Dr. Paul Marik Discusses Intermittent Fasting For Women
Dr. Paul Marik is visiting us today to discuss intermittent fasting (IF) especially for reproductive age women.
Points to discuss:
What is the best way to do intermittent fasting for women of reproductive age?
Why does IF promote the growth of cancer cells?
What are fasting mimicking diets?
Are the animal studies with alternate day fasting and ovarian dystrophy applicable to humans as well?

I love Dr. Marik. Broke my heart when he testified he had to sit idly by while his patients died from Covid. The medical system is so rotten but there’s still men and women with integrity. ❤ Also everyone should know his sepsis protocol.

@@bobthrasher8226 it blows my mind still so many people cannot see how evil the medical industrial complex has become. There’s plenty of seemingly good people in hospitals just following orders, just following standard of care, just doing their job. As an immunologist - I LOVE that sex differences for the consequences of therapeutic intervetions are being carefully considered from the perspective of metabolism and immune function. This is critical. Female sex is the greatest predictive risk factor for an autoimmune disorder, yet all immunotherapies (including vaccines) are given to everyone at the same dose with the aim of achieving some regression to the mean. Thank you, Drs. Syed and Marik.

I am a female and I have been doing intermittent fasting for many years. I think I had started around 2013 or so. I would skip breakfast and then eat my first meal around 11 or 12 noon and I would be doing long walks in the fasted state. And in the past - more recently - I have even done 18 or 20 hour fasts. I am very athletic (walking + hiking and do lots of half marathons but I walk them) and I do yoga + ride horses. I find the fasts are very easy to do and often I just don't feel hungry at all. Of course I am almost carnivore these days + live on grass fed beef × lamb. Mainly beef. I still eat some prunes for extra potassium and I do drink GT's organic kombucha Synergy. I eat like 1.5 pounds of beef a day. But most of the time I am not hungry and I do feel good while fasting. I just seem to know which days I need to take it easy and eat 2 meals versus which days I can do a much longer fast while doing a much longer walk - like be out walking for 5 hours fasted and then eat much later in the day like around 2 or 3 pm. Must be working as so far I have not had that C19 at all..no jab. Oh and I am cooking a pot of grass fed lamb as I write this! I do try to get the most fattiest pieces of meat I can. I like eating the fat. But I cannot eat poultry or eggs or dairy. Unfortunately I react to those. The same for pork. My whole diet is avoiding foods I react to, to avoid inflammation. And I do eat vitamins + minerals. Because the diet cannot provide enough of the nutrients to support my exercise. But I must be doing something right! And these days I am slim but muscular. Normal blood pressure. Oh in a few months I will be 51. I have a very good memory by the way. I can remember things from way back when I was 4 or 5. And I am a tea drinker. ☕ been drinking plain tea for years. You just need to remember that tea can eat up vit B1. Thiamine. My trigs were 35 last time I had it checked. And as for supplements I take 5 different ones, including iodine drops. Due to a corn allergy I cannot use regular salt. And the sea salt I use doesn't contain iodine so I take 2 drops a day.

Strongly believe that fasting plus D3, K2, Zinc, Quercitin & Magnesium & a daily walk induced autophagy & helped prevent any long term sequelae of C19. (FYI, retired Respiratory Therapist)

She celebrated her 87th birthday in August. Mom has been T2D since her mid forties and had heart bypass at age 61. I believe IF and keto regime has extended her life and improved her overall health.. I’ve had long Covid since July of 2020 and I do notice that I just feel better when I don’t eat. It’s very frustrating because I feel like my body just hates food and doesn’t tolerate it. If I eat too much, the stiff neck, sinus problems, migraines, brain fog and feeling of inflammation in my head comes right back. Sugar is a big trigger. I have noticed that most women I know recoil when I mention fasting, they can’t go more then a few hrs without food or they get hangry and crazy. I think they’re addicted to carbohydrates and constant snacking has conditioned their bodies to not be metabolically flexible. I suspect it’s harder for their bodies to switch to ketosis/running off of body fat for fuel because they have essentially trained it to expect a constant influx of carbohydrates. When it is suddenly deprived, it doesn’t know what to do. I don’t have this problem because I’ve always preferred to skip breakfast and sometimes lunch because I just feel better that way. I noticed when I was a child if I ate breakfast, I felt like crap all day. Granted, it was mostly simple carbohydrates that were available to me.

My great grandfather was a doctor, his son, my grandfather was a dentist, when my grandfather got sick he fasted. Always said his father told him to starve the virus. He was a tall skinny Dane, he wouldn't eat much during the day but always ate a good supper. Exercised every day. Unfortunately got legionaires disease, drs cut half his lung out and sent part of it to the CDC and the other part to Mayo, starved himself got over it but died of a blood disease like leukemia 8 years later early 1990s. Doctors at that time said when the human body had a bad lung infection or lung disease(tuberculosis, legionaires, histoplasmosis) and the person recovers they most likely end up with leukemia later. After listening more, you spoke of intraviolet light, grandpa layed under a sun lamp daily, he did it for over 40 years So now we wait and see what covid brings us many decades down the human history road.

I have been doing a 16 hour fast, it's easy for eg. If you finish eating at 8.00pm then when you get up skip breakfast then eat lunch at 12.00pm that's it. Avoid processed sugar and HFCS. Eat real food. When you cut out sugar you also stop craving it and feel saciated. If you go to bed at 10.00pm then make sure you finish eating at 6.00pm so you have 4 hours of not eating before bed, you can then eat at 10.00am the next morning, again that's it.

I have definitely reversed my age backwards and am fitter and healthier at age 43 than I was in my 20's I had a very bad allergic reaction to the vaccine and think my prolonged fasts over a two year period got rid of my "long Covid" issues and got rid of the spikes in my system.

Once again, thank you both for an excellent discussion and your tireless work in educating healthcare professionals like me to do better for my patients ❤️🙏💯👌 I am a long hauler with MCAS and POTS symptoms. I started a low histamine diet plus intermittent fasting. I found that initially IF may have temporarily affected my cycle but I believe the problem actually began right after covid. I found that the timing of menses onset, duration, and quality changed. I went 3 weeks late twice and then for about 9 months, very short, light flow. That seems to have resolved and I'm mostly back to baseline. I eat one large meal a day around noon, I snack around 4-5pm, and after that I don't eat. I cannot tolerate coffee or any caffeine though, so I have herbal tea. I do drink juice but I only have about 2-3oz of juice with 12oz water. I also drink low carb body armor electrolyte drinks. My long covid symptoms have significantly improved, I only have a flare up if I eat something high in histamine or with chemicals like polysorbate and sodium benzoate or propylene glycol or monosodium glutamate.

I would like to share a Muslim perspective about fasting that is based on Islam, that may add valuable insight about fasting: 1) we have been ordered to fast at least one full month of the year, as have been ordered the people of the book before us ( Christians and Jews). 2) this obligatory fast is from about 1.5 hours before sunrise till sunset. 3) The fast is from food, drink, sexual relations as well as all sinful conduct. 4) women are required to fast this month also, but stop fasting for the days of the menstrual cycle. They then make those days up anytime during the year. 5) we are encouraged to fast, non obligatory, two days of every week, as well as 3 days just prior to the full moon. 5) we have been strongly advised about the importance of having food or drink prior to the fasting time and to break the fast immediately following sunset and not to exceed this time frame. 5) we have been instructed that the best of fasting is that of David, who used to fast every other day, and above that is not allowed. This is fasting from food and drink during the hours mentioned above. 6) we have been instructed to never connect two days of fasting, ie from food and drink without breaking of the fast between them. This may give guidance to women interested in fasting. I am not sure about the availability of research about the additional benefit from stopping drinks during the day on autophagy, but you feel great after the first few days of difficulty. This should also be taken in context with other instructions regarding eating: 1) one should only eat when hungry, and should not fill his stomach when eating.

Do it for three non-consecutive days a week like Monday, Wednesday, Friday and do it for 12 hours. Isn't 3 non-consecutive days alternate day fasting previously not recommended for women?

Good info. Will def look into IF on women. Carbs are bad: meanwhile long living healthy seniors in Italy, Japan etc. There’s good studies to show nuance to the carbs are bad ideology. Also some cancers don’t do well with ketones so be careful. No one diet for all. I’ve read extensive reports on diets of indigenous pre contact who were in gen far more healthy then Europeans at that time (mid to late 1800s). For some their diet incl oats and corn flour (high in key minerals). Also most ate fish eggs vs bird eggs and muscle meat was seen as lower value. If butter was incl (Scandinavian) it was much higher quality, unpasteurized incl the cheese. Rye was grown and milled to eat as flour.

I’m particularly interested in the migrating motor complex (mmc). Does having herbal tea and coffee with something like Nutpods affect the mmc? Thank you both video and for sharing your knowledge!

And for menopausal women? Are they not effected while fasting since they are not in a reproductive state?

This is somewhat frustrating - What do you do if you're female, can't drink coffee (battle with low iron), and are also lactose intolerant?

So, I am trying to understand this- If someone has a virus and spike proteins; autophagy would aid in the elimination of the virus? In other words: "Feed a cold starve a fever." might have some truth? Thank you for any input.

As Orthodox Christians we are called to fast from meat and dairy more than half of the year. In order to receive Holy Communion we fast 100% (even from water) for at least 12 hours sometime more. It is difficult if you do not work into it, but with time and practice there is no "hunger". Women maintain the body fat they need for their cycles. If the woman is pregnant or breastfeeding there is no fasting.

there are about 20ish different supplements/medications on the FLCCC recommendations for persistent vaccine injury. I would be very concerned for my liver/kidneys ect taking all of this at once. Can anyone recommend a few of these say 5-6 or that have been most effective?

Dr Been, please look into freshly milled wheat berries bread. This provides 41 essential amino acids along with fiber. Some of us are finding extraordinary benefits including reduced cravings.
