Incredibly evil of her to sit there and look those girls in the eye and not even consider the possibility that they are telling the truth. I’m sorry, but I don’t see why two young girls will go through the trouble and the humiliation of going to trial for their grandfather sexually assaulting them if it didn’t happen.
No, she's defending her man to the end and he'll never get out of prison but she's still holding on to him. She's so brainwashed to believe he's innocent and she can't just accept in what he's done. And Sharon is another horrible person to try and make the girls look bad and she believes the whole jury, lawyer and judge was rigged. Sick

Wow, it's so similar to women who find their man is cheating and attack the other woman🤯! I never understood the reasoning behind that because the other woman owes you nothing, he's the one who violated the relationship & is the guilty party. Well it's why dr. Phil accepted her answer that she asked her mom and she would say everything is fine. I didn't know. It's why he started the show to educate people to recognize the signs, know the right way to fix the problem, and to listen to your gut. It's why he does what he does and he understood her answer I didn't know but he recognized the second her child said something she reported it instantly which is better than most parents.

One of those moments where instead of looking at the facts, they believe what the grandmother says and go on the attack. He has gaslight his wife and it wouldn't surprise me if he's still gaslighting her every time she visits. Thankfully his gaslighting stopped working on the victims.
To be honest, if the grandmother was already gone from the picture, I probably would not have even tried for an apology at that point. Personally, I would have said good riddance and figured out a way to work through my trauma without her. This woman is awful towards these girls. Her accomplice in the audience doesn’t seem that much better either.

As a child that was molested by my brother-in-law at 11 years, old denial is something that I still struggle with with my sister. She denies to this day that he could possibly do that of course she had two boys and I was an 11 year-old little girl… my sister and I no longer speak. I have nothing to say to her. She knew who her husband was as a person she was married to him for 12 years she knew who he was when she married him at 16 what grown man marries a 16-year-old that should’ve told her right there what kind of man he was

My mothers solution was putting a lock on my bedroom door! Made me responsible for any situation that occurred after that, because I forgot to lock the door! Many years later, now knowing my mother suffered similar situations, I give her some grace thinking perhaps she thought it was normal? So hard to get my mind around otherwise.
In the full episode the grandma literally told them whenever they went to a restaurant or the bowling alley i think is the example she used, she said "joe always had young girls around and sitting on his lap" and she didn't see ANYTHING wrong with it 😮😮😮😡😡😡
it's so very heartbreaking when she gets up and yells that her *granddaughter* ruined her life... when in truth, it was *her own son* who ruined *all of their lives*... and whether she was really aware or not, she aided and abetted. the anger is so misplaced! and anyone's assertions that these accusations would be revenge for not getting money? are you for real?!? and when Dr Phil so calmly tried to ask that lady if she has taken a moment to at least CONSIDER that she might be wrong, and that she is essentially attacking two victims who were CHILDREN when this was occurring? and she just dug her heels in? you can just imagine that her opinion of those girls must have been poisoned by information provided by the grandmother and/or the perpetrator. the whole thing is just tragic and infuriating.

You could perform lie detectors on all victims and the perpetrator - it’d say non-deceptive for all the victims and deception detected on the perpetrator and she’d say they all rigged it. They will never admit they could possibly be wrong.
