i told my mom immediately after the summer with my grandma. i was not afraid but no one believed me and so it continued. i wouldnt agree to that for everyone. then continued til age 12. was silent til i had enough and told someone i trusted from school. no one really listens to children that makes them afraid and give up. sometimes on life. i was not coached because no one believed me when i spoke up on my own at 6 until years later.

This is 100% the mom, not the grandma. In my opinion the grandma reacted exactly how you should react when a child says they've been raped. You believe them completely and defend them, and that's what she was doing. The mom was feeding her lies, but she has no idea that she was lying. It makes sense. If I was the grandma, of course I would believe her and I would do everything in my power to help. I'm so glad that the poor girl was not assaulted in that way, but this arguing and coaching and lies have damaged her. The mom has abused her by doing this.

They do wish it was true. She wants to punish the ex for banging someone he shouldn't have, not his daughter. The grandmother was duped by the mother, and is furious. Rightly so, even though her rage is based on a lie. Anyone would be furious to learn their grandchild had be raped and was still walking around.

THey need to change the laws, and people who falsley accuse someone of something like this, if it can be proven without a doubt it was false. they should face the amount of time the person would of got for those charges and have to face any life altering things that come with it!

Being sexually abused as a 5 year old . I was terrified to tell anybody. It was so awful to have to talk about it. It made me feel ashamed and embarrassed. Idk about this child but I was so scared to even say a word.

I was 4 when it happened to me....I had a similar experience though I felt uncomfortable and distrusting in family for the longest time. I can only really talk about with my mother.

I knew it was garbage the moment I found out the various doctors never listed abuse on the records. If a doctor saw signs of abuse, they have to record and report it by law. That woman needs to be locked up

The father is not a likeable person but that doesn't mean he is a child rapist and after seeing his genuine reaction to his vindication from the lies of a jaded pill popping ex lover and her reaction of anger and not relief from the news that her daughter was not raped by her father tells me all I need to know. The father is innocent and the "mother" is guilty of several felonies.

I truly hope this man gets custody of her as she really needs someone stable in her life. This is from a person that went threw a situation like this, but I was raped at the age of 5 and it took forever to get over it. I didn't date anyone until after high school because of this happening to me. Get this child away from her mother asap. She needs someone stable in her life. God help her.

2:58 with the upmost respect, she's misunderstood. dr Phil isn't saying that the mother has coached her daughter, he's saying that the daughter doesn't know what she's talking about and she is just saying things that to her is non sense, but the mother thinks de Phil is implying that she coached, so its really no ones fault, the father did nothing and the mother just assumed it happened (which is a bit questionable but can u blame her?)

Agree. That was a misunderstanding. He said well rehearsed, but a small child can totally do that. If they tell a story and it gets a big reaction, they will repeat the story over and over for that reaction, occasionally adding new and interesting details that they thought up. Dr Phil is right. It's a fun game for her, that gets her lots of attention. She has no idea the gravity of what she is saying.

my dads goal in life was using me and my brothers to get back at my mom. he would always prepare us on any visists with people in the law. hed tell us exactly what to say and made us afraid if we didnt. so much so that me and my brothers would go against each other if we had to. it was horrible. so i know she told her daughter what to say. disgusting and messing her kid up for life with a lifetime of trauma

My brother spent 7 horrible yrs in prison because the grampa of his stepdaughter convinced her my bro had molested him.thousands of dollars with lawyers,docs saying its not possible what they accussed him off(raping her since she was 4,she still was a virgin at 13).none of that mattered,she got on the stand and said he molested me..my brother who was a small,frail man was beaten,raped,abused in prison.he lost his mind,never recovered..
