@Casey Muller That’s nice, I have Been diagnosed with a cancer and I will definitely need her help and would also want to know how to get in touch with her. I hope she cures other sickness also?
Thank you Danita for bringing this beautiful knowledgable lady for a podcast. Stacey is so down to earth and is not afraid to share her brilliant knowledge. Thank you Danica and Stacy!🙏❤️❤️
Thank you for such a beautiful and informative interview! 💕 She's validating what I'm feeling now at 43. It's just different now, and that can be a fun new adventure for those of us who crave lots of activity. ✨️ We've got this!
Thank you for posting this video. I always appreciate knowing more of who and what we all are. I was thinking this past week how simple a male is. Just understanding that one of the most important parts of our society has little to no real information that isn't clouded by patriarchal BS just blows my mind. Also it gives me a sense of how complicated each individual is. I think I have a greater sense of compassion after hearing this.
Absolutely brilliant conversation. I also have recently given up competing in CrossFit as it was taking a toll on my body and my body fat levels were the highest they have ever been. As a man in his late 40’s I completely underestimated the effects on my hormones and recovery.
Thank you very much to both of you! I can so relate to your story, Danika! used to be a competitive athlete, who after retiring needed to get her " fix" playing all sorts of sports, intensely, while apparently not eating enough, running a start up business, getting a divorce and moving to another country...:) I wish I discovered Dr Sims earlier, before I regained hormonal balance through experimentations... It would have been much easier. This information is priceless! Thank you❤
Very eye opening! The fact that breast implants were based on male data says it all! Glad to hear things are changing. I tried for years to reduce my weight through diet and exercise and only ended up being bigger and feeling exhausted, now I understand why! Great interview, thank you!
Excellent podcast! Thank you both so much for the great information and intelligent, woman centric conversation. Very much appreciated the clarity on Creatine!
I got rhabdomyolysis twice from poorly structured CrossFit workouts. I was in the hospital for five days after a CrossFit workout. I was 59 years old at the time.
Danica, love your podcast! I watched a video of someone today that would be an excellent guest on your show. His name is Father Sean Olaoire. He lives in California. He's has a Ph.D in Transpersonal Psychology, he's a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and he's a Spiritual Director of a non- denominational community called "Companions on the Journey". He has written five books and he's a co-author of a sixth book. I loved hearing what he had to say. I think you will like him too. He was a guest on a RU-vid video of a show called "Budda at the Gas Pump". Just passing on the information. Do with it what you want. Have a good day! All my best!!!❣
I follow Dr Mindy Pelz and Autumn Bates but it seems this doctor doesn’t think fasting helps women stay lean. My take away is that protein is key but fasting could harm women? Is fasting for longer periods of time good at any time in the month? I find women get mixed messages or a lot of diversity of messages, so it’s a bit confusing 🤔
I have learned so much from dr. Mindy! Love her knowledge ❤ fasting isn’t for everyone just like anything else out there but it sure does make me feel alive 😊
Dr Stacy Sims speaks a lot for pretty active women, I haven't listened to this podcast yet, but have been following her for a long time, so assuming her advice is similar to what I have learnt before. If you exercise a lot, fasting isn't a good idea, you're right, protein is important. As Kamilla said fasting isn't for everyone, the best thing to do is look at your lifestyle and if you're exercising a lot and not eating enough then you may run into problems. You're right there are a lot of mixed messages, I think it's important to learn what works for you as an individual. I find that exercising, eating enough, cooking from scratch, getting enough sleep, and meditating to keep stress levels down works for me, but we all need to find our own path 💜
I love fasting (when I should in the month) but I want to find the balance so I don’t lose muscle mass. It seems that then it would be really hard to stay in shape and feel good. Thanks for your perspective 😊
@Christine Patterson from what I think I know about fasting & women's health, it's a bad idea. Yes, you will lose muscle mass with fasting outside of your normal circadian rhythm (meaning an extended fast, past the 'normal feed/fast daily rhythm. AND, this is muscle mass that, once lost, cannot be regained in an older female (peri-menopausal, an/or post...), who no longer have 'youth hormone' levels to help with 'natural' muscle hypertrophy. Imo, Dr. Mindy Peltz is way off target about women & fasting. Her protocols are not study-based, because there ARE no relevant studies (on women) to support her hypotheses.
My takeaway is if you want to do that then 10-12 hours, and do it by eating your last meal of the day earlier and no snacking before bed. The important part is giving your body that full break between last meal of day and first meal of the morning, so you can fully benefit from your sleep (circadian rhythm, rest and recovery).
Struggling with fatigue and overstimulation is a huge one for me. At the age of 45 I struggle with my weight I’m also on antidepressants, mood, stabilizer, and anxiety medication. Definitely going to try that creatine see if that helps in the morning through the day. As always, fabulous, podcast Danica!!❤❤
None of the meds are good for you. They are actually making it worse. Find a natural doc. My bff was on that. She weaned off went to a natural doc had her hormones done and she’s great now about 3/4 months in.
Is there a preference to the creatine? Will doing the Sprint Interval Session and the HIIT reduce my breast size. They get in the way and slow me down.
What about us that are not athletes and not in gym. Menopausal but have hrt and very good nutritional proper timing and content plus supplements. Does this regime adjust to us slow people who walk and swim
Very informative this helps me understand why I get the shakes when I try to work out on empty stomach and I need to to accept that I am not in my 20s when I was a running fool 😂thank you Danni for great topics
I've now heard a few professionals say that intermittent fasting is good however women shouldn't do long fast windows. Just need to watch their stress and regulate nutrition and exercise.
I enjoyed this and learned a lot. I would love a follow up where she talks about fat. Or you talk to someone else about fat…This could give an impression that fats aren’t important. I know a balance of essential fatty acids are important and my intuition says fats good for you…in moderation
Jeeze! Put Danica back in the damn race car for take 2! I think she’s got the 🔥. She (you) and Susie Wolff could do an all woman 24 Le Mans team and let’s see who can swing it with the gloves off!! 🤙
Omg this is exhausting. I need everything reduced down to like 5 basic rules. I don’t want to have to start a career in exercise physiology to figure out how to eat and work out 😭
For a podcast directed towards women, I personally found the delivery of this information very masculine. Women are highly intuitive but like a muscle, if not used it diminishes. Focusing on strengthening our intuition enables us to always be in communion with our physical form, which will always tell us what it needs. As we are all unique, science always fails to offer information that benefits us individually. Through muscle testing or similar you will know if a particular supplement or food is right for you or not but your intuition will always trump information coming from an outside source. Additionally, Dr Sims cited two things that have caused a lot of harm to women (and men and children) over the generations - the WHO and jabs - so I don't have a lot of trust in this information that she is sharing but thanks for interviewing a variety of guests, Danica. It is all good food for thought.
Bang on!! The WHO that Gates owns 60 percent of is a criminal organization hoping to own world citizens by May 2024 and give us any knew quacksine available. She lost me there.
Iodine bound to palm oil check into it and its effects on literally the whole body only 5 mins as i write this hopefully it gets mentioned the palm oil key for maximum absorption.
I am 55 years old, post menopausal and have osteopenia. I’ve heard that caffeine leaches calcium and therefore I should stay away from any caffeine. What are your thoughts, @drstacysims ?? 🙌🏻💜
Totally agree. as a nurse, I never saw a pt die OF convid but have seen many friends and family die and be harmed by the quacksine. Sorry can't call it a vaccine bc it isn't one. It is a failed experiment created to do what it's doing not what they said it would.
Caffeine doesn't 'give' energy. Caffeine kicks Adenosine (sleep molecule) out of its receptors. Thus making the individual feel more 'awake'. But the idea that caffeine makes one more energetic is an illusion. Adding to that illusion is the fact that caffeine is also dopaminergic to neuronal circuits. Dopamine is a motivator, so the increased dopamine makes one feel more motivated to move (rather than relax). It feels energizing, but caffeine does nothing to increase ATP stores in the body (the body gets energy from ATP, for the most part).
Under no circumstances should one say that women, or men, need this or that. It is an individual based diagnosis, and the fact is, if one is insulin resistant, they cannot access their fat stores, and THAT'S why the energy level dips, and as far as thyroid is concerned, there are many issues that arise as a result of the standard american diet, that don't manifest themselves until years down the road, so blaming the carnivore diet isn't correct. However, the keto diet can be dangerous, especially if one isn't getting enough fat, eating keto crap which is still ultraprocessed garbage packed with junk (nuts, and sugar substitutes), and green leafies are VERY HIGH in oxalates which affect the entire system, and the thyroid is one which is really affected.
So , she knows what a woman actually is 🤔 ? 😂😂😂 today, there is actually the suppression of women, transsexual are taking over the women sport, the women fashion, the women rights, the women beauty contest. Women are so lost , 95% of them chasing 10% of what they define as the cream of men ! I want you to make a podcast about it, unless you made one already so please link it to me . I love your podcast ❤
Personally I love the way she facilitated this interview! She checks for understanding, asks for clarification, and gets the maximum amount of info from dr sims in such a clear way. I found this podcast to be very comprehensive.
