No modern standard production car was made for drags except the Challenger 1320 edition, remember standard regular production not ultra 1 yr extreme limited, aka the Demon or limited RedEye's.. And with the base LT1 model its got weaker axles, brakes, trans tuning, stuff that should be fixed first.
This car has maybe 100 passes already on slicks and nothing has broken. Runs consistent 7.1 1/8th mile times. My buddy in stock a10,stock diff lt1 camaro regularly runs 5.8-6.0 in the 1/8th mile. I'm almost sure the drive train is the same on the ss and lt1. maybe cooling and some cornering stuff changes.
