Infections with the KP.2 & KP.3 subtypes are also growing in the UK and Europe, the increase is earlier than last year and the peak is likely to be much higher. This is supported in the trends seen in hospitalizations. In previous years the wave subsided and then there was a further wave in the Winter, which peaked in January. This pandemic is far from over.
