My narcissist was with me for 14 long years. Him and his wife have been separated for 19 years. He still isn't divorced. The first seven of our relationship he was an alcoholic, womanizer and he played me like a fiddle. His mother moved in with him and she is also an narcissist but very nasty to him. We have been done for three months now and I am up and down like a toilet seat. One day I forgive him for MY own sake and the next I want to destroy him. He gave me nothing but his addictions, broken promises and his mother who I nursed. No trips, no flowers, etc. He had to have sex with me everyday and I was too afraid to say no. After sex he'd roll over for me to scratch his fucking back. My ex husband was a bully and a narcissist. 14 years with him too. At least he would take me out to alot of movies and restaurants, cruise to Bahamas and three beautifal children. That's 28 years of my life wasted. I'm trying to forgive my ex be like I did my husband but now I fucking hate him. He loves himself, thinks he's great because he's a firefighter for the city of Toronto, A Captian. Hope he falls down a ladder head first. It might do something good to his brain!

Winter Zoul I found the hardest part is having the victim mentality and not being able to get away from it. Once you realize you're a victim mentally you're in trouble.

Happened to me...cheated with me....cheated on me. Never seen it coming. I was a fool. Both times. Karma caught up with me. It hurt like hell and I deserved all of that pain. I will never see her again and I'm happy with that. I'm trying to be a better person and learn from my mistake.

I think what one needs to look at is was he remorseful over the affair? If not, then he will do it again. And he will definitely cheat on you if he blamed his wife for him cheating!

Brian Tarr, you are so right about that ! THEY, SOME ARE SO SUBTLE. Out in public, they want people to believe they are so nice, but behind close doors they are anything but that. Then when they do bad things to others, people don't believe they did it. They are in Shock, And say but that person was so nice. NO THEY WEREN'T ! THEY PULLED THE WOOL OVER EVERYONES EYES! You have a point that everyone who has done something wrong can change if they truly wanted to. But it takes a certain type of strength in oneself to want to change and some people just don't have it or feel they need to change.

Lol, no shit? If there's history, should have stayed away instead of being the guy that believes "I can change her". There's no changing then, something is never enough, and they'll always project the attention card at you, or something is always "your fault" for why they did. Just crack and stack'em, they're already done.

I agree with you. The once a cheater always a cheater is a very shallow concept. I cheated and I will not get into specifics , but it was not intended to leave her for another woman. I learned from my experience and I will NEVER do anything like that to someone ever again. Intentions play a huge role in " why " someone does it.

If you read what I said at the end , I regret it very much and I would never do that again. Also , no matter what , there are always 2 sides . Also, do you think a person who cheats in a marriage and never gets caught ends up having so much guilt that they feel obliged to confess?

@@GK222_ Yes. It is possible . As far as habitual cheaters , I can not say whether or not the guilt would get to them. It depends on the individual. Cheating is a horrible thing to do and it would take a person to have a very forgiving heart to stay in a marriage like that. However , again , anything is possible. Any relationship can be restored if both people are willing to put the work into it. I have seen it happen:)

Not true. I cheated on someone who I was in an extremely abusive relationship with after being with him for years and trying everything I could to salvage the relationship. He had isolated me from my family, I had no vehicle and hardly ever left the house... I felt I was trapped and I ended up cheating on him. The man I cheated with helped me see that I could in fact get out of the relationship and that I actually deserved much better treatment. I am so thankful for him and quite frankly I’m glad I cheated! Sucks it had to go down that way, but it is what it is. If I hadn’t I would probably still be in the relationship or possibly even dead by now.

+Elisha Foster I would think that the lack of ability to comment might be his attempt to control some of the useless negativity that is rampant on the forums of these videos. Let's face it, going on a show like his is like painting a big old bullseye on your forehead. Second, I don't think he wants to give anyone free access. Dr Phil is a businessman primarily and his show has rights owned by himself and others wanting to profit from the episodes. Giving us "teasers" is like free advertising, makes you want to watch network television. RU-vid has money making capacity as well, just maybe it conflicts with the show's contracts. That's my best guess. :)

If they truly have a changed heart it will show up in their actions. Do not take them at face value! Do not move quickly with these people because they can only pretend for so long, before the REAL them shows up again. Go very slowly with them, and hold them accountable for evening they do and say. Keep your eyes and ears open.

The best thing for you to do is to ask God for wisdom about it. If you have not made Jesus the Lord of your life, do that, then ask God for His insight about that person. Look in Proverbs 3 and 4. It'll tell you all about relationships.

BIGSKY - They justify their actions, and they think rules don't apply to them. They're disordered, sick individuals that can't be cured. It's engrained in their personality. I suspected something was off. I searched the odd behavior years ago and unfortunately didn't find anything. They all seem to be cut from the same narc cloth. They're so predictable that it's scary.
