I have ADHD I wouldn’t be able to keep my discipline if it wasn’t for adderall. It has made my life so much better. I’ve gotten to the point where I don’t need it anymore but it helped me get my shit in order for sure.
Hence the “unless you are clinically diagnosed with…” line in there. I agree I have seen people use it quite effectively when prescribed correctly, it’s all about which instrument for what issue.
Man, I’m 40. Finally went for an assessment after losing 3 supervisory type jobs requiring on point executive functioning skills. Was prescribed 5mg Adderall and OMG it is night and day! I am so focused and completing tasks left and right. My memory has improved. I can sit and listen to people when they talk and not be thinking about a million others things… it’s incredible and iv only taken it for a few days. Skipping pills today because it’s a calm day at work and I can feel a HUGE difference.
So many horror stories of a drug that has helped me immensely. I have severe adhd, 60mg a day prescribed 6 months ago, before then i was a failure to launch lump on a log, now im gainfully employed and 2 months into getting my masters in clinical psychology, then on to my Doctorate. Abuse vs use.
I was clinically diagnosed with ADHD and had been taking adderall and vyvanse for almost 10 years. Then I came across dr. Anthony chaffee’s and dr Shawn baker’s videos and I decided to give the carnivore diet a try. On week two of the diet I was able to completely stop my adhd meds. I was amazed that I didn’t have the crash and mood swings and fatigue that I normally would have when I used to try stopping it. I’ve been on the carnivore diet for 3 months and I feel AMAZING. So focused and my adhd is completely gone. Which my doctor could not believe 😂 adhd is a carb loving disease…my depression anxiety and ocd are also gone. It took me two months in this diet to really readjust my dopamine levels since being off my meds but I am never going back ❤ I also got off my thyroid meds after two months and I feel great 😊
I'm 27 and have the ADHD (inattentive type). Adderall clears the mental fog immediately when I need it, but if I take it on a good day I transcend to Godhood. He's not lying about it being legal cocaine, shits powerful.
Hey I’ll refer you to this specialist who guided me through My Adderall experience he’s got all kinda psychedelics and ships discreetly to any location
He never mentions the fact that Adderall was originally designed for appetite suppression for eating disorders. However once the pharmaceutical companies were made aware of the fact it was working on children with attention deficit disorder that's when they decided to cash in on it.
This happens all the time with almost all drugs. They are either accidentally found to have an effect, and are later found to have an even better effect on something else, or are designed to have an effect on one thing, and are again found to have an effect on something else. Most psych drugs are like this. The different effects are often dose dependent. Aspirin is a great example. In medium doses it acts as a pain/antiinflammatory drug, in small doses it's taken as an anticoagulant to reduce the risk of thrombosis.
@@dustinkfc6633 Yep was designed to dialate veins to lower BP, turns out it had an affinity for dick veins and dialated them so hard 80 year old men sprung forth like teenagers lol
I hate how agitated I get off that shit. Then become consumed with depression after not taking it for a few days. Not good for me, so I don’t take it (talking about adderall, not what he mentioned)
After I was diagnosed with ADHD I was prescribed adderall. I used to be chronically messy. Now my house is clean. I enjoy keeping it clean. The effect was like night and day for me. 😂
I don’t understand how nicotine gives people energy? It makes me want to lay down and go to sleep. Unless I’m doing blow, then nicotine is fricken awesome!!!
@@cosgroveme2489 nicotine makes me nauseous and wanna puke i cant smoke a cig or vape for shit unless im on lean cuz then im mellowd out it doesnt fuck w me
I’m after moderate TBI too and I was prescribed Adderall a few months ago and I can tell that it was the most productive and functional months in the past 5 years (since my injury). Life is different when you can rely on your memory.
Wait so can I chew nicotine gum instead of taking Adderall? I am 31yo and I just got diagnosed with Adderall. I went through nursing school for LPN and passed the NCLEX by the skin of my teeth. I want to go to school for RN but I am terrified because school was sooooo difficult for me. Is nicotine a safer option?
I can’t stand the folks that say prescription meth. This is way more accurate. When something is prescribed and used correctly it can be a positive thing. People act like other folks who take adderall are junkies. Couldn’t be further from the truth. Some of the most successful people who are put together as they come are on it daily.
It’s prescription meth. However you want to spin it. Many of us need drugs at one time or another, but hopefully we use them as medicine and get off of them at some point.
@@richardricketts7224 i mean you can still absolutely suffer psycosis if its used incorrectly. remember meth is perscribed aswell, the dose makes the poison
Amphetamine, not methamphetamine. And don't tell me they're the same thing. Chemical similarity is not intuitively linked to chemical action. There's only 1 atom difference between water and hydrogen peroxide, would you drink the latter? I rest my case.
@@sasca854 Your wrong, meth is just the amphetamine peak but dragged out and hits the brain faster, but the feeling is the exact same thing, its like dabs vs weed. literally speed is amazing for partying.
Modafinil can get up to 2 or even 300 bucks depending on the dosage. 200mg for almost a month prescription is about 200. If you have good insurance or VA coverage then it's next to nothing.
Yes it is, just not the common ways being used to administer it. The binding affinity to certain nicotinic receptors in the brain is wild and very helpful, do some research 😊
Honestly I have really bad ADHD but I’ve always tried to stay away from medication. I’m 25 now and I feel like I can’t focus to save my life. Fidget like crazy, can’t sit still for more than 5 minutes. At this point I’m really considered it as a last resort
Hey I was in the same boat at that age and it just got worse and worse for me and I moved to alcohol to deal with it and ruined my life. A few months ago I got on 20mg adderall xr, stopped drinking, and got a medical marijuana license and use it to curb the alcohol cravings and help me sleep at night since stimulants make it hard to sleep sometimes. I stopped drinking first but it wasn't till the adderal I started feeling like I was living again. I was able to focus and make plans and to do lists and work on goals and get my life back. If you have any questions let me know
