Man I’m excited for you! I was waiting to see what the nitrous can do on the car and how the motor will be able to handle it long term. Are you consistently doing 150 shot or lower than that? Be awesome if you could dyno and see what’s the WHP gain between 75, 100, and 150 shot. By the way thanks for all the info on the weld wheels! The wheels and tires is arriving tomorrow, cant wait to get it on the car and be able to hook! Again, congrats on the build!!
Num Vienthongsuk thanks! And I’ve stepped it down to a 100 for now and with the c16 should be able to gain some more power by adjusting the amount of timing I pull. I do plan on getting the car back to excessive engines dyno to do the testing of the NA power vs the 100 maybe 150 shot
Any idea if Baytown is opening up on Fridays? Or any day of the week? I see Houston House of Power out there, but honestly not sure how the tracks work these days (been years since I've been to a drag strip).
when you drove with the stock front wheels, how was it? i don’t want skinnies just yet, and i just got a drag pack. i’ve been trying to figure out what size i should run in the front, but can’t really find a solution. let me know!!
Hey Jorge, Love the videos! I noticed something with your trans tune and how it shifts so smoothly but sounds like it's off throttle. It sounds like a full manual, is it cutting spark? My tune sort of just rolls into the next gear and it sounds nothing like yours?!
Hey, Yes the car does cut spark not fully but it does cut it slightly. I believe it cuts spark down to around 17 give or take degrees. Pat probably did that to help the trans feel less stress during the shifts.
@@zakoreilly5722 Not really it was worse before. It would cut timing into the negative timing, but Pat adjusted the tune to have it not cut as much and still be safe for the trans
Yeah definitely can be an issue. I plan on using the progressive function to ease the power into the car at the track to help with the stress on the drivetrain
How do you like these vs the ET street s/s? Been wanting to grab a set but cant decide weather I want to daily drive the S/S or the R’s lol but what’s your take for daily driving either the s/s or the R’s? Which would you recommend?
The R’s are much stickier, I don’t daily drive the car, and think either one wouldn’t be the best for daily driving. I would stick with the R’s, and get some toyo r888rs or nitto 555r2s for daily driving
@@Zle_blacklightning you have to flip it to auto and sometimes i don't do it just depends on some of the test pulls it was just in one gear so no need to flip over to shift
Curious about something. I have the same size rear tire the 305/45/17 on my zl1. Now, those tires are 28" tall while the stock is for me 27.2 tall. Your should be 27.4. So, the taller 28" will slow down the 60 foot which will slow the 1/4mi by a tenth or more. I was thinking of trying the 17" rims with the 325/35/18 which is 27" tall. Im wondering if that would increase my track times. Any thoughts on this?
I know Erik lol We have been talking and working on setting something up. His car is freakishly fast for being bolt ons and nitrous only. He might even beat me the way I've seen him run vs other cars lmao
@@JLSpeed ah okay, thats what im working with right now, mid 3's.. do you have suspension work done? looking to options to get better 0-60 times on the street
@@JLSpeed crap so i order some vms 17x10 wheels and i couldnt figure out what lug nuts to order so i searched around and was seeing 14x1.5, is that wrong?
