I don’t think you’re being biased by praising his passion so much, players like that are ones who win Stanley Cups, you look at the past 2 years at the Blues and the Caps and that’s all the evidence you need. Both teams got the upper hand through physicality and intensity. Players like Wiesblatt are essential to have in your system these days.
I also want to say thanks for consistently putting out such great videos, I always like before I even watch the video because I know the analysis will be top notch
He just got drafted by the sharks! As a sharks fan, I am very very excited to his talent on full display & I believe he will be a great fit, welcome Ozzy!!!
This guys skating kinda reminds me of Pavel Bure the way he kind of runs on skates. He could be a hidden gem for sure. Good work, dude! Cheers from Nova Scotia.
maybe a potential 32# pick for Detroit if Peterka and Reichel are gone on the 1st round.. I'd like this pick the kid has a great potential he would be a steal in this draft he is really underrated
Great report. I like this cat. High skill with a bad attitude. Toughness and edge in sports are harder to find as the years go on. Even on the ice. Keep up the good work, brother!
This may be a silly idea but: it would be cool if you could make this format of scouting reports on current nhl stars, because the way you assess these players is very interesting to watch. Like maybe an scouting report:analysis of Connor mcdavid or Auston matthews. Love the content and keep it up!
Great content as always man! You're by FAR the best scouting channel on youtube. I'll have to bump him up in my ranking (He deserves to have his name called on friday). Will you have him ahead of Perrault? I mean Perrault has a lot of skills but he's far behind Weisblatt on the compete level/motor (It's a crucial aspect in predicting the future of a 17-18 years old kid). Anyways, one last thing, what's your take on Peterka and Khusnutdinov? I have them both in my top 25...
In terms of skills I feel like Perreault is much better. Especially the shot and scoring ability. I will have Perreault ahead of Wiseblatt even if Wiesblatt got better workethic.. For the second question you should have you answer pretty soon for at least one of the 2 :P
@@DraftDynasty1 Artyom Galimov, Albin Sundsvik, Alex Cotton, Yevgeni Oksentyuk, Samuel Hlavaj, Egor Sokolov, Adam Wilsby, Billy Constantinou, Joonas Oden, Parker Ford, Trevor Kuntar, Xavier Simoneau, Pavel Gogolev, Ilya Usau, Danila Galenyuk to names a few of them
I don’t know if there’s enough to do a video on him or if you would want to but Odeen Tufto is a player at Quinnipiac who from what I’ve seen on him is a very good player, should go check him out. Has always stood out to me in the games I’ve watched of him
Just a little remark: It would be amazing if you could use a spreadsheet in all of your intros... to put things into perspective. I'm a big stats guy (I work in finance :P) and I just feel like the videos would be more «well-rounded» with a bit more of stats analysis. I know it's more work but you would reach another stage 😜. Viewings are really important but so is the stats analysis process. Thanks to you GREIG!, Bourque, Bordeleau, Mcclennon, Robbins and Novak made a pretty big jump in my rankings (Neighbours, Evangelista, etc. followed the opposite direction). It also gave me other players to put on my watchlist.
I agree he sbould be in first round. I have him around 17-20. But I'm wondering why almost every other publication has him in the 40 range? What am I missing. Is it his size? I don't get it.
Definitely it’s the size hurting his ranking, so I DO “get it” I guess... all things equal, it’s definitely an obvious advantage to have size in the NHL.. But IMHO, hockey *talent* is still VASTLY more important than size... But it definitely had an impact on draft position for sure
@@TylrVncnt all thing being equal, I'm not much for caring about size. But you have to look at team specific needs.. The Sabres already have a bunch of small, speedy forwards that are quite easy to play against. That team needs a little size and players that are difficult to handle. Rossi, while pretty good defensively and very strong, is very perimeter oriented, and doesn't get into the "difficult scoring areas" enough. I, along with the Sabres, think Quinn's game translates better to the NHL and is the type of player the Sabres need - if that makes any sense...
In the worst case scenario, barring injuries, he's a career AHLer, but that said, I'm betting he gets his chance in the NHL. His defensive game already looks polished and on offence, I notice even when he has the puck and has someone in his face, he is still able create separation (while using his agility and low centre of gravity) and execute a nice pass or shot. Two things I would check out before drafting him are: (a) his injury history (given his physical style of play), and (b) speed/skating (at the moment it looks fine but at the NHL level would he still be okay?).
It the same order you put it. I like the physical game of Neighbours but I don't think he has a real shot at making a top 6. Missing just a little bit of offensive game for my taste. He's a safe bet to make a 3-4 lines.
