I agree this was 30 years ago. Howard was 39 years old. Still looks the same jet black hair still colors it but boy this show was raw Negro and all this other shit. This is when the show had edge and I’ll tell you I can’t believe the money he makes and I can’t believe the money he has made over the years he doesn’t stand down. Can you imagine getting about four in the morning trying to listen to Metallica or Jennifer Aniston interview at 6 o’clock in the morning yeah OK.
I’ve just noticed there using the shure sm7b mic that’s the one all the pod casters use, I always thought that was a new mic just come out in the last ten years, turns out it was made in 1973 weird. I liked Gilbert, apparently the voice he used wasn’t his real voice it was like a more deep voice, if you RU-vid Gilbert Gottfried real voice there’s a vid somewhere of what he really sounds like, Larry David’s the same his voice is much deeper than what you hear on curb, and the same for Richard Pryor his voice was way deeper than what it sounded like in his act.
Gilbert is the best! Always funny, even when he isn't. If you haven't seen his art prints for sale on his site from his family go check them out. They are very good and unique. Stern did Gilbert wrong in the end. Gilbert was a gem and King Schnoz didn't get it and somehow felt insulted by Gilbert bc he misunderstood a couple jokes after the GEICO crap happened. RIP Gilbert Gottfried!
It's what was considered racial humor, not racist. You used to be able to make light of all walks of people, without hate and that would be called racial humor. It's all labeled racist today though. There is a distinct difference. Look at much of the old John Pinette stuff too for that type of humor. It's also the reason you don't really see Rob Schneider anymore. That's basically all he did. Labeled racist now.
