Yannick, you're basically Director of Scouting for my Fantasy team. Much respect for putting your money where your mouth is instead of taking the easy route and just following the herd. Love the channel, thanks for all your hard work. Learned a lot in the past months. Tristen Robbins is an absolute beauty.
I really like that you do your own rankings instead of a "mock draft" type video, you really provide an isolated view of each prospect without trying to guess at where you think they might end up
I am fascinated by this list. I don't pretend to be a judge of your work, only I also had doubts about the ranking of Raymond and Lundell (too high) as well as Perreault and Mercer (too low). My pleasant surprise is the absence of a player from this list: Seth Jarvis, has he blown up? Or I rather think he's cracking the top 10 👍. Excellent work👏
I definitely agree with you on Reichel. He's a super underrated prospect, and I wouldn't be surprised to see him go even higher than your ranking. He's got some of the best hockey sense, works hard, and has yet to grow into his body. Could easily be a steal a few years from now. I am surprised on the Mercer take. Especially coming on the heels of defending drafting Greig high based on what he'll become and not what he is today, worrying about Mercer showing signs of fatigue surprises me. I expect him to improve on his endurance with better conditioning. I've got a lot of respect for your work though. All-in-all, this is shaping up to be a very interesting and well-defended ranking.
It's not a mock draft, though. I think if you ask him which team would pick Raymond or Lundell, he puts them in top-10, top-12 maybe. This is simply his own evaluation of players.
I get that DD isn't trying to make a prediction about where each player will be picked, he's trying to project what their value will be in four to five years. It will be interesting to see how well he did going against the grain of popular scout opinion.
Lundell is far from a lock for the top 10 and I have a hard time remembering any defence-first forward being picked in the top 10. Couturier turned out to be one of those but in his draft year I don't think he looked like it.
@@DraftDynasty1 i wouldn't mind picking lundell for the habs if he drops like that. he clearly is the better version of Danault. One thing that really is hard to evaluate this year is if teams will try to take prospects by what are missing or best player available, base on their scouts evaluation. For me Gulhe is more towards the end of 10's like where mercer was, he has some upside but I am sure some teams will take the risk. I think Gunler is a better overall player then Raymond, base on what I saw. Btw I didn't see Amirov where does he stands in your views?
Stützle scores 34 points in the DEL, Reichel 24. Stützle ranked on 2nd overall. When i compare Reichel to Stützle, then Reichel is a top 10-15 pick. Reichels Hockey IQ is unbelievable. Reichel is one of the completest Player in this Draft.
Reichel at 11 is legit! I’ve always liked him. I could see him really turning out and being a major steal. He seems like he will be such a quality power forward after a couple of years playing in the DEL.
@@DraftDynasty1 with 3 picks they can gamble on high risk / High reward player and mix safer picks. I'm sure Lots of GM/Scouts would like to be in that position
While I personally disagree, so much respect to you for putting Raymond at 12. You clearly watch a lot of these players game and I appreciate making your own rankings rather than blindly following where others may have someone.
And here I thought that Quinn, Lundell, Jarvis, or Guhle would be a lock for the Preds at #11. Man I have no clue now. I personally think Lundell belongs where you put him. I'm not looking for a shutdown center in the top half of the first round.
Great work once again! Reichel in a Habs jersey 😍... If we stay put at 16 OA, Reichel would be my pick for the habs! Raymond at 12th is a bit harsh I think...
I'll try to get my hands on some more recent games on Raymond and see if I need to bump him a little. It's definitely harsh. Really did not like his DIVA attitude when he was sent back to SuperElit
german fan here! i love your ranking of reichel! i watched him all year and waited for your scouting report to see if you are legit! well... you are! i tried to come up with a similar winger in the nhl to compare him with, but when you said, that he basically plays like a center i figured out who he reminds me of. you think kk because of the similar development curve, i agree, however, when it comes to his style of play, i do not see kk, i see a lot of toews!
DD, I like your rankings on Gunler, Reichel, and well I'm not sure about his flaws (didn't see him play enough) I like the direction you went on Raymond. Looking forward to seeing your top ten.
I like the fact that you don't look at every other list to build your's. BUT I think that Lundell is very underated. We keep talking about his offensive upside and no, he won't be a guy who will have highlights goals like Perfetti where he breaks the def all by his self. But he stills manage to get 28 points in the Liiga at 18 years old and to get 4 points in the IIHF at 16 years old. I think he would be a 65 points guy by doing every thing right, with his hockey IQ and his shot. Also I think that you underestimate the vallue of a great two ways center. I would pick Couturier in my team a head of Scheifele, Monahan, Duchene, Larkin, Kuznetsov or Aho. But I still think you do a great job !
The more I watch and read about Raymond, I am always left questioning if he has the commitment to play all around consistently good games. He seems like a risky player to take high but he is a really good playmaker when he has the right energy around him and a pretty good shooter when he wants to be. That’s why I think why he looked so great when he was paired with Holtz as a trusty sniper. I do think he has a ton of up side if he keeps improving on his work ethic, consistency and all around game, but I see why you could rank him at 12 but I wouldn’t say lower than 13 because of his potential.
Easy Draft Dyno. I hopping for Reichel late 1st for Sens and Robbins in the second. Your going to screw it all up. Great take and WOW can’t wait for top 10👍
2nd round in the draft will be pretty crazy as well. It's a really fun draft. Bunch of players that are really close skillwise betweent #30-50. Probably a few homerun pick in that range.
@@DraftDynasty1 Totally agree with that assessment; Im pretty psyched detroit has 3 2nds this year. This seems like one of those drafts where half of the top 10 in a redraft will be 20+ picks
I don't agree with Jack Quinn being a top 10 player this year. Robins at 17 as one of the oldest in the draft while not doing much in D-1 has me a bit skeptical. I like Reichel, but 11 is pushing it for me. Overall, though - great list. Always enjoy watching the videos. One guy who I have top 30 (actually top 20) is Zion Nybeck. Would have loved to see him crack your list! Excited to see how high you've got Jarvis. Keep up the good work.
It's hard not to put Quinn in the top 10. He can score in so many ways.. (Deflections, breakaways dekes, snipes, rebounds, etc) The facts that he scored so many different types of goals makes me confident it will translate at the next level. He's not bad a all defensively too.
@@DraftDynasty1 His ability to score and do it multiple ways is certainly impressive. I know he didn't play with Rossi and they weren't involved in many of the same goals - but I do have some major concerns about how inflated Quinn's numbers could be. He hasn't really been a very dynamic point producer at any level prior to this year, and now he's doing very well on a stacked 67's team with great coaching. I know you value the progression rate, but this rapid "progression" to me looks like it could be a product largely of his situation. I wrote my thesis on predicting player performance, and his assists per game rate in the OHL being at just 0.6 is quite worrisome for me (as it's one of the best predictors of NHL success). Throw in the fact that he's one of the oldest players in the draft... and there's quite a few red flags overall. I suspect his floor is a lot lower than most scouts would expect, while his ceiling is no doubt quite high given his goal scoring talent. But I think Quinn is a riskier pick than believed by most.
Marat Khusnutdinov....I'm telling you...this kid will be good. Personally, I have him at #14 on my list. He won't get taken there...but whoever takes him will get the steal of the draft (hoping the Rangers snag him at #22)
Im keeping a close eye on him. Watched the 2 games last week. Hes getting better. I just wish he was a bit taller and bigger to be able to play a shutdown role
@@DraftDynasty1 I do agree he does need to get bigger and stronger. He may take 3+ seasons to get here, but if he hits his ceiling, we will look back on this draft and wonder how so many teams passed. He is the type of player the Rangers need
Man it would be a steal for ottawa with their New York islander pick, where that be at 28-31. Most likely 28, then i really hope they draft Lukas reichel, if he be another turris player in 3 or 4 years then that's exciting. I know Dorian said he has been scouting Germany and hopefully they seen this guy play a few times to say they'll draft him if he slides that far
Seeing that Rodion Amirov didn't make your top 30, in What range would you rank him? I was really high on him and was hoping for the habs to pick him at 16 if Jarvis was no longer available. For the second round I was really hoping the habs would be able to land at least two of: Robins, Rashevsky, Reichel, wiesblatt ( fingers cross for Rashevsky because he's one of my favorite to watch).
Just outside the first round for Amirov. He doesn't really do it for me. You can catch Rashevsky games in the VHL from last week on RU-vid. (he's playing well :P)
Lundell is a future Selke winner, he should be in the top 10 Raymond should also be top 10, I wouldn’t ever have him lower than 8. He got 13th forward minutes in frolunda because that team is stacked so he didn’t really get a chance to improve. Also these preseason games are probably gonna change your opinion, he’s gotten better at getting to high danger scoring areas instead of staying on the perimeter But for what it’s worth I have Jarvis at 11
Raymond was 17 playing against men on a very good Frolunda team. He was on the 4th line. If he would have been playing in the OHL against players his own age, you might have him top three. I’ll bet he will change a lot of minds this year.
It's my personal ranking not a mock draft. I also think he will go top 7-8. I was not able to watch him on those preseason games. My view might change if he really did improve a lot during the break.
With your first video rankings I thought Bordeleau was going to be in this one, kind of disappointed he didn't make the cut of your first round, I have him at 22, very underrated. Is there a reason in particular he got bumped to secound round ? Thx !
If you look in the NHL currently. Look at the best Centers 5ft9 or below. You will quickly realise it's a very short list. Very hard to make it at that size. I still like him but the bust potential is high. I think he could do really well in Europe pro hockey. NHL im not completely sold. Still have him early 2nd
This is the kinda draft where top 5 player go after 10. Top 10 guys go close to 20. And 1st rounders can go in the second round. Deep deep draft. If trade a 2021 pick for a 2020 pickeven if it was a round higher.(e.g. 2021 3rd for 2020 4th)
If Lundell drops to 16.. I would be happy.. Hehe.. so long the habs pick him. Better chance then getting Sanderson at 16.. lol Anywho my picks are Sanderson/Lundell/Guhle/Reichel at 16.. I hope the habs try to trade up. Raymond might actually drop not cause of his skill but his attitude.
Thank you. Glad you liked the video. Im trying to provide good informations while staying somewhat entertaining. I want the videos to be enjoyable for both the big draft nerds and also the general public that dont know much about the players.

@@rickychardzz I know but it's still obvious he is worth of a first round pick. Like he is the next Russian sensation since Vasi. And better then Knight from last year.
