What is up guys! Today, we are going to do a review of the Dr. Martens 1461 Oxford Shoes in Black. I recently been seeing influencers wearing these shoes and they happened to look nice. It looks fantastic on every occasion so I decided to get my own pair. These Dr. Martens 1461 shoes are no joke when it comes to versatility. You could think of anything you would want to wear with this. And when it comes to the quality, you already know that Dr. Martens shoes are one of the top producers. If you own a pair of Doc Martens 1461 (or any Doc Martens), how do you normally style them?

I wear mine as work shoes with standard length business trousers and a business shirt. I find them to be far more comfortable than any other shoe I've owned for work and the pair I currently own have been with me for a number of years and still look relatively new. I haven't worn them as a casual shoe before, but I came across your video as I'd like to get more use out of them and wear them with casual clothes outside of work.

@@gerrym75 appreciate the comment. This is why I love this shoes because of its versatility. Dress down or up, it works perfectly. As I mentioned from your other comment, wear it whatever you’re most comfortable with. Some people look good with rolled up pants and some people don’t. Fashion is very subjective . I always go with whatever I think looks best on me and I feel confident wearing

Kids in my high school wore these with Lucky jeans, a large belt buckle, designer t shirt with the sleeves rolled up. still how I prefer to wear them.

@iamdarryl I am having a delimma with Dr Marten's sizing. I am usually size 9 US with sneakers. I ordered 101 smooth size 8 US and it's choking my feet so badly, so i decided to get size 9 but it's too big. I tried using insoles and it fits perfectly. However, i recently bought 1461, and just to be sure, I ordered sizes 8 & 9 US. The size 8 choked my feet again and i really can't tolerate it. But size 9 is still too big. I thought with insoles it could fit a little bit snug but the opening of the shoe is too big that when I walk, it slips out of my ankle/heel. 😢 I want the style of 1461 but I am now considering returning both of them. I just don't get Dr Marten's sizing, why they don't make half sizes.

That's really a dilemma. One solution I could provide is to wear thicker socks if you decide to go with size 9. Yeah, I know it sucks that Doc Martens dont have it in half sizing

When you say to "go down one size," are you referring to the UK vs. US sizing (for me, that would be 11UK/12US) or actually going down 1 in size (US12 down to US11)? Also, how's the arch support in these?

Hey Tom. Yes, you need to actually size 1 down (US12 down to US11). Arch support is not that much

Solovair has a great arch support and better leather shoes construction. Close competitor for Dr Martens.

Hey man, I’m afraid that might be too big. For reference, I normally wear size 10 on sneakers, but I had to size 1 down (size 9) on this one.

@@rdkmx1628 Hey bro, I would go with size 12. Once again if you typically wear size 13 to most of your shoes, then I would size down to 12. Hope this helps!

Im a true to size 9.5 in sneakers and 10 for comfort, i got some Doc's in size 9 and they fit too small, so i got a pair in size 10 and fit perfect

Hey Ronilo, I would go size 7.5. I had to size 1 down to wear this. So I normally wear size 10, but i had to get this in size 9. Hope this helps and thanks for the comment!

doc martens sizing is one of the most odd out of any shoes, i hear people saying they went true to size and it was too tight to they sized up and practically got clown shoes so i sized down to 8 and they fit perfectly, and then i see comments saying that if they go a whole size down their feet get choked. i don’t understand why they don’t just do half sizes lol

Hello Dale! Size down ka pre (example: if you’re size 10 regularly, get size 9 for this shoes). And hindi siya maingay pag nilakad. Hope this helps bro and thanks for the comment!

I think mainly for aesthetic purpose. But I've seen other people wear these with wide or relax pants with full length. I think it's just the preference

@@iamdarryl Yeah I get that - it's probably more of a personal preference on my part as I think the whole high pant/ankles showing trend is really naff and should probably be done away with sooner rather than later. But maybe I'm a but old fashioned that way :)

I hear ya and I know why you said this because of how it looks (Oxford has closed lacings while Derby has opened one). But, I gotta follow the exact description of the shoes. Doc Martens likes to rebel
