Thank you sooo much ladies!! I had full hysterectomy at 42, I’m 61 now & still lifting heavy weights. My concern is optimizing muscle & proper nutrition… help 😳
This is such a great interview. Thank you Inside Tracker! I love blood testing/checking in the app each day, making changes for a healthier me. I hadn't known of Stacy Sims before but will def look for more of her. As a 58 year old woman who lifts heavy and is an ultra runner I am still building muscle. I've learned that I need to EAT more, concentrate on more protein than in my younger years. Because I have been running 25 years the muscle and endurance was built before the menopause came @ 40 w/ full radical hysterectomy/no HRT I've been able to maintain the distance, lifts and muscle. I've recently added faster marathon training vs long slow ultra training for a change in intensity. Glad to hear resistance training can counter the long miles. Thanks for all of the information.
Thanks for clarifying the time being 2 to 3 months from increasing food for it to balance out. So relieved, as I am freaking out about the weight gain. Looking for to seeing the results in a few months.
Such a great podcast. Many thanks. Read Roar when it first came out and it blew my mind - I've been competing against boys my entire working life and trying to train like them. Wish I had known earlier as I feel life would have been stronger. Look forward to the updates and now pushing the Healthy Athlete in Menopause (life!). More power to your elbows whoop whoop!
Love this video! Do I need to be in a calorie deficit at 60 years old? I work out 30 mins per day about 6 days per week. Also do fasting about 14 hrs daily.
