I’m not saying they should not do the right choice the best option to save the persons life I’m saying it Hass to be the patients choice, though some people may feel that they would rather be dead than lose something. That’s a big part of them.
Sharon Jensen Um no! That’s not privilege because being objective and not being objective nothing to do with neurological condition. There are autistic people that are extreme empaths like my Aunt and then there are autistic ppl that are extremely objective like Shawn
Morgan defended herself by disparaging Shaun instead of self-reflection, even though she had her patient's arm amputated due to her misjudgment. Morgan is the last doctor needs to be comforted
And this is one of the reasons I support the Lim/Melendez pairing. Melendez has always noticed every aspect of Lim and has come out admiring her for all of them.
I'm glad that this happened to her, because she was working my dam nerves, acting like she is better than everybody, like she doesn't make mistakes, she pissed me off when she tried to throw Shaun under the bus,ole hefer
@Sharon Jensen I think you're stereotyping a lot here. Being rich and privileged isn't the problem because otherwise other characters such as Jared would have had the same qualities. The problem is the fact that she is over competitive and manipulative
This was the first time we saw Morgan act more like a human being. I seriously wonder what her story is because it obviously effected her judgement call with this patient. Maybe we'll start to see some character development with her.
Well we know her parents are doctors. I feel like she's the typical rich, smart beautiful princess who was popular and gifted in everything. There was nothing she couldn't excel at or manipulate/bully her way through excelling at or get through with connections. Now she's in the real world with a real job and she's had her first experience of learning that the real world isn't like that and she's not the only smart talented person in the world and there are people immune to her manipulation. It's a common experience for young adults from wealthy backgrounds to learn
MsJubjubbird she didn’t grow up rich. Her mom died when she was six and her father instantly married a “child-hating bitch with a butt load of debts “. She told Clair in first season. She does want a job and she does want to save lives. I think competing is the only way she has learnt to survive. It’s her huge mistake to not to take Shaun seriously. She paid. But she is growing.
@@sarahgreeniverse7499 No her parents are alive and happily married- Morgan lied to Claire about her background. Claire looked into her and called her out on it. Morgan then justified it saying" Coming from privilege, no respect"
Best guess: she knew about her arthritis diagnosis and the impairment of functioning it'll cause and end her dream of being a surgeon, so she may have identified with the patient, seeing that the patient's dreams would come to an end.
Oh my god Are u kidding me He fights for Shaun He always comforts people who are down and the fact that he did to someone like Morgan proves how genuine he is!
I never liked her . She felt like she know everything. She has a cocky attitude. Once shawn told her that they needed to remove the patient's finger, she should had taken it seriously . At least they would have saved her arm and hand. I feel so bad for the patient. Waking up from surgery and seeing that your arm is gone. She thinks shawn is a baby and doesnt know what hes talking about. I'm glad the patient said that it was her fault So she can step back and think what she did wrong
@Sharon Jensen I think the reason he treated Reznik differently is because she and Melendez share one very prevalent trait they're both arrogant. As Shaun's told Melendez, "being arrogant makes you a better surgeon", but in Morgan's case her arrogance cost her patient a limb. Maybe he was trying to show her that being arrogant doesn't work for her.
@Ana Garcia No I think this scene makes Melendez a bigger and more likeable person than reznick's trashy bitch ass! So having said that,🖕fuck her and everyone else who's been mistreating Shaun! 💯
Shoving Morgan totally deserving that, I love Melendez despite being against Shaun at the first time. I really liked him, because while he didn't like Shaun, he did listen to him whenever it came to the patient. He never lets anything get personal when they were working. Professional, I like that. That and he manages to see Shaun annoying, irritating and someone who should totally hone their social skills, but Morgan? Melendez was not nice to Shaun but Morgan was a total disrespecting bint to him! She amputated a girl's arm because she was being competitive! That poor girl!
A lot of people hate this character (Dr. Morgan) But I really like her. This episode is the start of her development. The writers have a lot of potential in this character.
@Sharon Jensen Yeah, that is why I like her character so much. She acts like a know-it-all and only cares about herself but honestly I think it is just a facade. She made a mistake now and like I stated in my original comment: I think she can grow from this point forward.
@Sharon Jensen Oh believe me, I have met similar people too in my Life, and not only females. I am not authistic ( even though I share quite some similarites with autistics). But I have a speaking disorder: I stutter. I stutter since I was barely 6 years old so I know how it feels when people think you are lesser than them. I know how it feels to be treated as inferior but I worked hard and almost got rid of it. I will always stutter, it is something that will never go away but still, I am able to participate in conversations now. Like I mentioned I have met people who were like Reznick but I believe in a second chance. She is mean to Shaun but I think she will change from this point forward. If I were Shaun I would give her a second chance. Like I said in my original comment: the writers can do a lot with this character.
@Sharon Jensen Indeed, if the writers handle her character with good, she will undergo an amazing development. And I agree that it is not always a person's fault. Like you said in your earlier comment: she thinks she is helping him. When I stuttered back in elementary school, both teachers and students completed my sentences because I was unable to say them without stuttering. They thought they helped me but they only made me feel worse about myself. Some things seem bad but were done with good intentions.
Exactly, all I see is people with chips on their shoulders complaining that this was because she was rich and privileged. They are totally missing her real flaws and so her opportunity to be humble and grow
LESSON FOR LIFE:: STOP COMPETING!!!!! THAT CAN MAKE YOU DO STUPID THINGS. JUST DEDICATE YOURSELF TO WHAT YOU LOVE AND DOMINATE. COMPETITION IS FOR LOSERS.
She's a smart beautiful girl who has grown up in an ivory tower and can get through any situation through being competitive. IT didn't work for her this time and she can't work out who it didn't go her way this time like it goes her way every other time. It's common for young adults who have grown up with a silver spoon in their mouth to experience that for the first time in the real world
MsJubjubbird she didn’t grew up with a silver spoon in her mouth. Her mom died when she was six and her father instantly married a “child-hating bitch with a butt load of debts “. She told Clair in the first season. She does want a job and she does want to save lives. I think competing is the only way she has learnt in order to survive. But she is growing.
@@sarahgreeniverse7499 Clair called her out on it being a lie later. She just made that up so she would eliminate Chair's chance to play the sob story card. Everything is a competition for her and that includes getting the most sympathy. She will learn that what works in school and College and parents who are proud of their little angel doesn't work in the workplace. But the only way to do it is through reality checks like these.
It be fair to say that we shouldn't have to worry much (if not at all) about Morgan not working as a team. This is definitely a major turn of events for her.
I find Morgan way more likeable than Lea. There, I said it. She’s bloody flawed and arrogant, but watching her actually develop into a better doctor and person while maintaining her drive is fun to watch. Way more than Leas crap.
I have a question so in a real life scenario can the patient (the woman who lost her arm) can she sue the doctor that treated her (Dr. Morgan) or will they make her sign to make sure she can not sue the hospital after surgery? Sorry im not an expert in law and dont know if hospitals have different policies.
She's imo, one of the WORST characters, it's hard for me to find her ''like-able'' at most, hopefully she get some character development and stops acting selfish and ignorant.
How about now? One of my favorites in the show. Since the first episodes she was in, she has stepped up so well! She has learned very quickly to "handle" Shaun and sometimes even seems to be the only one seeing Shaun an actual human being, communicating with him like he didn't have any disorders. Love how she sometimes is like supportive sister to Claire helping her to deal with her mom problems. Being only one noticing when something is bothering her and making effort to help her. She seems to be more compassionate now, but I still love to see her compete constantly with Dr Park :D Sometimes they seem like siblings too! And she has shown vulnerability. Many times. And empathy. I wish other doctor would finally start to see her as a friend. She seems to be really lonely.
Okay, he just saw her symptoms. Symptoms that could've saved her arm and only lost one finger to none if she would've listened to him so i don't feel bad. I'm sorry, but it's her fault.
Morgan to Shaun: true, but I know she's not in middle school. Which means she would've thought about you as a man. She wouldn't want to settle with just one, Innocent, peck.
That,s why it's said, Arrogance and attitude is not torlated in this profession of medicine, that attitude that I know every thing get the person to race the life matter decision and if wrong it can destroy patient and doctor life
Why is everybody hating on her so much? I lowkey like her and even ship him with Shaun (instead with Lea). I fell in love with her characters when she told Shaun to bought a really nice suit in season 1. I think she's nice but the way she said it often makes people judge her wrongly
seriously come on, it was flesh eating bacteria it won't just stop at eating a finger or two, it could be her whole body if untreated even a kid can make that logic out, yet morgan didnt
I think Melendez pep talk was the worse..... if that is how he comforts someone he sucks. Ironically, I think he figured out his feelings for Claire though. It would've been unethical to pursue something with her while she reported to him.
Stop hating on her. She was upset because she think she made the wrong choice and she should have listened to shaun. And jaz told her it's all her Fault and to get out. Morgan is human we all are. And we all have feelings
