Before I started I had a horrible, whole grain, seed oil, ultra processed diet. All in the name of health. I did paleo for a couple of months, then keto for a month or two and finally full carnivore. I had zero problems, or side effects, at all. No "keto flu", no digestive upsets. Nothing. That was 90 pounds (and counting) ago.

It seems to me that the people that struggle the most on carnivore are the ones that go straight to carnivore from the SAD. The people like me that went low carb, real food no processed foods, no added sugar type diet seem to adjust better. I also started doing intermittent fasting, including prolonged fasts before carnivore. Once I finally wrapped my head around the fact that carnivore is the proper human diet, I was ready and had no problems making the switch.

500 lbs lost doing the carnivore diet! I come from a morbid obese family. Carnivore has given mr “the off switch” I never had. I was broken, failed many diets, failed lap band surgery. Genetics are the same, but thanks to carnivore I am healthier at 52 and look better than I did in my 20s. Fruit snd vegies triggers cravings for me. Carnivore works for people like me that are broken. Food freedom at last. Thank you Dr Baker ❤

@@Pressingontoperfection Just a little warning, working out improves your health in many wonderful ways and it's important to pair it with weight loss especially because it protects from losing muscle while losing weight and dropping fat, but working out itself will not help much for the purpose of losing weight. Cardio will a little bit, but strength training almost not at all. I say it's 90% diet and cutting the incoming calories because it's super easy to go sweat and work for two hours and wipe out all the caloric expenditure you just did with a single snicker's bar. Better to focus on incoming calories if you're trying to cut.

Of course, a vegetarian diet is the same as a diet eating meat. Both diets are unhealthy and polluting your blood and making red blood cells sticking together in a coating of saturated fat and cholesterol. Both diets are abusing animals and destroying our planet earth. Mixing animal products and veggies is the worst diet as a polluted body is no longer to digest healthy veggies. So eating only meat is just avoiding the symptoms and still polluting your blood. But you can feel temporary relief not longer having to deal with indigestible veggies.

Crazy amount of bloating and very gassy all the time. Carnivore diet is the only one I avoided cause I’ve been programmed to believe meat was toxic and very acidic for the body. I was at the supermarket a couple of days ago. I went to get some heavy cream and there was a woman standing there taking a pint of heavy cream that had carrageenan in it. I interceded and said "Hey, this other cream over here is better it doesn't have carrageenan in it." She asked what is carrageenan and I explained. She wasn't familiar, she thanked me and she got heavy cream without any additives. She saw that it was slightly more expensive but I explained what carrageenan does to us and why it's better to not eat it. She was open to learning and I spoke for a couple of minutes, not too long and made a couple of additional recommendations. It felt good to help a stranger. Hopefully she takes the breadcrumbs and learns more and it is beneficial to her and her family.

Heavy wiping cream needs a theme song all its own And never should it have carrageenan from seaweed as a thickener etc. Polysorbate 80 Don't consume that garbage if you can help it I think eating raw cow patties would be more nutritious than some of what corporations wanna sell us .anyone ever heard of codex alimetarious ? It's a unilateral or universal Agreement to not provide any nutritious food to the public at any price They adulterate irradiate and or poison herbicide pesticide pasteurize as infinitum But they don't admit the crime They lie at every level Much like politicians and the courts Who coincidentally will protect them like a baby formula producer The world is crazy If the FDA warns you not to eat something It means there is nutrition in it !!!! If they say it's safe and effective It's poisonous and will make you sick or kill you quick They don't discriminate but kill all colors creeds economic bases religions etc. nor incriminate anyone guilty You must learn to read between the lines or be fed to the lions

I ran into the same situation involving yogurt and cottage cheese in the dairy aisle. I started talking to a woman and showing her the different labels and comparing three different brands. The employee stocking the dairy shelf wandered over and listened in. Yes - people have no idea what they’re eating. Before departing, I left them with my favorite motto and it’s one that keeps me on the wagon. It’s worked for years! Any food that is linked to a television commercial should probably not be consumed! 😮

It's horrible that no doctor or nurse or anyone who takes your blood, measures your blood lipids or sends you to do bloodwork talks to you about the fasting beforehand, what to or not to eat. Nothing. I simply got sent from the doctor's office straight to the lab at 8AM and my lipids came back like I was fit for the ER. Triglycerides 3x what I usually have, HDL 30% lower, LDL 30% higher... It took me a days worth of Googling to find out that's what happens when you've had three burger patties and eggs with bacon the night before. Nobody asked me anything, they just almost fainted and scolded me on how I've been eating. I did a 24 hour fast that same day and went the next morning to do the test again and paid for it - trigs back to normal, HDL up, LDL down. It's shameful, they just give you shit for what you do to help yourself, yet they ask or do nothing but prescribe a painkiller or a statin or say "Eat less meat and fat." Motherfu... I just LOST 64 pounds eating meat and fat and got my trigs down and HDL up, f... off.

Fasting is what you normally don't do. So wouldn't the blood tests you took while NOT fasting be more accurate to what your real day-to-day diet and blood is?
@SarcastSempervirens
@SarcastSempervirens 4 месяца назад
@@uowebfoot I eat once a day, so my blood isn't filled with lipids all day long. After a meal it gets absorbed, transported around by blood and then used as energy and/or stored. After that, since I don't eat carbs, I use the stored fat and my body is releasing and using what it needs, it doesn't just dump a bunch of fat from my belly into the bloodstream. That's the accurate state of my organism through the day.

@@uowebfoot Those tests results are designed to be done fasting only. Each time those tests are ordered you should be instructed exactly how many hours to fast. They are looking for a base line. You can only get that with everything out of your system. I once mentioned to the Dr that I had a sip of diet tea & he made me do the test over. Your Dr , his office are all remiss & frankly sloppy in their care if you have not had proper instructions prior to testing, Your lab personal should verify you are fasting before they draw you. @MrCiaranm
@MrCiaranm 2 месяца назад
The initial weight he is losing is water, the carnivore diet has no carbs and your body needs water to store the excess carbs. The good news is, his body will deplete the glycogen stores and need to fuel itself, thats when it will start to metabolize the fat stores. I hope he sticks with it, anything is healthier than being 300+ lbs.

I also have fibrcystic breast disease and a cyst on each ovary. My Obgyn put me on progesterone to keep my uterine lining thin. I just recently did some research on this supposedly bio identical progesterone and it has soy in it. I should not have soy with my current hormone issues. Due to being allergic to poultry and lactose I have not had dairy products, poultry meats or eggs since starting. I tried to eat a boiled egg and my eyes swelled badly. So my diet is pretty plain. I have been 31 days on Carnivore, won't lie, i have nibbled on chips, etc, felt guilty. Never went overboard! 2nd week, I was having cramps and fatigue, and I wasn't feeling great. I've pasted a month, and I've lost 3kgs, nothing too dramatic. I've wanted to feel good inside, with my IBS and GERD. That part has worked for me. My tummy was jammed up with fiecies. I was constipated until the 3rd week, my goodness. I went to the toilet and was amazing. I feel like a new person! Thankful. I am at the same weight, only have lost 3kgs. But overall, I am happy with my inner self. Problems have become less problematic for me. I've had 8 babies, 38 years old, and my tummy is at its greatest. I can fit a skirt around my waist properly. Weight will come off later on, but my health is on pont. Butter, eggs, meat, and sea salt on a poor budget. I can't afford to eat tremendously like our youtubers lol with a pressure cooker or an air fryer 😅 I eat what makes me feel good and when I feel hungry. And so far, the stomach is healing.

I love the carnivore diet because I have abused my metabolism for more than 60 years and it's helping me to heal. However, I found some data showing that back in the 1930's people hardly worked out, they ate more sugar and carbs than today and obesity was a mere 10%. Average daily intake was almost 3000 kcal (if you believe such measures) and even desk clerks were slim, so I primarily blame the ultra processed food combined with the industrial oxidized polyunsaturated seed oils. What do you think?

Yes folks say meat is expensive. It is if you want to eat 2 + lbs grass fed grass finished ribeyes that run $24 + a pound. Your best cost is hamburger which can be fixed different ways. Also look for a roast on sale, flat iron steaks, stew meat on sale. If the meat is too lean add some beef tallow. I personally like 4 ounces fat per pound or in my burger I will get a minimum 80/20 or 75/25. A slow cooker works wonders. Then throw in a periodic ribeye or New York strip.

I found buying in bulk is the most economical way to do carnivore. In my country you can easily save $10 per kilo if you are willing to cut your own steaks, and then freeze the surplus till needed. Yes, it's more expensive up front - but you are saving in the long run and perhaps buying cuts that you might not be able to afford to do regularly otherwise.

I started carnivore on Dec 27 2023 because I was eating the same as her but feeling crap and overweight so I asked God to help me get my health back in order, what on earth do I eat? And yes God does exist 😊 and then miraculously Dr Ken Berry,Dr Anthony Chaffee and of course Dr Shawn Baker popped up on my RU-vid feed.. I thought no way am I going to listen to these guys and tapped on dislike video,not interested, everything to get them off my RU-vid feed.. But they kept coming.. Then Kerry from Healing Humanity showed up and the story he had was about a man called Shawn who was morbid obese and very sick and his transformation was amazing just eating meat, butter, eggs and bacon.. The information I learned from all of them has changed my life.. I lost 25 kg , mind is sharp,no discomfort or illnesses what so ever.. I just decided to do what they were suggesting, just do it for 30 days and see the difference.. I dove in without hesitation and now I'm well and I hope my house mate will decide to do the same.. God bless you all with wonderful health and happiness ❤

Recommend working on a low-fat/low sugar diet and increase daily exercise. All additional labs are in good range. Follow-up as scheduled. I have been on the Carnivore diet since July 1st 2023 I have also lost a total 20 lbs.

Low fat, low sugar? LDL 145? Are you vegan?
@Epona52
@Epona52 2 месяца назад
There's nothing wrong with your LDL . . . not that long ago, anything under 300 was considered normal. Then, the drug companies introduced statins, and shortly after that, the recommended level dropped to 200! Hmmm - sounds like creating more customers, not a real health measure! Plus, the whole LDL narrative was based on a flawed study put out by Ancel Keys - who was paid by the sugar industry to discredit fat. Low fat is a good way to shortchange the body's need for cholesterol - for hormones, cell walls, brain function, nervous system, etc., etc., etc.!

As far as there being no long-term studies, whether or not a carnivore is actually healthy and sustainable we have literally thousands of years of human evolution while we were Hunter gatherers that say that carnivore is healthy and sustainable. The Inuit are one example of an entire Group of people who have been eating almost 100% strictly carnivore for thousands of years and they are some of the healthiest people on earth.

If the carnivore diet works for you, that’s wonderful. I feel much better on a mostly plant-based diet, and my blood panel greatly improves. I wish I could tolerate more meat, because I do enjoy it, but I almost had a heart attack the last time I had meat on a regular basis. That doesn’t mean that my diet is superior or being carnivore or keto is any less beneficial to someone. It’s just my experience. Im just glad that I have a diet that works for me and that I am on my way to healing my heart and body.

Pepsico, Proctor & Gamble, General Mills, etc, are massive food companies that fund political campaigns and in return receive huge incentives, kickbacks, tax breaks, and positive publicity. Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Moderna are massive pharmaceutical companies that also fund campaigns, get kickbacks, and government funding for commercials. Both the food and pharmaceutical companies, in concert with government, get to fund the literature on subjects of nutrition and healthcare that are taught from K-12 to the highest levels of academia.

I'll decide that for myself, as they continue to make their moves to try and take away are choices of what we put in our body, I believe it's going to get to the point where are we have to go to war to protect what we choose. Having stage 4 cancer and thriving for 7 years I am always researching my diet to make sure I can be the best that I can be daily for life quality. Ive tried vegan, vegetarian, and the past 4 years keto to a degree. I di feel better on Keto but I want to feel even better. I read that cancer cells need 4 times the glucose than normal body cells. Cancer cells cannot use ketones , normal body cells can. that is really a simplified explanation. Maybe Carnivore will work better ? Day 4 and I feel ok. My goal is quality of life not necessarily quantity. I want to FEEL good. Wish me luck

I eat super low fat protein, 66 to 70% super lean protein, 16% carbs, 17% fat or less. I quit beef completely. My remnant cholesterol went from 19 to 9, supposed to be under 4.

If you want to know the long term affects of the carnivore diet on health, research the health of the Plains Indians (Lakota, Dakota, Crow,. Mandan, Kiowa, Osage etc…). Their descendents will know about the health or their grandparents and great grandparents. The Plains Indians traditionally relied on the Buffalo for their sustenance, until they were forced into reservations when the Calvary massacred the Buffalo.
