So as legend goes Daryl Zanuck calls up Z asking for a favor. Zanuck says Zee it's Zee need ya baby. Zanuck proceeds to say that he cooked up a potential rock opera for Broadway! Zanuck pitches the idea of a rock opera mixing Yentl with the Ed Gein story called Yentl(goes mental). Doc is interested but the catch is Doc is asked to see if the Chuck Manson will do the music. Well one ride to Spahn Ranch later and Z is stopped by Squeeky Fromme who says booblah you know this is our crazy time of the year...rather ironic. She relents...Chuck says I'll do the lyrics but Hamlisch has to do the music. DEAL! Well the thing is done and is to open in Wisconsin at some nursing home centers there...open way off Broadway...it slays...well really it did most died of shock! It closes before it opens we all laugh and have a wrap party at Benhannas in San Francisco...of course Chuck stiffed the bill...that rouge lol
