This patient presented to us having been diagnosed with dystonia. However since her symptoms started shortly after birth, it is more likely she was afflicted with cerebral palsy. She presented to our office with an "alien-hand-like" presentation of her right upper extremity. She had very little functional use of the right arm. After rehabilitation in our office, she was able to do something she hadn't done in her 60 years of life. Namely have enough control her right hand to open a door.
