compliments me that I am glowing. Love it ❤
there is a sensitive version -- its supposed to be slightly tingly, and may be a little more of a burning sensation the first few times. But red like a tomato like you described means your skin is sensitive (and should thus use the sensitive ones).
So you can do two things, one is to reduce the time the Peel is left on your skin, say do it for 30 seconds instead of two minutes. The other thing you can do is to purchase the alpha/beta peel for sensitive skin. There's a type of acid called polyhydroxy acids that are very gentle and only exfoliate the very top layer of skin. Those also may be a good option for you.
These peels aren't strong enough to cause immediate skin peeling (if you were seeing immediate skin peeling off that would be quite worrisome but also highly unlikely). Even with a peel done in-office, such as a TCA peel, it takes a few days to see flaking/peeling. Even then, you aren't supposed to pick but just let the flakes fall off on their own (gross, I know) ~ picking at the flakes can also cause damage, scarring and discoloration.
My assumption is that it increases skin cell turnover (hence the "peel" aspect) but its safe to use at home so its not the medical grade chem peels that you get done professionally
In the video, the girl mentions you have to wash your face first. This is a glycolic peel (it's acid), it's not a good idea to use on your eyes to remove mascara or shadow. This is only effective if you wash your face and then use it afterward, so the active ingredients can get to work. :)
@@KBeautyNyc Well, it depends on what your skin care goals are. I'm 53 and want to brighten skin and repair sun damage. I use RetinA at night, and do the alpha/beta peel during the day two or three days per week, in the morning and apply sunscreen after to protect my skin..
